right now faster than the spanish armada. university poll 38% of voters approve of the president's job performance that is a new record for joe but joe, that's bad because that means 70% of the people think you're doing a horrible job. nearly 80% of the voters say country is on the wrong track the how can he turn things around? i like to turn things around because i want the country to turn around. people are happy and on a better economic footing, people respond to the surveys give the president better numbers and i don't think it's a bad thing. >> of course. i want the country to succeed and therefore i would like joe biden to be same. it's probably not the most likely outcome given the fact that the policies he has an active both foreign and domestic have catered to the left wing of his face although i'm not sure

how much joe biden is in charge of these policies, i agree with you with the pudding cup reference, he's reading off a teleprompter but the policies are out of his administration, like the southern border becoming a crisis again sending baby formula down to the southern border crisis when moms in america can't buy it. all of this crazy spending when we are in massive inflation spiral upwards. then finally, we are about to have title ix regulations that define the word sex in federal law so men who identify as women can participate in women's sports in college campuses. kennedy: that means ucla amend women's team and gymnastics, i'm fine with it. call it what you want but it's ridiculous they can have men's programs because of title ix when they could have the best programs in the country. funny billowy barkley, they can have male swimmers.

hoarding so what should people do about hoarding? it is the fear, the fo mo, somebody is going to take your stuff. >> hoarding is a global problem, it's not going as a problem in covid, it always has been a problem with hurricanes, the problem is government needs to figure out a plan for when there's a shortage or destruction because the baby formula thing, there was a problem, they had to shut down the fauci and i'm sure it was not as well as it could have been done but the bottom line, it leaves stories that lead to hoarding and whether it toilet paper or baby formula or gasoline, when people think there's going to be around, we better get some before others get it all. the only way to break that is have the price temporarily higher. you can go couch, the stores have to charge more. the prices can't stay the same, you have to discourage the behavior buying more and you need and to do that people need

to think it's not going to run out because let's pretend they went to $10 gas during the hurricane, people then will be reassured, it's not going to run out at $10, people will wait and therefore i don't need to fill up my cars just in case so you have to break the hoarding mentality by letting the retailers make accounting profit or the government has to step in with the temporary tax to discourage the behavior otherwise it will go on and get worse because it's real if you believe it's going to happen and you run out, then you will run out because everyone will buy the supplies, pet food, dozens of these popping up especially since covid when we got into this whole paranoia mode. kennedy: they take on a life of their own but for baby formula, that is real for people. was also real is the rate hike from the fed, is it too much, too soon? is it like getting engaged on the second date? >> it's really not, they've done so little if you think about and it has caused so much chaos

it does play a critical role, i was one of the founders who invented the stable coin, it's got about 90 billion behind it, over 50 trillion transactional value, the most used. the promise of what luna was doing was offer algorithmic stable coin that did not depend upon legacy financial infrastructure. it was an experiment, i got very big, too big and unfortunately experiment failed in its imploded and wrecking the markets right now when they were already in a vulnerable state. this will pass and what doesn't break us makes us stronger but this is in the world of crypto one of the events, we get one every few years and this is no minor event, it is definitely hitting us very hard and creates buying opportunity. kennedy: it does but for people

on.base, it might be a selling opportunity because they are worried if coin base files for bankruptcy, they will take everyone's assets with them. >> that was some unusual language to put in their disclosure. right now it's only about two times -- tremendous amount of assets on the balance sheet so the idea of bankruptcy occurring seems highly unlikely. i haven't done deep digging, i am not concerned about it as someone who is relatively early investor in coin base obviously did very well on it but these are buying opportunities, to quote warren buffett which i know he wouldn't like me using him in this industry, he does compare this to rat poison and probably feeling happy today. kennedy: i know, i can't stand those people, told you so. no you didn't.
