nothing more has come through. elon musk tweeted that with popcorn emojis. that's all i have for you right now. i wish i could provide you more but those three tweets are all we have so far. jackie: he's really dragging it out. >> he is. jackie: thank you. we know when there's more details you will bring them to us. i would get back to the new york post john levin to comment on what you know, so far what is saying he's stringing this along and definitely building it up. what do you think is taking so long. >> i'm just following on my phone with the rest of you. i kind of think, it's a little prosaic because a little pr and marketing happening. i don't really believe there was a fact check. i think elon probably had the stone up for a while and what were seen as a deliberate rollout even to not put it out himself but for matt to heb to leak it out, a journalist and for him took tweet that.
6:48 pm
it all seems very designed for maximum height which is fine as long as we get the documents at the end of the day i see what you're saying about the theatrical aspect. it feels like a show and he sprinted it with the twitter files but what do you think he is going to tell us when it comes to the executives in charge making decisions that they had to know that would impact a u.s. election? >> we have to know who is actually making the decisions, we have to know the reasoning behind his decisions and we have to know what pressure was being exerted on twitter to make these decisions and where the pressure was coming from. jackie: if it was jack dorsey, he's gone and now elon has taken over and he'll say i'm going to save the day going forward but to your earlier point in a block when we were talking about this what if we do find there was a government influence or request from the government that certain

moves be made. >> house republicans are doing a wide range of probes and hunter biden is the marquis investigation at the house oversight committee will be looking at. i would not be surprised what we see tonight could result in people and elon musk and former twitter executives coming before congress to answer questions based on information we see tonight or whenever elon musk chooses to release it. jackie: why do you think he waits for friday nights for these announcements. it's not the first time it's strange to me i think it's not when you would get the maximum audience actually. >> is very bizarre. as you know you're in the industry is the worst time to release news. everyone wants to go home and have a nice weekend and go out. nobody wants to be on twitter on friday night. it's a terrible place to be. but here we are, i don't know. jackie: a larger question, he paid 44 billion for the company. i think he knows he overpaid and
6:50 pm
many people have criticized him for the deal he made, he may be trying to back out of it or whatever but having said that, do you think this is what it was about, does he really want to transform the company long-term. i think he believes in free speech and we know that but do you think it was getting some of this information? >> i think first and foremost he wants to make money he took twitter private and east doing things like the 8-dollar verification rollout and trimming staff to create a profitable company. that's the goal of any businessman like musk. as the richest guy in the world he has a history of doing it. but i do think that buying twitter spoke to a lot of his core beliefs about free expression and free speech. genuinely he was very curious. it's a private company now but it is our public square and he asked ceo is the guardian of our public square and he felt strong moral and ideological reasons for wanting to own and preserve free expression in the platform which had been preserved.
6:51 pm
i think a lot of what you said is accurate. jackie: john levin thank you for standing by and refreshing your feet as callie has been to. when we have more we will come back to it. good to see you. the files are out we are monitoring not. elon musk's twitter feed for more information. as soon we have more we will bring it.op le♪ y mutual customizes your car insurance so you only pay for what you need! jackie: welcome back. more details on twitter read let's get straight to kelly o'grady live in los angeles. >> as we've all been refreshing a number of tweets have come out from that to heb that is who is releasing all the information and the bombshell news that just came out i apologize i'm reading for my phone screenshot from saturday october 24 and 2020. this would be days before the election and they are saying request would come in connected actors to delete tweets. there is a number of tweets in the screenshot that the biden team had sent to twitter that we want things reviewed in the reply would come back handle.
6:56 pm
what we are learning and we will learn more as more of this comes out but the biden team was sending tweets that they wanted reviewed to to enter and actors inside of the company were handling them. pretty bombshell news this far. jackie: yes it is. kelly o'grady. joining me now pat fallon on the house oversight and reform committee. it's great to have you here tonight. i do want to talk about china and tiktok but we have to react to the news for a moment. what do you think about the biden team taking screenshots of tweets and sending it to twitter management saying investigate this look into this. >> it is chilling it's literally putting your thumb on the scale was an honest and fair election cycle when twitter is supposed to be a public square platform neutral and clearly they wer weren't. jackie: is really interesting, we are all waiting for the details of his going to release them of who it was that was orchestrating this within the organization and acquiescing with these kind of demands. it'll be really interesting to see and how this is related to
6:57 pm
the hunter biden laptop story. his piecemeal releasing these tweets. let's get to china tiktok story as well. this is a conversation that is hot right now. these reports of the chinese government basically was using tiktok to bash republicans, kind of related in some ways when it comes to the twitter censorship stories because of platforms and i were talking about a foreign government getting involved in influencing the narrative in this country. >> it is frightening, i think the chinese communist government fears the republican party far more than democrats. look what president trump did in four years he stood up to china the first u.s. president to do so in decades if not ever in joe biden is just putting his head in the sand. tiktok is being used as a propaganda tool to indoctrinate our youth and by the way look at the terms of service, they have access to the files, data, context even keystroke patterns that could potentially compromise your username and passwords.
6:58 pm
i don't use and i would encourage every american parent to get their kids using something else but not tiktok. jackie: we don't know what they will do, they have it there sitting on it and not necessarily knowing where or how this will play out. even democrat senator mark warner said that trump was right about trying to ban tiktok. >> trump was right about a lot of things after is out of office pre-president trump audit ban tiktok, senator warner said he was right now we have brian carr from the fcc who also said we should probably be on it and we should call on i have in our office apple and google to remove them from the platforms. jackie: have two minutes left, get a broadened up the conversation because john levin from the new york post is still with us we've been talking to him about the twitter story. i would get your impression from the news that kelly broke from us saying the biden team was taking screenshots of tweets and telling twitter to look into the tweets. >> that's everything. this is what we've all suspected
6:59 pm
for such a long time. this is right around with the hunter biden story was released and we see the very least active collusion between twitter which censored the information the biden campaign. i want to know who biden team is. i want another point person who are they communing with, because that person needs to be part of the broader investigation. jackie: i'm sure he will shed more light and expose people deeper, it seems like it but not a piece at a time but what is so interesting to me when it comes to the way twitter was operational before and the way it was being run in suppressing the speech of republicans, every democrat was fine with her. but now they're up in arms with elon musk who is insane i'm going to suppress democrat speech, he sustained a benefit the republicans back of the platform and let them have the opportunity. >> to be fair in dissent. >> that the best $44 billion i've ever seen spent is elon
