"the washington post" reporting the feds have the goods to charge hunter biden with several crimes, and now the decision lies with the attorney general of the president's home state of delaware. the u.s. attorney. and this case could lead all the way to the big white house. according to the report, investigators have, quote, sufficient evidence to slap hunter with several charges. we're told it is related to tax crimes and a false statement on a gun purchase. the post claims the investigation has been underway

for years. reportedly started with hunter's overseas business dealings, you know, the seemingly corrupt stuff in china and ukraine and god knows where else. it then developedded into a potential tax fraud case, and now and whether hunter also lied about buying a gun. i didn't take any drugs. i mean, i was on crack the whole year. that's pretty much gist of it. earlier today hunter's attorneys releasing a statement trying to defend their client by blaming investigators. the state reads in part, quote, it is a felony for a federal agent to leak information about a grand jury investigation such as this one. any agent you can cite as a source in your article, apparently, has committed such a felony. we expect department of justice will diligently investigate and prosecute such bad actors, end quote. listen, we we all know hunter is shadier than a beach umbrella, but what we don't know is how involve his father, the

thursday night party panel, attorney and author, mike chase is here. we've also got allie breen is back in action and host of part of the problem podcast, he's in studio, dave smith is here. welcome, everyone. great to see you. >> hello. kennedy: all right. so i want to start with you. what charges could hunter biden be looking at, and how serious is it? >> right now the feds are supposedly leaking information about two of the dumbest crimes, like tax evasion and lying about a straw purchase on -- not a straw purchase, using controlled substances while owning a gun. he basically said on a gun form, i'm not an unlawful user of drugs -- can. kennedy: while on crack. >> that's one of the dumbest crimes. if you use marijuana, you're technically prohibited from owning a firearm in the united states with. so that's sort of a dumb crime. i think that one of the more meaningful things behind all of this is you've got -- why are

the feds and agents leaking this information to the news? likely because they're getting resistance from the u.s. attorneys that are supposed to be prosecuting this crime. that's usually when you see this information coming out. i suspect this leak is the tip of the iceberg, but this is being done to coax those u.s. attorneys into actually bringing charges. kennedy: so do you think -- where is this political? do you think, to mike's point, these are a bunch of republican prosecutors and agents who are really sick of, you know, the progressives and government right now trying to keep law enforcement down, or is this merrick garland telling everybody, basically, stand down, we're not moving forward with this? >> if you look at the report, they say it's a trump-appointed prosecution, and all of them need to get trump's name in there constantly whether it's about him or not. the federal government found these charges, found him probably guilty of many oh things and, you know, he's a

crackhead. yeah, of course he lied about a bunch of stuff. what's surprising is he didn't show up naked with a feather boa to sign the pape orwork. -- paper work. [laughter] kennedy: he might have. dave smith, that would be allowed. >> all the guns and drugs you want with. kennedy: as long as you're being a responsible person, not hurting people or taking their stuff. he was taking stuff, he was being an irresponsible person. what are the chances hunter biden gets popped? remember, nobody fs with a biden. >> yeah, i mean, i guess the thing that's interesting, what you put forward is an interesting theory. it could be that there are agents that are upset that this isn't moving forward. the other possibility, which is a real possibility, is that this is a political leak of a different kind, which are these are people who have been protecting joe biden who carried him all the way to this point. he just said he's seeking re-election, and right after that we're seeing it's like, okay, maybe a hint here, we don't have to protect your son.

because i think there's a lot of people in the democratic establishment who are a little bit concerned with the fact that their candidate is very up popular and is clearly borderline senile. so what exactly is going on behind the scenes here, i'm not sure. the more interesting political story of all of this and the reason why it was so messed up that the big tech and the corporate press censored the story to begin with is that the real scandal, while not actually illegal, is that, work, all of -- of course, all of these foreign countries were buying influence in hiring crackhead to be part of their advisory boards. kennedy: it's no different than the clinton foundation -- >> yes. and particularly with the burisma company because it's related to the biggest threat in the world right now, which is the nuclear conflict wean the united states and russia. -after joe biden's government led a coup in ukraine in 2014. burisma, who was in with the previous government, admitted through their actions what they were doing. why didn't they just go bribe the new ukrainian government? they went right to the source, the united states of america.

