just want to focus on security, but also deal with for example daca or millions who are here illegal let's right now. short of just going ahead and granting them all citizenship, there is internal struggle there but i think there is more of a consensus to get border security on the republican side than the democrat, and republicans are not going to want to come to a compromise on that i think, you can't compromise on national security. kennedy: well, if you don't see it as a national security issue, you don't have the same urgency. my problem, is, richard, i don't have a problem with immigration, it better for individuals to be able to choose their own fate, but the problem s i don't think that citizenship is a magic solution to any of this. there are so many things that have to happen before we grant this mass an

amnesty. if you don't fix what is wrong structurally with our immigration system. that acts as a further chaotic magnet. >> i think that is right. i agree with jason on some of this, that is rare. i think there has to be a solution, it is in u.s. congress. solutions multifaceted. we have to do something around border security. i think we have to figure out who how we deal with 11 million folks living here and stem the tide of those crossing the border, part of that requires us holding corporation accountable when they hire folks who are undocumented. what trump was in office, democrat put on floor we would fund border security and put in e-verify, if you are a company and you want to hire someone you have to go through e-verify system. they balked at that, it would say if you are a

corporation be responsible. so there goes to jason's point some of the in the inconsistencey on the chamber side. let's modernize immigration system and increase amount of judges we have in immigration court, use internet, these laws were written in early 80s, before i was born. we live in 2023. let's figure out a way to deal with stem the tides of those crossing the border and dealing with daca and those who are here in the shadows, bringing them out of shadows and working on making sure if you want to apply for asylum, you can do it on your phone, and get an adjudication from a judge, i don't know maybe via face time or a secure zoom-type

for workers to come legally and fig the open positions. -- fill those open positions, what is congress' job? to make sure that immigration happened legally to reduce violations of the law and reduce chaos we're seeing at the border, to do that, we have a blueprint, we saw how the administration on its own cured the problem of ukrainians showing up at the border, in the spring, tens of thousands showed up. at the border. and what did administration do? it responded by creating a legal migration program for ukrainians to immigrate to the united states legally with u.s. sponsor, they become over and guess what, the problem of ukrainians coming to the b the border disappeared, 99.9% of ukranians fleeing you know severe crisis in their country, everyone agrees, is
