analyst, bret velicovich. always great to see i, start with missile incident first. now you know, we have two sides looking at this differently. initial report indicated it was a russian missile. then the dialogue changed if that were true particular trigger article 5 we could be on precipice of world war iii. zelenskyy doesn't seem to be on the same page as everyone else. why do you think that is? >> i think president zelenskyy made a rare but strategic mistake in jumping the gun on what really occurred. but he is not listening to his allies and still sticking to his theories, poland and nato gave him an easy way out, head of nato said it was not ukraine's fault. no missile would have struck poland had russia not unleashed a barrage.

he is contradicting the u.s. administration at a time we needs u.s. the most. more weapons are needed and russia is run of retreating, this is a scram streis -- strategic win for russia so far. zelenskyy's denial feed it when it clears every it was a ukraine missile. jackie: you have spent a lot of time on the ground there. you can tell us, the longer this goes, it takes a tremendous toll on the ukrainians to fight this war. they are very invested in it, nobody planned for it to go this long. and now we're heading to coldest months of the year, winter months. energy issues will be a problem. theres has been so much ground destruction. where do we go?

some people suggested there has to be some sort of dialogue that brings both sides to a middle ground. >> i think at a some point there has to be dialogue, both sides are not ready to have a diplomatic solution. ukraine will get worse, every time i'm in there, it is their energy infrastructure is being attacked and winter is coming. they are striking at heart of energy infrastructure of day, 45% of their energy had been taken out last i was in there, right now in kyiv, it is a blackout. each new attack with the damage. i think it is at point we need to step up our aid without a doubt and provide them with antiaircraft and antidefense systems and biden needs to use this as leverage put pressure on nato to provide o more

support. jackie: quickly, i want ask. if we continue to be providing aid to allow this to go on, i'm concerned about point made by christopher wray watching china over here and this going olet'sl o-- realizing how stretched u.s. is, president xi jinping would be emboldened and say now is time for taiwan thing. >> you are right, china is more p provocative by the day, they, eclipsing the u.s. with china the stakes are so my, americans need to be concerned about spreadings of chinese influence, listen to businessmen, chinese threat is world. they are controlling always pecall aspects of our society. jackie: thank you so much we'll have you back on. >> thank you. jackie: thank you for
