come out of more executive actions? >> i think the american public is a lot smarter than the biden administration and democrat leadership in washington seem to believe. as you know the american public knows the biden administration essentially underwritten vladmir putin's war in ukraine because we allowed them to such a massive windfall thanks to the war biden declared on american energy. he destroyed energy since the day he came in office. he is one started massive price hike and blame it on putin. bringing oil companies in to try to blame them. they are great at the blame game. i think the public is too smart for this. everything they do will just just about until november this year. so we'll see what happens. elizabeth: we have a just horrific war, what putin is doing is just an outrage, right? that this is happening again. what he is doing to innocent civilians and citizens of ukraine. it is just horrific. and then so we, you know, your

this point in time. we know a recovered gun, a stolen gun was recovered. so the point is with the strict gun laws that california already has would any new gun law have changed the outcome of this or changed this process? i would say we already have extensive background checks. as i look at this we want to support our police and law enforcement. we want to stop letting people out on bail. we want to deport criminals that come into our country illegally time and time again. not that that is involved in this shooting but i think, the laws already on the books in reference to gun crimes make sure those are enforced, people receive maximum punishment when they commit a crime with a gun. elizabeth: the president and white house doesn't need to have a send button that we know what their policies are when there is mass shooting it may not fit to what happened here at your point. you're right, cops are dealing with a lot of stuff in inner cities. more than 100 police officers

♪. elizabeth: let's welcome to the show former top facebook official kara frederick. good to have you on. elon musk is now twitter's biggest shareholder. he bought nearly three billion dollars worth of shares in twitter, that is more than a 9% stake. he doesn't like twitter undermining free speech. will he shake it up over there? what do you think? >> i really hope so and i think the opportunity is there because elon musk gets it. he tweeted out on march 26th when he already knew he bought the shares but the public didn't mow that twitter is the defacto public town square and that failing to adhere to free speech principles undermines democracy. he said what should we do about it? so if his public pronouncements are to be believed he gets it, i think ceos, including the ceo of twitter, mr. ing a wall said

our role is not to abide by the first amendment. i hope elon musk says we'll use the first amendment. that will be the guiding principle for this company going forward. he wields that influence accordingly. elizabeth: the twitter ceo said our job is not to abide by the first amendment. then they're marketing themselves as america's town square. he can't have it both ways. we saw misinformation and suppression about trump russia, about the pandemic, and about hunter biden. the national conversation is being twisted and distorted by the power of big tech and conservatives don't like it. can you speak more to that? >> absolutely, you have to remember that twitter has been a leading voice when it comes to the suppression of conservative thought. thought that is just inconvenient to the progressive leftist narrative. the best example of this, you mentioned the hunter biden laptop suppression, so twitter was even breaking direct messages with links to that

"new york post" story. so they very much led the way when it comes to all of this and what we know now is that these aren't just sort of harmless, oh, we're just making it up as we go along and letting the wind sort of blow as they may. no, there is an ideology behind this and there is political and electoral impacts. media research center they polled last fall and showed one in six biden voters had they been aware of information like the hunter biden laptop story they would have voted differently. so there was a mclaughlin and associates poll, said most americans think this was election interference, social media interference in particular. elizabeth: tell us, tell us more what you know about people inside of twitter and facebook doing the censorship, who are they? >> some of them are just regular people, regular analysts. they are content moderators. people sort of looking at this information and they're saying oh, this constitutes our

breaking developments coming in from john katko joins us, thank you for joining us. you were with border patrol in a meeting today, what did you find out what's going on with the border? >> i started my years 20 years ago in el paso prosecuting cartel and i've never heard it as bad as it is now. right now we know as many as 8000 a day or coming across the border. when title 42 is revoked, they expect that to be as high as 18000 people a day we know because there's a surge of the border, border patrol agents aren't able to do drop intersections and that's why there's 100,000 people dying last year of drug overdose, the first time that's ever happened and it's expected to go up because of title 42. what people don't know and when brandon judd said to the council, at least $4000 a
