inflation again there's a different point i want to make here. let's listen to this one. >> its way to take time to implement our entire economic agenda which we already past. for folks to feel in their day-to-day lives but i think folks are going to see in the next few months. jackie': congressman he's been saying this for months and months now. and we've heard from the federal reserve at first that inflation was transitory and it was going to go away, noah it's embedded in the economy and interest rates are going up. it's really difficult to listen to the white house and the administration with their messaging on this when you're going to the grocery store and seeing food prices and food inflation right at your kitchen table, eggs are up 42%, but it is up 33% those are some of the big ones, flour 25%, milk 14.5% we are talking about basic kitchen table items, were not seen a decline in prices right now and he says it's coming, it's coming i promise but where

jackie': critical midterm races still have not been called including the senate and gubernatorial races in arizona, kelli o'grady live at maricopa county tabulation election center in phoenix with more. any sense on when we will have answers? >> i just stepped out at the maricopa county we are learning we're going to have release of those ballots roughly 80000 tonight at 10:00 p.m. eastern this is big we will get the

first look at what the early day of drop-offs look like, that's important because both races are going to hinge on whether those look like the 2018 or 2020 split. there was an unprecedented amount of those 290,000 day drop-offs on maricopa alone partially because the gop candidates heavily encouraged to vote or drop off in person last night maricopa drop of 78000 widened the margin between them, it in cabinet mark kelly and blake masters. masters over 115,000 votes behind in that senate race he would have to take this date of batch by a significant advantage to win. the governors race a lot tighter 27000 but separating the two the incoming day of early votes could be really impactful. we is rigidly expected to have 99% done today but now we won't have those fully counted until next week. tonight is key when i have all the answers but we're going to have a sense of where things are trending especially in the senate race, back to you.

ballots are here to stay, lots of states use them and states have to learn how to adapt to them and at times i believe the officials in maricopa were a little apologetic saying we don't make the rules that the legislature but other times they have been proud of their slowness and actually should be an advertisement. >> it is so interesting coming into the selection a lot of states expanding early voting in person expanding the timeframe for which you can submit your mail-in ballot and you had the only democrat leaders but also some of the pundits on the other cable news channels talking about the fact that they were really concerned about voter suppression. >> obviously just a huge boost to turnout this midterm year it was externally amount of voter interest in this, remember in

thoughts on how that will go that sort of feels of replay, the candidates are different and the players are different, what do you think? >> in arizona the blake masters people still think they have a pack but it does not look good mark kelly is good to keep his democratic seat in arizona. and nevada is so, so close. if catherine cortez masto keeps her seat then it's all over, democrats win the senate, doesn't matter what happens georgia if adam laxalt stays ahead then it's good to go to georgia, one big difference in the race between herschel walker and raphael warnock is a libertarian in the general election, 2.1% of the vote, is not going to be there. republicans a lot of times feel that the libertarian votes and up going to republicans, we

new york so dangerous and it's frustrating the members of nypd and are leaving in droves. >> it is difficult because they feel essentially like they have handcuffs, the hands have been tied behind their backs but having said that i'm glad you brought up the shootings and the crime in new york city because congresswoman ocasio-cortez had this to say. >> a lot of people think that crime is up when we actually see shootings are down, when we see the huge indicator on the most violent crime in new york city is down. >> subway crime is up but let's also note subway crime is up after they committed so many more officers to the subway system so that tells us from a policy perspective adding more cops to the subway is not solving this problem so there are other things that can solve this problem. >> adding more cops is not solving the problem because

veterans themselves and those who are on active duty what has this meant to them? >> are very appreciative, you were talking about the female focus body armors, women in the military have been wearing men's body armor for so long and it causes and affects their mobility, it affects their safety, it is not comfortable so we work with the u.s. air force for quite a long time and developed a solution that is extremely light as well as a better formfitting solution and you have to understand soldiers carry a lot of weight in if there body armor is heavy and doesn't fit well it's going to cause injury and those injuries follow after you transition out. we are really focused on continuously developing battery under better body armor and better solutions. >> is so interesting these are the things that we don't think about when people are serving the injuries that occur we just

think about them on the front lines and obviously they provide wonderful great service but sometimes these injuries when they come back to plague them forever so i'm sure a lot of people are reaping the benefits of this. talk to me about the relationship the company has with the u.s. government as well and how you're getting your clothing into the field. >> we have different divisions as i said we have additional needed division that connects with her end-user directly but we are one of the top dod suppliers for body armor i started this company back in college right after we graduated we got into the ballistic clothing piece that was created senior year of college, we have experience working with the government at this point and what the government is looking for innovative solution, they do turn to us so that is basically how we are connected with the

government. jackie: really quickly, how did you get the idea? >> i had a clothing line freshman year of college in senior year of college at the university of mary washington we had a class project where we had to take a project from american marketed overseas and a professor suggested to our group why don't you take one of abbas haider's projects and i didn't want to take clothing to another country wanted to focus on the middle east and at that time there was a war going on and the first thing you think of the middle east bombs, bullets, weapons so i like how about we combine armor and clothing together we did research, nobody in america doing it and we developed a prototype and before we could present your product class we were talking to a three letter agency. jackie: abbas haider innovating with purpose, thank you so much and thank you to all the men and women who serve our country in the veterans as well. >> thank you for having me. jackie: president biden's board

>> thank you for having me on tina who really needs to go as secretary alejandro mayorkas. >> this is somebody that testified in front of the homeland security committee in the house and said the border was secure then he was caught on a hot mic just thereafter saying the border is chaos, which is it then he knew the e-mail showed that the migrants that haitian migrants were not being whipped by border agents on horseback. he went without false narrative anyway, it's very telling on the oversight committee were to have a parking space for alejandro mayorkas because it's going to be testifying so often in front of a committee to get to the bottom of why we have a crisis on our border. jackie: this is a problem that president trump had under control, is by design that this administration essentially turning a blind eye to what's happening at the border because it has no problem with what's
