average worker has lost about $4,000 in income because inflation has been so far outpacing wages. so then we decided let's also look at what happened to peoples savings, their retirement accounts. there is something like 120 million americans who have 401(k) plans. that is the retirement nest egg. what we found, liz, average, account, has lost about $34,000. that is a lot of money to lose. elizabeth: it is. >> that means they will not be able to work more years before they can retire. it may mean they won't be able to necessarily have the down payment for that retirement home they were hoping to buy. it is not just peoples incomes that are getting clobbered by inflation. it is also peoples savings and one other quick point, seniors are the biggest losers when you think about it from biden's inflation. they spent their whole life building up savings. now it evaporates. elizabeth: two trillion vaporized under biden. we got this. want your reaction to this,

president obama warns democrat stop with political gobbledygook, cancel culture, buzz kill, focus on kitchen table costs guess what, people like pete buttigieg ignored obama and continued with the gobbledygook. >> i care most deeply about my family, my kids, work that gives me satisfaction. not being a buzzkill. democrats are. you know sometimes people just want to not feel as if they are walking on eggshells and they want acknowledgement life is messy, that all of us at any given moment can, you know, say things the wrong way, you know, make mistakes. >> the president said this week that the economy is both strong as hell but also if there is a recession, it will be very slight. what exactly is the forecast?

transform the economy when he was running for office. we went from an economy with economic growth, everybody working engages going up and none of that is happening. we're having serious problems. people can't afford to guy food and buy gas. that is more than gobbledygook. that is not up a inch, it is up a ton. if he would acknowledge that. adopt policies that build up the supply side. cut taxes deregulate, focus own energy production, my god these problems would go away quicker than imagine. he just can't do it. elizabeth: what andy just said, it is a supply side problem. now you have pete buttigieg that the president is laser-focused on inflation, now after 18 months going straight up every month? now he is focused? >> it actually tells you a lot about the absence of any talent in this white house. that the person they're having to talk about the economy is pete buttigieg. i mean, my goodness he is one --

elizabeth: couldn't fill a pothole in indiana. >> the supply chain problems were his responsibility. remember, he was going to fix that. it is not fixed. you have so many problems still in terms of getting goods and services on the shelf contributing to inflation. you contact get a rental car anywhere. can't get a new car these days. shows you they are completely out of touch. i agree with andy, i mean, you need to do the supply side just as important you got to cut government spending. you do. that is what caused problem. elizabeth: democrats to your point they're running away from talking about their government spending. >> they don't want to. elizabeth: they're running away. they're not talking about the stimulus checks that they cheerleaded for. gavin newsom want to do that. but we're going to show that in the beginning democrats were all about all the stimulus checks and money. now they are silenced about it. andy, this feels like the most reactive least strategic white house in modern u.s. history. never has a plan for anything, afghanistan, supply chains,

pandemic, inflation. like gimmicky fixes after the fact. >> they don't have a plan or a ridiculously bad plan. this is really simple. they call it the law of supply and demand for a reason. why they call it a law. if you bring down demand like the fed is doing with interest rates, build up supply side you will do what ronald reagan end to inflation. inflation is causing the problem. elizabeth: reagan and trump was doing it, to a degree george w. to a degree. they so politicized it like anathema, like diabolical talk supply-side econmics. why they can't do it, so politicized economic debate, right, steve? >> this isn't complicated. they came in, spent four trillion dollars, by the way one of their lines, biden came in during a economic catastrophe. that is not true. the economy was starting to boom under trump in last six months. we had solid growth. the vaccine coming out. they screwed it up, if they had done nothing i think economy

