thankfully congress instituted today, yesterday, these new select committees will investigate this type of thing, investigate the things going on in the fbi. they knew about this days before the midterm, nine days before the midterm election and did nothing to tell the american people about it. that goes to show you how politicized the fbi and the doj have been. that is exactly what republicans will bring forth, bring into the light for the american people as soon as that select committee gets appointed and we move forward with business in america. elizabeth: time frame for the documents, they were starting to set up, biden family was starting to set up business deals overseas to make money off president biden's government job. talking ukraine. there is this, china donated at least $67 million to upenn which the think tank was connected to. that is when upenn, vice president biden started talking up u.s. china relations. >> yeah. that is what is so important to get all the answers for the american people because we know biden is compromised and which

we have politicized doj that wants to raid president trump's home and go through all of their belongings for things the president has the ability to declassify and here you have a vice president with sci compartmentalized information in a place he can't have it and this doj is sitting silent and slow-walked the information to the american people, so they didn't get information before the midterms to directly affect the out comes of midterm elections. elizabeth: they knew about it for months, right? >> absolutely. elizabeth: we're still waiting for the doj to come out with findings in probe of hunter biden for his alleged money laundering and tax evasion. listen to the president talk about trump and mar-a-lago here. watch this. president biden: how that could possibly happen, how anyone can be that irresponsible. and i thought what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods? by that i mean names of people that helped, et cetera. and just totally irresponsible.

that the house gop plans to move on a vote that, for a bill that would get rid of the irs, wipe out the income tax, and replace it with a consumption tax. we've got fox news aishah hasnie. she has more on the story in washington. >> reporter: elizabeth, good evening to you. house republicans are setting the tone for this new congress and it looks like there are some big battles ahead. first, house republicans are launching two new investigatory committees to begin oversight and democrats not happy about at least one, the one that is looking into the weaponization of government agencies. also there has been outrage over the bills republicans are rolling out aimed at spending. last night republicans passed the family and small business tact payer protection act. this is the irs bill which aims to rescind $71 billion that democrats sent to the irs to hire 87,000 new employees. senate democrats say they will block the bill, pointing to a

congressman claudia tenney. a pleasure having you on congresswoman. what do you make of this report. i mean house gop is moving on a bill to get rid of the irs, to do a consumption tax, is that even doable? >> probably not in this congress as long as the senate continues to fight us but i think we have to come out with bold measures right away and make them work with us and we can maybe find some middle ground. if we don't come out bold, we'll not get anything. it is kind of the art of negotiation at this point. i like ideas. look what is happening. we have a country with out of control spending, we have high taxes, which contributes to low growth, lack of prosperity. that is what we need. we need growth. we need prosperity. we need people to get back to work. we need businesses to benefit. we're looking at a pro-growth strategy. we have to start doing things differently because we've been going down the same path for how many decades. now it is time to rein in spending. we spent $1.7 trillion loaded

with projects not really helpful to the american people. they were pet projects from some senators, some on our side. some community projects are very good had a net zero effect on the budget but some we could have done away with. focus on things we need to have to keep the economy going and eliminate things we really don't need that look like they're handouts for pet projects for politicians retiring. >> monuments to me, like federal buildings named after nancy pelosi. the point is well-taken. average gdp growth is 3 1/2% post-world war ii. then it tanked 2% under the obama era going forward. there is a bill to stop new funding for the irs. unclear whether the senate will take that up. new push fork tax hikes are only approved by 60% majority vote. you introduced legislation last fall, redirect new irs funding to the border. the thing is, house gop can't afford to lose five gop votes or

nothing gets done. >> of course as i said, we're showing that we can actually get the votes. we have gotten votes since leader mccarthy was elected speaker. we have to stick together. we'll have people that are going to be not voting with us 100% of time. as you say our margins are narrow. look at irs, chuck schumer is melting down and going crazy, this is the same guy that wants full restoration for state and local tax deduction, which is loophole for wealthy people. that doesn't help small businesses and average low income taxpayer. cbo, congressional budget office actually confirmed when the irs is bulged up, we have the huge bureaucracy, remember they wanted guns for a while there. they wanted to be weaponized to that extent. democrats are typically against guns. when you look at 700,000 increasing audits all to people who make $75,000 in income or less, not the so-called 400,000 and up which the democrats claim is going to happen. look, i was a tax lawyer.

i helped out a lot of people, lower income, middle income, large corporations, people who could afford to come to me with tax issues were big income earners and big corporations, not these smaller businesses that are really on low margins. elizabeth: looks like the cbo estimates that democrats penciled in raising $20 billion for audits for those under 400,000. watch last night, late friday night, not one democrat clapped when kevin mccarthy announced the first thing the gop will do is stop new irs funding. every house democrat voted to keep irs funding and audits and harrassment of average americans intact. watch this. >> our very first bill will repeal the funding for 87,000 new irs agents. [cheers and applause] >> you know even former democrat irs commissioner john koskinen said $80 billion was too much money over a decade. that 25 billion was enough.

they can give the cdc opinion and guidance. to try to manipulate the media, social media companies is obviously an overstep. so i'm glad to see that the focus of these concerns is shifting from the social media companies themselves to the government pressure behind a lot of those decisions. you know i think that is where we learn a lot about what was really going on these days. if you read the twitter files, you see the social media companies are awfully resistant to complying with these requests initially. there has to be some reason, some pressure being applied that makes them go along with it. you see them in the back and forth. that is a problem. that should be a problem for republicans, democrats, everyone. the control shifts, the other guy is in charge next month. you don't want him to have influence either. there needs to be a bright line. elizabeth: so to what jess is saying ford, what is talked about in government trickles down to censorship in social media. dr. fauci earlier on in january of 2020 was sending a article by
