ashley: good morning. what a festive picture. this 10:00 eastern as you look at manhattan. stuart varney. let's get straight to your money. let's look at the markets, modestly higher, the dow and s&p up one third of 1%, nasdaq up 71 building on yesterday's again where the exchanges were above for the day, look at the 10 year treasury, above the 3.7 area, 3.73, down 2. 9 basis points, way below the 2 year yield, that inversion suggests a recession, the biggest gap we've seen between those two yields in 22 years, quite remarkable, down $3.34,

10:03 am
great to see you. you argue that this will help trump be the gop nominee in 2024 and this is what the democrats want, right? >> i think it is what the democrats want, they expect resident biden to run and i believe the only candidate they feel biden can beat his donald trump. why would a special prosecutor bring that possibility forward? because trump loves to play the victim card and a lot of americans including myself feel he has been unfairly treated not just by the media but by his democrat opponents, by law enforcement, the department of justice. everybody seems to gang up on donald trump and here again we have a reminder of that, the whole world is out to get him.
10:04 am
what i call always trumpers, people who support him no matter what, this is another sign the world is arrayed against him meaning they need to support him. that will rev people up in the primaries and drive them to vote for donald trump. ashley: democrats used that in the midterms, they tried to promote those candidates on the gop side who were trumpers through and through on the theory they could be beaten in the general and to a large extent they were approved right, this is another example of that. >> they promoted candidates bulldog in new hampshire running against the democrat incumbent senator who is eminently beatable knowing he would not appeal to a broad swath of independents and moderate republicans. it works in a small situation,
10:05 am
not small for the american people, small election like the new hampshire senatorial race, why wouldn't it work in the broader election. they are very much hoping trump will be the candidate, trump versus biden rematch, anybody's guess how that turns out, the polls slightly favor president biden but with the older, not terribly successful president running against someone like ron desantis, republican governor of florida, they worry about that. ashley: we will have to leave it there, great stuff, enjoyed the op-ed and interesting to see how it plays out but happy thanksgiving to you. liz peake. all right, thank you. let's move on to the story, doctor anthony fauci being deposed today. is this the lawsuit that accuses him of collusion with