>> he has no plans to meet with the crown prince at the g20 summit and he is focused, however, on making sure that through every engagement that he has across the board he is looking out for not just the u.s. but for our allies as well. elizabeth: if he is looking out for the u.s. as saudi arabia has said, how can we have not, we've hardly built any refineries inside of the u.s. since 1977. we had one come online recently in texas. >> he should be engaging with american energy producers. he said that he wants to respond to saudi arabia for their production cut and the way to respond is take action here at home. it is to approve keystone xl, have more lease sales on federal lands. process those permits faster. to ease restrictions to build refineries faster. the way we combat opec plus, the way we combat russia and their manipulation of energy markets to increase supplies here at home. we're the world's largest oil

and gas producer. we have an abundance of resources here at home. we need to leverage that for america's economic benefit but america's geopolitical benefit. elizabeth: by the way the saudi defense minister, really, we're aligning with iran, also a member of opec? iran is accused of killing 233 in human rights protests including killing 23 children. this more and more the white house position seems tenuous. and by the way to your point, oil pros say there is enough, enough recoverable oil in the continental u.s. to supply current and projected demand for hundreds of years. that is just the oil we know about. it doesn't account even for future discoveries what these projections say. we do not need to import foreign oil period. that is what energy pros say. whoo do you think? >> that is exactly right and we can produce and supply all sorts of resources here. we can do so in the most environmentally conscious manner. the more we export these

they will come back tomorrow morning at 9:30. now the judge in the case, anthony trenga dismissed one of the five charges over a technicality last friday. right now igor danchenko faces four counts of lying to the fbi. danchenko is the man the government says was that primary subsource for christopher steele who created that dossier aimed at destroying then candidate donald trump. durham alleged danchenko lied to an fbi agent four times when he claimed he received call from unidentified male from a russian sergey milina who had connection to republican politics. he never received a call. cell phone logs show no phone call came from danchenko phones. you can't prove the call didn't come from app, signal, another encrypted device. special agent, a government witness the man whom danchenko allegedly lied to actually

voluminous evidence of potential criminal conduct. what is this about? >> they have to have evidence. all the evidence points to criminal activity with hunter biden of the question why didn't the fbi do something about this sooner? this has been going on for nearly a decade. everyone in the intelligence community knows that the biden family has been influence peddling and this should be a concern not only because it is illegal but also because it could compromise joe biden and countries they're influence peddling with are the worst adversaries, china, ukraine, russia, the middle east. these are not countries the average person does business with. i support what senator grassley is doing. i plan on working with senator grassley if the republicans become the majority party in january. elizabeth: he is saying to the fbi you have to release the documents. what is criminality? money laundering, woulding with countries under potential u.s. sanctions. >> dealing with countries with sanctions, excessive cash deposits.

he was not paying taxes. he was in trouble with the irs. we know this for sure. the list goes on and on. potentially was doing business with a firm that may have been involved in human trafficking with some of his purchasing of prostitutes and things like that. this is a bad guy that has been involved in lots of different activity. we're not even talking about the artwork he supposedly sold to china. elizabeth: senator grassley is saying that the fbi whistle-blowers, telling then vice president biden knew about what hunter was doing, may have been involved in some of the deals. that hunter, we've seen evidence of, you know, hunter biden complaining that he was paying for his father's living expenses and more and things that, house expenses. >> absolutely. there is correspondence that shows that hunter biden says he has to keep his dad up. two whistle-blowers have told staff on the oversight committee that hunter biden was paying for basically expenses for joe biden. that is why the bank records are so important. that is why the bank violations are so important. that is where our investigation

is going with the oversight committee. we want to focus on the bank records because at the end of the day. it is not about hunter biden but joe biden. elizabeth: impact on national security. >> impact on national security. hunter biden is a shady character. that has been proven. the problem we have has his shady business dealings impacted the president of the united states? we are concerned that they have. elizabeth: you know, here is the other thing. we have reports coming in that russian oligarch, a billionaire elena, invested $40 million in one of hunter's companies to do, hunter was helping her do investment in office real estate in oklahoma, alabama, new mexico, texas and colorado. so cefc, chinese energy deals with u.s. natural gas in five states selling china. and now this, this it is real estate too with russia. >> think about this with that russian oligarch she didn't get a sanction. when joe biden, when russia invaded ukraine joe biden put sanctions on russia and all the
