should approve it, they're not trying to conceal it, they are laying it all their basically treating fbi agents who misled the court at least the institution the fbi did, he's laying out exactly what they did so i think that's the way to approach this case so you can look the jury in the eye and say we didn't try to hide anything from you, this is what it is. elizabeth: we got news to fbi officials testifying while they worked on the team, the mueller probe, they wanted to investigate hillary clinton operative charles dolan for his connections to the press secretary for vladimir putin but they were told to stand down. >> i've been saying this since writing a book years ago, i think the collusion here was between the clinton campaign and intelligence and law enforcement apparatus of the obama administration against republican candidate and to the extent there was meaningful collusion with russia it was by the clinton campaign, not the trump campaign.

floor. elizabeth: the journal's investigative team uncovered corruption and conflicts of interest on a massive scale inside the u.s. government, more than 2600 top government officials in 50 agencies, fda, all of that, they basically regulate and enforce the companies that they're trading stock in. >> right. an incredible "wall street journal" expose on that, i will add. i was shocked when i read it. and it shows any kind of legislation, i think, needs to go much further than members of congress. you need to look into similar regulations and maybe even prohibitions at the top leaders of different agencies and regulatory bodies involved with these companies because it's essentially a form of legalized corruption in its current state. elizabeth: it's pretty wild stuff. i mean, when you think about it, when you look at what's happening, we're going to stay on this story, it's a lot of corruption in d.c. that we'll be covering for some time now. john, when you saw that story, you were struck by it, right? >> i couldn't believe the extent
