>> reporter: another busy morning, hundreds of migrants in eagle pass, texas, war migrants cross here than any other part of the southern border according to new data. we see those large groups like this morning, look at your screen, earlier this morning we cut up a large group of migrants coming across the rio grande river right into the united states being processed by border patrol agents who leave their patrols to do that paperwork. this comes as sources tell fox news that for the first time ever the adult rio sector has surged past the rio grande valley clocking in 463,000 migrant encounters and counting. it is not just people crossing on foot, smugglers are out in full force on texas highways. look at this man posing as a driver for moving company was busted after investigators found a dozen migrants hiding in the back of his truck.

you can see he was taken into custody. just one of the smugglers arrested in the last few months as migrants pour into the united states, agents tell us it is difficult to know who these people aren't if they have a criminal record once they get here. is month agents arrested a mexican citizen a group connect acted of third-degree sexual assault in connecticut. that is the mug shot of a layer radio martinez, he was deported in 2015, but he was spotted by border cameras this month in texas and taken back into custody yet again. also, let's take a live look at the fox drone team camara along the rio grande river, officials tell us most of migrants coming in now are from mexico, venezuela, nicaragua and cuba. people who live here have one question. they want to know when is the federal government going to step in? when is the president himself going to come out here and see these migrants going across the river every single day and here in eagle pass, texas, that is

putting a major strain on local resources and when people call 911 or need help these border patrol officers, city and sheriffs don't have a lot of time to show up for people who live here. stuart: it is shocking and it only gets worse. thanks for being with us. the border report is a key part of this program. we have a city in north carolina giving away free cash to former inmates. obvious question. who is paying for it? ashley: it comes from a variety of nonprofit groups and donations including one from former twitter ceo jack dorsey. the city of durham is giving $500 month stipend to 109 formerly incarcerated people, the pilot program part of a nationwide project called mayors for guaranteed income, 44 cities across the country announced they are taking part, the city of durham says the guaranteed income is meant to

scores because of covid because for two years they were not in school, they were not learning anything. we know how far behind the united states has fallen behind other developed nations as relates to education and i think what parents want is their child to be prepared for the future, you want the basics, you want them to be able to reach basic standards when it comes to reading, math, science, not focused on pronouns, gender identity, critical race theory and you do have a lot of schools out there that have put that into their curriculum and a lot of teachers focusing on that and especially putting books forward that probably are not suitable for young children to read. i think this article claims a lot about parents, saying parents are getting a little crazy, maybe rightly so.
