olympics. chinese government officials warned athletes they should be careful when discussing chinese laws and regulations or face, quote, certain punishments. now human rights activists say silence will not stop when the athletes head home. several human rights experts those athletes who depend on corporate sponsorships for their income may need to continue to keep silence. your thoughts? >> yes of course. because those companies have a real incentive to toe beijing's line, propagate chinese narratives. we have american politicians who are concerned about the safety of the athletes who say don't speak out. this all shows that it is not safe to send anybody, athlete or not, to chinese soil. we've known this for quite some time. china takes hostages. this is just lawless behavior. and it is just dangerous to go to china. jackie: can we talk about

pungshai stepping back from the allegations, being interviewed under circumstances you can understand she might step back from what she said? >> clearly she made allegations of rape in her november weibo poe posting. she said i was misunderstood. we have the words and the words are crystal. china is doing everything it can possibly can to force her to say, no, i wasn't saying that at all. this really shows coerce i have power of the chinese regime. for that they used the international olympics committee to coerce and silence peng shuai, which goes beyond all behavior that is civilized. jackie: gordon in the last minute we have i want to talk about the origins of covid-19, the investigations into it. of course china hasn't cooperated. that is one of the biggest gripes many people have when it comes to hosting the olympics right now.
6:50 pm
if you don't comply with international investigations of this magnitude you do not deserve this forum. >> well certainly and the world health organization has not pressed china hard. it was wrong for president biden to rejoin the w.h.o. on this first day in office. you know about the origins is one thing but we also know, jackie, that chinese leaders, ones this disease got out into china actually took decisions to deliberately spread this beyond china's borders. that is 5.7 million people who have died. more than 900,000 americans. by the way, that technically qualifies as a genocide under article ii of the genocide convention of 1948. jackie: it has been catastrophic and china should be held accountable but not sure this administration can do it. gordon chang, thank you. and good to see you. >> thank you, jackie. jackie: migrant encounters topping two million in 2021 on pace for a repeat performance this year. what is the white house doing about the crisis here at home?

welcome back, joining us now, ken paxton talking about the prices at the border, attorney general worse by the day data coming in showing migrant encounters across the southern states including texas topped 2 million in 2021, the white house says no problem sending to eastern europe but what about our border? >> they are not taking it seriously, just the opposite. they are inviting this, it's incredibly disheartening and frustrating from a complete disdain and disrespect for federal law and not just ignoring it, they are doing the opposite inviting it to come and it doesn't matter if people have criminal backgrounds or come in with covid or part of the cartel. they are all welcome. >> i feel like it's an issue now in respect to how much is covid, there is so much else the

administration is doing to talk about but having said that, authorities stopped another 178,000 unauthorized migrants at the southern border in december alone. the white house brings others and by air, we got video that. first nine months of 2021, the administration sent $340 million transporting water crosses illegal aliens into the country. >> it now more than 100,000 transported in one shape form or fashion. the total cost, not just flights but the new pendulum places where they live, the healthcare's over $2 billion, there's no end to how much damage the biden administration seeks to do is no end to how much money they are willing to spend our money in order to pack america millions of illegal aliens. >> $2 million. when we are fighting over how to spend funds to help our own

people on certain issues. think about this, they are transported by air into different states, they need housing and assistance finding work and their children put in schools. they need programs to help them learn to speak english, all of these things costing the state taxpayers. >> there's no doubt it's costing billions of dollars. not only money into law enforcement but we have to educate, healthcare and all these things you said and if none is authorized by congress so it's falling on american taxpayers to the federal government and local taxpayers. the cost to every american is there and unfortunately it's never been voted on or authorized, the opposite. he supposed to stop this and he has no care about it at all. >> this is interesting because some help could be on the way for border agents who have complained they don't have the support they need to do their job, they actually want to. robot dark and testing to help stop the migrants along southern border, they feature this

advanced army technology including zoom, night vision, thermal sensors and your take on all of this? >> anything that helps border agents. these men and women are brave and courageous and put themselves at risk. the death rate among these border patrol is up because of covid, tooth 75%. the problem is even when we catch them, they just claim asylum come into the country and they are flown in the middle of the night to someone else, it doesn't seemed like the biden administration even when we catch them tries to turn them around. >> it's hard to think about the robot stops in testing if they could help when we got the poor material bear paid for, raw material and the administration doesn't want to punish the wall. what you think of the agenda is here? they said don't come and get people came, they said we will institute remain in mexico yet they are not doing it. what are they trying to accomplish here?
6:59 pm
my sense is they are trying to take the migrants across the country and essentially change the electoral mass. >> you hit it. that's exactly what they are trying to do. they want to give amnesty to these people get as many and as possible, make sure we get them to the right places in the right congressional districts and states, i think it's all planned. there's tremendous cost in the states, we are doing well as states, republican states in creating opportunity and it also cost these states and makes it harder for us to do well and i think that's part of the agenda. >> when we first started having these conversations, it was just border states, your state. now it's impacting americans across the country. is there anything we can do to stop this if the administration isn't willing to? >> we've got our constitution government present clearly doesn't respect that. he's not fulfilling his constitutional role. congress could do something, they would have to impeach the president.