that's why russia takes it as an attack from america when they're fighting ukraine, and that's why even zelenskyy -- kennedy: it's really interesting that you bring that up, because we don't talk the enough about the fact that hunter biden was involved not only with ukraine, but energy. and that, that's what this war is about. you know with, that's why we are in the situation that we are in. it's because of that part of the world and that very thing in the part of the world. and hunter biden was one of the few people who was able to knit two to together, and it's the devil's scarf. meanwhile, momentummer's dad has of his own. the white house scrambling to find alternative sources of oil after opec's decision to cut production by 2 million barrels a day. thanks, guys. jerks. since saudis flipped us the royal bird, the president reportedly turning south to a different dictatorship. venezuela. >> what's the reaction to the opec+ -- [inaudible] >> disappointment and we're

looking at what alternatives we may have. >> venezuela -- [inaudible] >> there's a lot of they weres. we haven't made up our mind yet. kennedy: according to a report from "the wall street journal,"s the biden administration is in talks with the maduro regime to potentially ease sanctions and increase oil production. in other words, president biden apparently more willing to work with disgusting dictators than becoming energy independent here in this country. so what about drill, baby, drill right here at home? what about nuclear? mike? >> nuclear i know how to pronounce, and that's about it. i mean, that is a good point, because nuclear is widely regarded by thinking people as an actual solution to an energy crisis, right? kennedy: it is. >> and it's something that could generate sufficient energy. i think finish jerusalem. kennedy: it's clean, it's cheap, it's abundant. >> and we're talking about influence. this is influence of a different kind. this is influence by ineptitude, because by ceding our energy independence to the world,

right, you've given over all this power to opec, to these cartel oil companies. and i think the big problem there is you've given all this power to countries like venezuela. you're now -- they have you over a barrel, no pun intended -- kennedy: but pun intended as well. >> but also pup if intended because what can effectively happen is now biden has to go hat in hand to authoritarian regimes. we're doing prisoner swaps all because we're begging for oil when this would not happen in an energy-independent country. that's the unforced error that we have. we also have a congress that's sort of been unwilling to date to impose any kind of available sanctions on on opec for this cartel behavior. now there's maybe some movement in congress for antitrust -- can. kennedy: well, i don't know that sanctions necessarily work, and i'll get into that a with you in just a little bit, but i do think there is something to the idea of swapping prisoners. i think that's really hot. but, you know, why -- if we do need a ramp in order to have

completely clean technologies, why not build that ramp here? that's the thing i don't understand. why not get the government out of the way so energy companies in this country can innovate and come up with new ways of finding what we need right now? >> yeah. that's what needs to happen. i mean, biden won't address that, that it's his policies that have created the situation, you know? he wants to play the blame game. it's, you know, it's russia, it's opec, it's big oil companies. it's like o.j. simpson hooking for the real killer. it's you, you're the one who caused this. we need to start working merchandise the u.s. to solve these problems, and we are good producers. we produce clean, we're more efficient. instead of, you know, begging our enemies to go overcharge us for the same amount of fossil fuel that we already use. we're not cutting consumption. kennedy: instead of punishing and demonizing, you know, smart people and good companies and capitalism which has a tendency to solve problems like this. but what doesn't solve problems and, you know, weeding through some of the details of what's

going on with venezuela, you know, like, now the president's going to buckle and give medicine, why weren't we doing that in the first place? a lot of times in a lot of parts of the world whether north korea, iran or venezuela, sanctions don't work. >> i'd go beyond that. i don't think there's one example of them ever working. they've impoverished countries before, then sometimes they backfire like the ones we have on russia right now which actually seem to be enriching them. kennedy: yes, that is true. >> the stated reason is that we will put so much pressure on the people, they will overthrow the regime. i don't think there's one example. look at cuba, venezuela, iran, that never happens. i mean, hook, we've helped the saudis for eight years fight a war of genocide against the innocent people of yemen, hundreds of thousands of people ted -- kennedy: yeah. >> what to we get for many -- it? nothing. it's an unfair ask. this was one of the stated

