prosperous future. kind of talking points that seems like they were invented by frank luntz, but they started speaking with the transgender ideology, some of the woke ideology, and that shows you in a document that largely avoids controversy of any kind, republicans feel comfortable fighting that fight against teachers unions that shows you the polling is completely behind it. kevin mccarthy wasn't doing anything in in that wasn't well polled, but they feel they can come out and make waves. we've seen pushback at the university level, at the education -- excuse me, element ily school level, high school level, all across the country, across political parties. ever since covid when parents got an eye on what was going on inside the schools, they've been pretty horrified. jackie: yeah. it was an eye-opening experience, as you mentioned. the nea, which is the largest teachers union, spent over $140,000 in july on opposition research against 25 parents' rights groups for speaking out on sexual and gender identity

lessons in the classroom, right? this has been a huge issue. it came to the forefront when governor ron desantis in florida brought up the parental rights bill on education and sort of gave parents a sense of, you know, you want to have some control about what the kids are learning in the classrooms. think about the fact that the teachers union is spending this kind of money on the opposite side of the coin is actually pretty amazing. it's staggering. >> and that's something that people really also learned during covid. i'm just outside d.c., in loudoun county there were attacks on parents, parents who were barred and parents whose children had been sexually assaulted who were arrested and tried to be made villains. everybody had good teachers growing up. everybody knows a teacher. people want to be on their side, but the last two years have exposed corruption, harassment and just really weird insanity coming and politicization coming from some of these schools that people have really woken up to it. it's actually, despite how

difficult it's been for all of us having to help our kids through video learning and handle that and doing the long commutes and having the sadness of children wearing masks, the fact that we with now know what's going on and make decisions based on that is a blessing. jackie: yeah. we were just showing video of loudoun county, virginia. remember those school board with meetings where parents would speak up about some of the things that kids were learning, critical race theory and a bunch of, you know, things that were concerning to them, chris? we just have one minute left here. having said that, they essentially were attacked by the other side for doing that, and they were put on watch lists. i mean, people, parents were being demonized for speaking up and saying i don't want this for my child. >> when we went out to meet with a group of the parents who have become activists over this to film a documentary for the federalist, one of the early questions we asked was who here voted for obama? a lot of hands went up. who here's been involved in
