police snipers killed the suspect eventually. they found a pistol with an extended clip and casings in his apartment. the protest began then. mom wasn't having it saturday she confronted the mom that surrounded her home saying this was very different than other police killings and her neighbor could have killed her as he was trying to do apparently. >> that man was armed, george floyd was not armed. breonna taylor was not armed. this man tried to kill us. >> for three years i've lived here. trying to see if he was okay. not at all. [inaudible] there are paintings in the hallway. he went through my door into the kitchen. i was cooking food for my kids. it doesn't matter --

this case? >> she's absolutely right and basically representing all of us, victims and future victims who will be completely without any protection if blm continues to alienate and demonize police. police, snipers who shot that crazy armed man stop him from killing that mother and her kids were heroes. that poor woman as if she hasn't been traumatized enough, now she has to have as you say, misguided, the nicest word i could think of, just grifters hanging around trying to demonize the police, trying to turn this into some sort of racial problem when it's a crime problem. it's a violent crime problem and the man with the gun, maybe he

should have been rescued earlier and given some sort of mental rehab help but the fact that he was a danger. kennedy: clearly protests like this are weakening the movement which partly started with good intentions but where were you for the last three years? why were you trying to help then? where is the energy there, why isn't it going to things like community intervention where maybe this type of passion would be better put to use? >> that sounds like a blm argument but i want to say i'm with the mom here, i think from what i can understand, she's saying this man was terrorizing her and he was firing bullets into her family's home and threatening not only hurt but

her children. of course she's going to call the cops and of course the cops are going to respond and the cops were in a six hour standoff. that's why i say emotionally, i am with her, i don't think there's any question but on the other hand, i also understand someone who lost their lives and that someone may have been someone's husband, someone's son, i don't know but a human being died. okay so given what we know about it's like uvalde or the guy who shot up a supermarket in buffalo, he's in jail, alive. this guy is dead, maybe you can understand but did you have to kill him, was not the only step? i like what you said, maybe you have community intervention or something but the police were in a difficult position and i think they have to be respected here because they are dealing with someone who according to the mom, was out of his mind. kennedy: the only reason he

didn't kill the kids is because he had that aim, it wasn't because he wasn't trying to. this is not a virtuous person and the problem i have here when you have fully emotional arguments and reactions to things like this, you don't have proper police reform and maybe there are ways police officers can work with mental health authorities and combing these things down before they get here but what do you see here, spike? >> in incidents where police have wrongfully killed or assaulted someone who was innocent, you will find no greater ally in meat and other libertarians fighting for accountability for bad actors in police department across the country. this appears not to be that case and it's unfortunate a lot of people why thinker on the grount word because i think a lot of them got this was somebody wrongfully killed by police but they are by an organization who

rallies people against police brutality to vote for the architect of police brutality as well as war on drugs and other things, joe biden and yet another example. it's an example of how they got this mother and her children are not dead because the fact is when seconds count or sometimes split seconds, putin police are several minutes or hours plus away in another example of why americans need to realize government is not in a position to protect us, we need to arm, train and protect ourselves and thank god it didn't end in death it could have. as far as we can tell, the right person died here. kennedy: all i have to say is blm, if you strengthen your movement, you're doing it wrong speaking of police reaction, go to uvalde, we talked about it a little bit, the scene damning report more victims may have survived school officials and law enforcement had done their jobs properly.

mispronounced some words and then come home and i think that's what the trip is going to be remembered for unfortunately. kennedy: do you think opec is kind of mocking the president now and being a little delighted he's been ghosted by the crown prince? >> i don't know if they are in the not trying to avoid the question, i'm just saying i don't know because many of the opec nations want to be friends with the u.s. and have an alliance. it's hard to watch this president as he stumbles around internationally, it certainly doesn't does demand a lot of respect. if you want to increase oil production, here's an idea, do it here in the u.s. why in the world are we going to saudi arabia and venezuela and other nations begging them to increase production? which by the way, they will do it far less stringent environments or concerns the united states when the reality is we could and should be doing got here. eighteen months ago we were doing that here and it's absurd

for the president to beg for oil because cut down and cut back our own domestic production. kennedy: what would you do if you were president, would you talk to the saudi's and have relationship with them? you think you would have been more forceful in the condemnation of khashoggi's murder? >> absolutely. both of those are possible. the reality is saudi is an important ally, they have been for several generations and they have had our back on important issues. for example, the first gulf war and others. the most critical nation in that region among arab nations, we have to have a relationship with them but the president talked with the president of china, he's talked with -- he's got to talk with many of our adversaries. that's the job of the president, have engagement and conversations with our friends and foes and adversaries but it has to be well thought out, there's got to be a goal and he

can't just look weak and fickle and walk away with slumped shoulders saying i give it the old college try. kennedy: but did he really? from your perspective, your on congress on the opposing party, what is the biden doctrine? >> internationally? i don't know, i wish you would tell me. it seems to be make friends with iran, the world worst state sponsor of terrorism, let's weaken the united states domestically by relying on foreign oil. i could go down a long list of things but if you tell me the biden doctrine, i'd be pleasantly surprised because i don't think anyone of us know what is right now. kennedy: if you want president trump to run again? >> i want a strong president coming in after him, president trump would be a very strong president, we know that. it's going to take so much
