are paying right now. companies are seeing record high 10% inflation over the past 12 months for stuff they need to make the products to sell. this intersects with the invasion of ukraine. china is very clear it will not stop any economic activity with russia. china offering u.s. a warning, a chinese foreign ministry spokesperson saying we strongly urge u.s. not to undermine the interests of china and other parties when handling relations with russia. china and russia will continue to conduct normal economic and trade cooperation in the spirit of mutual respect, equality, mutual benefits. i asked directly the white house press secretary about this. talking about red lines what u.s. need to see for that breaking of sanctions? >> i understand your question. i'm not going to outline it from here. we watch closely. the world is watching closely. and our national security advisor was clear. there will be consequences should they, should they violate our sanctions. reporter: senator marsha

dependent on china. we allowed it to happen over the years. i've been arcing for years we need to be less dependent on china. we need to reshore our companies. get operations back here in america. elizabeth: we have supply chain chaos now hitting, coming out of china and russia. >> yeah. >> federal reserve, we don't know if they will raise rates more than the quarter point they're talking about but why is the president talking about executive orders on climate change? >> he has run out of options here. he tried to pass the massive "build back better" plan, the american public doesn't want it, jamming another five trillion dollars of experiences on the backs of america and on the climate issue they have been wrong from the very start of this administration. joe biden from the first day began a war on the oil and gas industry frankly precipitated much of the disaster we're encountering right now. if you think about it, the price increase he precipitated in america, when he stopped the keystone pipeline, he stopped drilling on american lands, cut off access to anwr, that price

domestic gone around the world. biggest wind full to vladmir putin and russia. biden is funding the war machine for russia against ukraine at the same time we're trying to stop it. elizabeth: california's demand for electricity could double in 23 years. california is phasing out gasoline cars. buildings are pushed off natural gas. stressed out power grid hit by rolling blackouts. power grid is fueled by oil and gas, 2/3 of the electricity comes from that. the pressure on the california grid could rise 90% as a flood of electric cars and more hit the road. anything fossil fuel related, stoves, water heaters, will get plowed out, a study given to california regulators by consulting firm energy and environmental economics. so why is the white house, energy secretary, pete buttigieg why are they touting electric cars not talking about that part of the story?

again and again they are misleading the american people about this. >> massively misleading, so myopic, so shortsighted. it is almost a religion, theology to these people. they keep pushing towards the green solution when they don't have the bridge to get there the infrastructure is not in place to support this. the alternative fuel sources are not there yet they have decided to wage war on the oil and gas industry from day one in this administration and they put america in a terrible bind. elizabeth: watch the president again blame putin's price hike. prices have consistently been rising since march of 2021 after they passed trillions of dollars in spending. watch the president blame inflation started last year on a war that pegahn in february of this year. watch a democrat congresswoman, americans if you're upset with president biden and rising gas you're un-american. watch this. president biden: make no mistake, the current spike in gas prices is largely the fault of vladmir putin. there is nothing to do with the american rescue plan. >> right now in the last two weeks this is putin.

elizabeth: joining us fox news contributor, former utah congressman, jason chaffetz. great to have you back on. your reaction to russia sanctioning the president, press secretary, hillary clinton and biden's son hunter biden? what were your thoughts when you heard that? >> i thought it was going to happen. look, the sanctions went from the united states against russia. russia will do things. they confiscated airplanes evidently. they will provide sanctions but hunter biden's problems go well beyond anything that has to do with just russia. elizabeth: let's talk about this, your take on this story. a lawyer for "the new york times" says "the times" reached an agreement with the state department to get emails, correspondence, possibly text messages involving hunter biden, tied to hunter biden's business dealings. the disclosures could start coming out april 28th. it is about communications, emails sent or received between

the u.s. state department and the embassy in romania. >> yeah. this romanian deal that hunter biden was, is alleged to have been involved with is it really shady. it is the end of the obama-biden administration. you have a corrupt person there in romania who is accused of crimes, getting a piece of property at a sub rate, that he shouldn't have, and he thought he could lean on the united states to help him get out of it. he leans on hunter biden. hunter biden says you need an attorney. that attorney happens to be louis freeh, former fbi director. fbi director gets a book of business. the former fbi director deposits $100,000 into the account of joe biden's grandkids in a trust. i mean this is one of the most outrageous stories there is. so "the new york times" sues. the state department to get those emails. they shouldn't have to sue them. but they're prevailing, there is an agreement that the state department still negotiating the

deal, march 25th, we'll know the specifics, they're supposedly going to turn over the documents but why is it that joe biden's grandkids are profiting $100,000 while he is vice president of the united states to try to get some guy out of jail in romania. this one stinks to high heaven. elizabeth: jason, reminds us of what happened with the chinese energy conglomerate officials giving a credit card to hunter biden's uncle, reportedly james biden and his wife to go on 100,000-dollar shopping free. there was reports that hunter biden getting a diamond for payment from a chinese conglomerate, cfc official. jewelry like that is usually involved in money laundering. there are concerns about that. getting back to the romanian story. you're right, it is the second term of obama, 2015 to 2019. also about the improper use of federal government resources by private citizens like hunter biden and the possible evasion of the foreign agents
