compromise immigration, why should they have what they have, and open border. unfortunately we have what we have which is over 100,000 people so far will die this year from fentanyl. the fact is we need to control our borders if for no other reason than to control illegal activity separately from millions of people welcomed here around a system, yes, the system could do better but let's be honest whether it's 1 million 2 million or 3 million, there has to be a number and what you reach it, you've got to be able to say no to the rest. they don't want that no and i don't want our country without border security and opportunity for those already down. kennedy: a much more robust immigration system, i'm one of the people, i feel people should be able to come work here because if they can come to this country and work humanely chances are, they will go back, they are not doing that because

issues. as a huge portion of people that don't realize people are coming across the border so now all of a sudden things to abbott and desantis forced the media to cover it so it's a losing battle in the short term which they know. kennedy: when does this change, when we reach critical mass in terms of shipping and fussing and flying people across the country x that's not going to change the existing laws, which party is going to get serious about this? obviously is not the democrats, no offense. >> it's an important question. for trying to get something done on this, it's when we will see action and i don't see that in the short term he mentioned years of years in terms of the house and senate on immigration reform going back to george w. bush and others we passed a company has a built in 2013 by marco rubio that gave amnesty over ten years to undocumented folks in the country, he reversed course for his run and

it died in the house of republicans so as long as a political football back and forth and infrastructure is in there on either side to do something, when we see this massive number of folks, it's a crisis, i'm a democrat saying it's a crisis and we need action but until structure changes in receipt uncivil people willing to compromise and figure out a solution, i don't see anything happening. kennedy: maybe don't go all in on amnesty, maybe amnesty isn't the answer, maybe there are other aspects that are completely broken and when you throw amnesty in, it's so offputting to half of the electorate, you will never get anything done but there are plenty of reasons to streamline, simplify, improve the immigration system. >> yeah i live in the world of federal criminal law so we talk about this issue of aiding and

abetting all the time so there's conduct you think is improper and should not be condoned or allowed, you don't aid and it but, you don't give incentives to engage in that. so you should not incentivize but i go further and say the actions of various administrations have aided and abetted what they are outraged about now so when you give incentives and dangle carrots like amnesty, it's not something dangling pardons for criminals for certain kinds of conduct you disagree with so the ministrations have to realize, taking is out of the political realm, go head on but don't put in the political realm because it's only exacerbating the problem. kennedy: they can't help themselves, they are a bunch of children. both him out of office. democrat leaders worrying about a different kind of invasion.