grievances of osama bin laden, killing innocent muslims, the bases in the arabian peninsula, propping up israel, and the other was that we demand they reduce the art official price of oil to help our economy at their expense. why do we have a right to do that? this whole thing is stupid. and to all the a points you guys were making before, look, i'll go even further and say this whole climate change extremism is stupid. it's not a real problem and, you know what? if you don't get china and india onboard -- kennedy: it's absolutely meaningless. >> -- it has absolutely no impact on global temperatures over the next -- kennedy: no, it's like finish. >> if we just produce energy here, and not just -- kennedy: it's like trying to get pregnant with a vibrator. >> right. this is not happening -- [laughter] very good analogy. that really brings up an image -- kennedy: but not a baby. >> the truth is that fossil fuels as opposed to what the prosecutionives will tell you are the greatest -- progressives will tell you are the greatest

southern border. in a scathing letter, senators ted cruz and lindsey graham say they have the grounds to take the action if mayorkas doesn't get on the problem. the senators say there have been 3.5 million arrests and 900,000 gotaways since mayorkas took office 19 months ago. now, listen, i think he's a dirt bag, he's a bum, he's doing a horrible job, but shouldn't the gop focus on policy instead of posturing? joining me tonight, congresswoman nancy mace. welcome back, congresswoman. >> thank you so much. kennedy: so, obviously, my corps cat is doing a bad job. obviously, there are massive problems at the southern border. the numbers don't lie even if the administration wants to. but even if you get him out of the job, you still have have a structural failure and systems that need to be reformed. so shouldn't kevin mccarthy be working on legislation instead? >> well, i don't know why the two are mutually exclusive.

i think you can -- congress has the right and the ability and the power to impeach secretary mayorkas. but at the same time, we should be focusing on policies that'll improve conditions at the southern border, as you rightly point out. we'ved had over 4 million people illegally cross our southern border over the last year and a half or so, or since biden was sworn into office. and so one of the things that i'm excited about republicans working on is supply chain policy. supply chain policy that would give jobs and promote jobs to the south of the united states and mexico central and south america, take -- incentivize companies to get out of china and manufacture and two to the south of our border. because when countries can prosper, when there's greater trade and there are jobs and the economy are improved by that trade and manufacturing south of our border through the supply chain process, then we're going to have fewer illegal immigrants. that's one of the ways that republicans can address via policy the immigration issue we have at southern bordered today.

or at least when we're in the majority. kennedy: yeah. the pop that we have though is the trade -- problem that we have though is the trade that's propping up the countries south of us is the illegal drug trade. because demand in this country, it hasn't changed at all. so, you know, if i'm a major corporation, sure, it might be nice to open a factory with cheaper a labor in a place like honduras, but i worry my employees if i try and get people to move there, heir going to be unsafe because you've got narco-terrorists running these various countries. so how do you address that? >> today the united states is funding the very cartels you're talking about. it's a $64 billion industry, $30 billion of that dedicated to drug trafficking, $34 billion -- more than drug trafficking, the cartels are making more money on human trafficking at our southern border. so that has to stop. but if we can address the supply chain and get manufacturers to south america and central

america, that is at least addressing part of the problem. and many of the people that are coming here, they just want to work and they want to go back home. they want to work and send money back to their families. and when there's greater peace and prosperity because of more prosperous if economies to the south of our border, then there's going to be less illegal trafficking of drugs and people and sex trafficking. and i have to tell you, about two weeks ago in the state of south carolina on one of our interstates there was enough fentanyl discovered on the side of the road by our local law enforcement to kill one million people. this is an issue not just in the state of south carolina, but every state across the country. jerusalem ken yeah. >> and it's bot to be addressed one way or another. but incentivizing manufacturing to at least go south and out of china is one step in the right direction. kennedy: all right. now, speaking of the drug war, congresswoman, while i've got you here, what do you think about president biden today pardoning thousands of federal marijuana offenders? >> well, i want to give credit

