seen to be believed and she did walkabouts and whatever and why she wore bright dresses so people could see her even in the crowd. these words are clichés but is irreplaceable it will be very difficult for king charles to come with the same amount of respect because she was incredibly beloved, very popular. the monarchy was not so he's got a job on his hands to try to ensure that stability. kennedy: her popularity has grown over the decades particularly the last ten years. as scandals burn out completely new ones pop up, her presence and grace have always been a constant. charles had his own scandals before he met diana and their marriage and divorce so he sort of embodies that, what's the best case scenario for king charles?

>> it's interesting, i think will be different. the big thing about the queen that made her such a success was this incredible way for 70 years she totally avoided getting involved in any kind of controversy. she never forced an opinion on anything including this modern era of social media coverage and so on. charles is the opposite. we know his opinions on just about everything. architecture to organic farming, ministers in the government, political persuasions over the years, used to getting letters from charles, the school service used to call it black spider, sprawling handwriting or he would weigh in on the politics of the day and he's expressed that publicly so he can't pretend to be neutral for things. who could put him in with somebody who's a real fanatic on

climate change and if you take what he says and put it in the mouth of a politician, he be aoc level on climate change so it will be interesting to see how he reconciles that past openness about his views on particular issues with his new role uniting the country. kennedy: we are running out of time, i wish i had four hours with you. william he now becomes the duke has access which will be a lot of money, how does his life change? >> he's next in line to the throne, king charles exceeded to the throne at an advanced age so you can do the math, at some time william will be in his place and i think he's thinking hard to keep the monarchy relevant and keep direct expect going, i think he has more chance of doing that because it seems looking at public opinion he and particularly kate have
