moved suddenly south. let's watch governor desantis. >> why do you stand behind the decision to not have mandatory evacuation until the day before the storm? >> where was your industry stationed when the storm hit? were you in lee county? no, tampa when we went to bed monday night people said it was a direct hit on tampa bay, worst case for the state. they were following the data and you remember people were looking at the panhandle sunday, everybody had adequate opportunity to get to a shelter within the county. residents did not want to do that. probably for various reasons, some people didn't want to leave and they are island people. elizabeth: people have well built homes and felt multimillion dollar homes built like fortresses could be fine but that trying to get a gotcha moment when people are dying.

into supplies and look at this, opec planning a major cut in oil output coming up possibly this week. kelly o'grady has more from l.a. >> always good to see you. this would be a major blow to our supply challenges, shrink supply and oil prices will rise as we head into a long winter. consider slashing production, expected reduction is 1 million barrels a day, that would be historic cut. the biggest since the beginning of covid. oil prices are soaring, energy analysts predict we could reach over $100 a barrel in the next few months. this reduction would be in addition to ending release of 1 million a day from strategic petroleum reserves, biden administration has been depleting those in service of short-term relief at the pump

responder, new york city, another random unprovoked attack u.s. crime wave. what was your reaction when you heard this? >> i got to tell you, my heart was broken. here was a woman who served in this country during september 11 and served valiantly. to lose her life's on the street of new york said. i've got to tell you, the streets of america are like when ukraine when it comes to crime. they are war zones and the victims unfortunately are law abiding citizens. when we think about new york, just recently we had a woman beaten in new york by a repeat offender out on parole. she may well lose her eyes. last weekend we had 34 shot in chicago, five dead.

among those dead was 3-year-old child, a victim of a road rage killing. in virginia we had a guy who shot and killed the 2-year-old child and he's going to be released on bond or was released on bond, a 3-year-old child in a barbershop with his father, s shot. all of these are victims of crime. elizabeth: women and children are getting shot. we don't hear them standing up saying enough crime was dropping for 30 years thanks to good men and women like you. you fought hard for this and now it's hitting historic highs. within weeks of new york state no cash bail reform law in 2020, reports of more than 2000 career criminals released back onto the

streets and now estimates that nearly 375 were rearrested this year by nypd, robbery, car theft and more. crimes rose 34% it was dropping three decades. illinois did the same no cash bail. >> what we are finding is these legislators and various venues are friends of criminals. in philadelphia to date we've had 400 homicides. we got a d.a. soft on crime there. we got a d.a. in california, george gascon, very soft on crime. we've got to do something, take back our cities. we cannot continue to live this way. elizabeth: prosecutions for gun possession in philadelphia dropped by half, now over 1000 have been killed in philadelphia in the past 20 months but soft

classified information probably didn't help her. but nothing helped her so much as having made that decision can that james comey unilaterally made to say that they wouldn't actually pursue anything with her misif handling of classified documents. so all this other stuff, it all just kind of washes out. elizabeth: it's interesting how pointed and withering obama was. he's saying hillary not campaigning in wisconsin, hillary not campaigning in michigan or going to union halls, bill clinton getting on then-a.g. loretta lynch's airplane amid hillary's e-mail scandal, so what this also is indicating too, there's a split between the obama and biden camps. we knew that. and a split between the obama and clinton camps. so the top leadership of the democrat party is not as coalesced as people may think. >> not at all. it's so funny too how these people willing to say so much when talking to their buddies in the corporate media that they wouldn't with say out loud in front of people. then you had it followed up from obama many to trump who would

say everything publicly about how he felt about intraparty disputes, and now we're back to this era of shivving people in the back but doing it, you know, quietly -- elizabeth: you know, they've been making divisive, critics, political wash dogs are saying these top democrats have been dividing america, making divisive comments about democrat voters, about republican voters, you know? just saying divisive comments across the board. and then being divisive behind the scenes about each other. >> yeah. but there was also the problem that he was saying that he wanted these reporters to do his bidding and to be worried if the department of justice would ever go after any democrat. that was also in conversation. he was at that time overseeing the department of justice that had been weaponized to go after the trump campaign and would continue, and now we're in this horrific place we are now where the department of justice is completely weaponized. elizabeth: yeah. >> these democrats are all over the place, they just usually get

covered up. elizabeth: let's watch hbo's bill maher saying the real problem with the biden ticket is the vice president. watch. >> what i could see is replacing the vice president -- [laughter] and it didn't seem to work out, and i don't know, that's been done before on a ticket. i think she's a bad politician and, i mean, i don't think -- i think she's a very bright person, but, i don't know. i can see them typing that. because a -- them doing that. because a lot of the problem with biden being old is, oh, if he dies, you know, you're going to get this person. the democratic party are so boxed in by identity politics that you cannot con steve of a democratic ticket that doesn't have a woman, person of color on it. elizabeth: yeah. and then the vice president ended up getting criticized for saying fema hurricane help should be based on equity. your final word. >> you know, she is cartoonishly bad as a vice president. but the real problem with the democrats is that they all have