where credit is due. i don't always agree with the biden administration, i've been very vocal about that, but this is a step in the right direction. the president wants to pardon people for very simple possession of nonviolent cannabis offenders at the federal level. and he wants to encourage our governors across the country to do the same, and i think that's a great first step. i have a bill called the states' reform act, and that is one piece of the puzzle to to addressing cannabis in this country, but there's mored to do. this is a multibillion dollar industry that needs regulation, that needs to be, have some guardrails to insure we're not selling marijuana or cannabis to kids and our youth and to insure that also those that need it for medical reasons like our veterans that have ptsd when they come home from war can get medical care that isn't going to get them addicted to a very dangerous opioids, and we have an opioid crisis in our country. so i applaud the president. i'm going to give credit where credit is due and agree with him on this position. kennedy: yeah.

and i hope they take up your legislation because of the bills that have been presented in congress, yours is the superior one. congresswoman mace, thank you very much for being here. >> can't disagree are there. thank you. kennedy: yeah. all right. now, meanwhile, vice president kamala harris, she was involved in a car wreck, and i'm not talking about the entire biden administration and her vice presidency. no one was hurt, but it turns out monday the vice president's suv struck the curb inside a suburban d.c. tunnel and had to be repaired. there's word a doctor had to check out the vp. now, the secret service under fire for allegedly lying about the incident. the agents involved initially said the car experienced a mechanical failure. it wasn't a crash, you guys, nothing to see. if this was just a harmless accident, why would they try to cover it up? and joining me to discuss, steve hilltop. fresh off my pod -- hilton. fresh off my podcast, i love it.

why the lack of transparency with the secret service? >> well, because it's so embarrassing. [laughter] i mean, it's supposed to be the complete elite protection service, the best drivers, you know, there's movies made about them. they hit a curb. it is just so embarrassing and humiliating. and the herbal thing is they lie about it -- terrible thing. the other part of the story in the light of that fantastic mash-up that the daily show did of kamala harris as veep -- [laughter] and julia louis-dreyfus, fantastic. it looks like she's really trying to live out the script, because there is -- i checked it, season 6, episode 5, she crashes the car into the barn on that occasion can, in into a house, and you just think, what are they trying to do here? is the next thing she's going to be writing a book called some new beginnings? [laughter] kennedy: it is an amazing mash-up. and you have to think that the writers of "veep" are just banging their heads against the wall going, man, if we wrote

[laughter] this is so rich, we could have gone on and on and on. but it's also sad because, you know, she's paris in line for the presidency if something happens to grandpa. so who do you blame? do you blame the secret service or blame her? >> you can't blame her. she wasn't driving. i just think it's just so terrible for her that she's this person that, you know, everyone trumpeted this historic nature of her role, on and on they went about that, and yet i can't think of a single positive thing that's come out of this. and actually in many ways i don't think it's her fault. i've said this before. the real kamala harris, i think, is not character that's now being portrayed through her endless pandering to the left, of feeling like she has to suck up to the activist base of her party. i think actually originally when she was state's attorney general, shed had some tough policies. ing the real kamala harris could be a very different character, but because she's band perking

off the time, all you ever hear from her are these kind of embarrassing word salads and these embarrassing incidents and nothing positive. all the substantive things she's been given to do have been a complete flop. i can't think of a singing positive thing that she's achieved in these nearly two years. kennedy: so how does the real kamala harris respond when her california co-conspirator, gavin newsom, is clearly trying to elbow her out of the way? how does she respond to that when he is putting out statements lu surrogates that he is unequivocally running for president if biden steps aside? what does she do then? >> yeah. first of all, she'll probably call her campaign consultant in california, a guy called ace smith, who basically controls the them do contact party in terms of its campaigns across california because he also works for gavin newsom. so maybe he can figure it out. but she certainly won't. and the next thing she'll probably do is yell at her aides because the other unfortunate

hinge we've seen time and time again is that she blames everyone else for everything that goes wrong, and that's why you've seen this mass go discuss from her office. i'm afraid it's all gone wrong so much more quickly than we could have predicted because in the eni do think she's a smart and impressive woman and really effective in terms of her average old role when she was district attorney in san francisco, did a lot of good things. brought in a program that was very tough to punish and hold accountable parents who didn't send their kids to school, who allowed their kids to play truant. she would never even admit to having done something like that today because she's pandering to the far left. i don't know how she puts it all back together again, and as for newsom, that is going to be a dog and cat fight to really watch. kennedy: i actually two, i know a lot of forward are book looking forward to newsom/desantis, i'm looking forward to newsom/harris. it's gonna get dirty. steve of hilton the, thank you,

