liz: joining us wall street journal senior writer james grimaldi. it's good to see you and have you on the show. iyou guys are really doing terrific journalism, talk to us about what you guys found dozens of top government officials tens of thousands of stock trade since 2016 you guys are calling this fast trading you only see on wall street, what are you finding. >> it's pretty amazing the previous segment that you've done on this and thank you for that, we looked at 12000 federal officials senior executives in the government and appointees and what we did in this story was his to sort through and find out who had a lot of trades and we found 7000 federal officials who had 500 trades over a period of just a few years a lot of them concentrated during the pandemic and other times and of those dozen they counted for 80000 total trades.
6:50 pm
it was really sort of amazing. it is the kind of high speed and frequent trading that you might see on wall street. someone did say they had financial advisories doing it but they're still responsible for these trades and some critics have said the really racist question in the public line about whether there really investing in their own interest or if the taken advantage of any knowledge they might have in terms of whether seen in the government official positions. liz: who were they and what agencies were they at. >> there were a variety of agencies that we found them we had someone who is the chief procurement officer for the irs who had 1500 trades we had someone from the usda that had more than 2000 trades, we had a trust official at the justice department who had several thousand trades but the big, big trader of them all was an economist with the commodity futures trading commission and it turned out will be asked
6:51 pm
about it was her husband who at the time worked for the fdic the regulator of the banks, 9500 trades all in 2020. when we look deeper we saw he was violating a rule that she was supposed to abide by that was no short trading. when we asked the cftc why did you let this happen they said it came to us and they said is it okay we don't really regulate short trading, is it okay if we short trade and they decide they might see was if we don't let them engage in the short trading so they went ahead and did short trading about of a third of the short trading. liz: that's aggressive trading, the making companies that benefited from pandemic bailout spending. were showing on the screen stolen pandemic jobless benefits to, this is governmentwide corruption. it feels like a story is staring you in the face and it's just there all the time, the whole time, your final word.

6:57 pm
doctor? >> at least a year going on two years now, i respected what is doing right now he's coming forth and putting out a public apology saying i was wrong i was listening without having critical thinking. i just wish the cdc, the fda in the white house can do the same thing. >> we fire the unvaccinated first responders. we fired nurses and cops who fought so hard to help out in the pandemic. everything that's going on in this economy that's gone wrong is from the pandemic bad decisions, the shutdowns that were botched "coast to coast", the 5 trillion in spending, all of it sends back to the bad mistakes made during the pandemic doctor. >> it certainly did and i tell you a lot of those first responders, doctors, nurses and everyone who was laid off or coerced into the vaccine and booster mandates. drilled into our mindsets with healthcare and informed consent,
6:58 pm
they took away informed consent in the patient and the doctor coming to a mutually agreeable plan what is the best foot forward for them in these bad policies, there should be legal liability, legal action and fortunately they do cite in the cdc said this of the white house said this and they keep playing the blame game and they need to be held culpable. i hear your point about tim robbins, all the bullies out there who were so intolerant, couldn't even hear the other side in the concerns, they all need to stand up and say they're sorry and never speak out like that again, don't do it again. what we saw go one people being bullied, the army national guard special forces soldier is speaking out against what's

going on with the pentagon vaccine mandate, listen to this. >> we have forces that your combat readiness is dwindling even with me if i stay in the military and my other special operators, i have eight guys that got pulled off of deployment are supposed to be deploying next month that is over half of a small team that would actually deploy on a special mission that they now cannot deploy over a virus with a 99.8% survivability rate against. and we are just waiting we can go to any training to further our skills or keep the tools in the toolbox chart just because we don't have these vaccines. liz: you hear that doctor, he's talking about trip readiness doctor, i think what you're about to talk about, there is serious side effects, myocarditis. card ideas, other issues with the vaccine that factors into conform content that you were just talking about. god help me if you brought it up
7:00 pm
you be bullied into silence, your word on this. i tell you there are side effects of the vaccines and the majority of people, the benefit of the vaccine would outweigh any risk, that is a discussion to be made between the patient and the doctor, not for anyone else to say what they need to do and suddenly people should not be discredited against or excluded because they choose not to get the vaccine, especially vaccine that has no proven benefit in the terms of decreasing transmission and a limited benefit at this point with omicron variant. we know that the vaccine, the old boosters have virtually no protection against omicron variant over 20 weeks of administration. it's about risk and benefit. liz: this show has been saying yes to vaccines, to your point it is about informed consent, doctor saphier, thank you so much, thank you for watching we hope you have a good weekend and join us again monday night. >> from this talk studio in new york chi