steepest pay cut of inflation-adjusted wages in a quarter century. the median decline for working americans was a little over 8.5% in spending power as the cost of living far outpaced their incomes. so will things get better or worse from here, and how the hell can we fight back? here with me now, capitalist pig hedge fund manager and fox news contributor, jonathan hoenig. so what does this mean for people just trying to get ahead in the world, just trying to work hard, do right by their families? what does it mean for them? >> well, it means a much lower quality of life, kennedy. this is not a wall street story. we've been talking about this for months now. this is a main street story. and as you said, i mean, can you imagine president biden running on a platform of, hey, you're going to get a 9% tax hike next year, you're going to get a 9% pay cut. that's exactly what's happened. and, of course, it came stealthily because it came because of inflation. the majority of workers, kennedy can, are losing ground. they're losing about 8.5% every

year for doing the same amount of work. so what's happening to the average american right now? his or her costs are going up, their investments are going down s and they're working more for less money year after year after year. kennedy: yeah. and if the american treatment is to save money and buy a house, people can't to that right now either because, obviously, the fed is raising interest rates to tamp down inflation. that's having an effect on mortgage rates, so it's impossible to borrow money. but people also are withholding spending on things like going to movies and going to restaurants. if they were going to applebee's before, now heir going to chipotle. >> yeah. or maybe not at all. gerald ford called inflation public enemy number one, kennedy. he was serious about it, and now we're seeing why. this is not caused with by greedy ceos or the supply chain, it's caused by government spending. both parties. this starts really under president trump. kennedy: yes. >> $5 trillion, and we're paying for it in terms of our quality of life. people are dating less, going

out to dinner less, they're investing less. and, unfortunately, what government's doing is only exacerbating the problem. carter, to his credit, by 1978, kennedy, jimmy carter was cutting 7,000 government jobs every month. he was cutting government. biden's doing no such thing. kennedy: no. and they have no plans to do that. and you,, you know, we talk about gavin newsom, they're just throwing money, exacerbating the situation, making an inflationary environment even worse because toss thing money at it, it is gas leap on the campfire. -- gasoline. and it's a cruel hinge to do to people. what can people do to fight back, to my original question? >> well, and people are doing the only thing they can do, kennedy. their cutting their spending, they're reducing their aspirations. and this is really what inflation is doing can, hollowing out not just the economy, but all of our quality of life along the way. this is something that only government can cause. you know, as i said, inflation's not caused by, you know, greedty ceos.

only government can cause it, and only government can fix it. by the late 1970s, carter was cutting the size of government, he had a very lean budget. he had taken in plans for a big health insurance program that he wanted, so he did a lot of the work that actually president reagan benefited from. but, you know, president biden so far what do we have, you know? the chips program, student loan forgiveness, more spending, more inflation their pressure that just puts more of a difficult time on that everyday american just struggling to get by. kennedy: all right, so let me ask you this, if the fed keeps raising rates and the biden administration and democrats in congress keep spending money, what happens when those two things happen at the same time? >> i mean, inflation continue to go up and up and up. and this is the real killer,you will, kennedy, it's not like this is just one year. we're talking about 8% loss year after year after year. bank of america had some interesting statistics this a once this inpolice station gets underway, on average, it takes about ten years for it to get

back under 2%, so we could be looking at literally 2031 before all this inflation caused by government spending actually gets back under control. and that's exactly what happened in the 1970s. in 1981 the stock market was below where it was in the late 99 1960s. that's my fear right now, and biden's not doing anything to at least start to get that inflation under control. no deregulation, no spending cuts, just the opposite, and it's making it worse. kennedy: i am growing a beard and going underground. jonathan hoeing good to talk to you. >> be egg. -- be well. kennedy: topical storm is next. ♪ since this half pint -- n othey managers.
