the beatles. it's wednesday, march 22. here we go. on the market this is morning, a totally mixed -- well, there's hardly any price movement and ten times in the last two hours and very little movement. don't expect much till we get the fed's decision on interest rates and show me the 10-year treasury. start with that. the yield is at 3.59%. way above where it was ten days ago. well above 3.5% and big banks this morning they could be affected by the interest rate decision and barely moving. two of them are up, three are down. not much movement. that's the markets in advance of the fed. now this. confused by a i? me too . i'm not good with technology but i'm told by everyone on the program it's really the next big thing. is it? i suggest reading tom friedman's

column in the new york times saying ai is "our new promete indian moment. prometeous was the titan god of creation. he asked the former head of research at microsoft what gpt4 could do. asked for a 400 word summary of a museum. that's random. i got that. but gpt4 did it perfectly in seconds. then he asked for 200 words on the same subject. again, perfect in seconds. then put it into arabic, done. mandarin, done. then shakespeareen sonnet form. done. then begin the first line with a, second line with b through the alphabet, done. it was with creativity. gpt4 wasn't just regurgitating

thank you very much, martha. great stuff. we'll be watching you at 3:00 this afternoon and the story with martha maccallum only on fox news. back to the markets, mark tepper is with us for the entire hour. okay. obvious question, if the fed raises interest rates by 25 basis points this afternoon as expected, what's the market do? >> so -- stuart: do you have animals for this? >> yes. the interesting thing is when you look at the market from investor optimism standpoint, this is like the most bullish bear market ever. it just seems like investors continue to see every news headline that comes out through rose colored glasses. if the fed hikes by 25-basis points as expected, the other thing they'll do is reaffirm their confidence in our banking system, which should put some investors concerns at ease. but really the most important part of the meeting is this is a

quarterly dot plot meeting and not just about 25 basis points now and how high are we going as far as rates go and that'll come in more hawkish than investors are pricing in now and that could cause a bit of investor indigestion. stuart: we'll have to listen to every word he says in his press conference, and then the algorithms in the computers will interpret that. then it'll settle down and by 4:00 we'll know what the outcome .s is there a billout coming? >> i hope not. i love capitalism and if you want to have winners in capitalism, unfortunately there has to be losers as well. nobody wants to lose, but you can't have unlimited upside potential without unlimited downside loss; right. we can't continue to reward companies that have done the wrong thing, that haven't been

prudent with regards to managing risk so i hope there's no further bailouts coming. stuart: all right. let's see. stay with me for the hour. back to the markets. we have lauren looking at the movers. carvana, they still around? lauren: they're around and they've gotten crushed but not today, they're up 18%. two things, they're cost cutting, job cuts and paying off, all though still forecasting a loss, and now restructuring about $9 billion of debt offering creditors an option to go up. lauren: people defaulting on auto loans. stuart: did you get that on ai, bband-aid with a gushing wound?

what's on first republic, troubled regional bank? lauren: down 86% this month and up today by 1%, it's been very volatile. they're exploring their options. they need to raise capital but who's going to give them money in addition to the $30 billion or seek government backing and major attempts to shore up the len dorman and reassure -- lender and reassure the public that the banking system is safe and sound. stuart: not going for a full scale lehman brothers bailout, not like that? >> i don't think so. i think it's contained. stuart: all right, sofi. lauren: they'll let new members and existing members choose to increase fdic insurance eventually to $2 million for their checking accounts and savings accounts and standard is $250,000. the sofi fdic insurance network and newly created and other banks are involved and that's what sofi is doing and that would be attractive to a lot of

miami. you're in miami beach but you're real close by. do you think your image has taken a hit? >> is it guilty by association, stuart? stuart: yes. >> yeah, so i think what happens is there's a confusion that people think the mayor of miami also has jurisdiction over miami beach. miami beach is a different city with its own mayor so absolutely. i think whenever something happens in miami beach, unfortunately there's a splash or spillover effect on miami because we share a common first name and so without a doubt, that's why i come on shows like yours to explain i have no jurisdiction over what happened in miami beach. obviously we're concerned on what happens in miami beach, if there's a curfew, the concern is people migrate to the mainland and come to miami and then we're not going to tolerate the kind of lawlessness we've seen in miami beach. one of the reasons why miami has been so successful and last year we had the lowest homicide rate per capita since 1964 is because

programmed and it's not human intervened. we're starting to see a reverse correlation between what's happening in the banking system, what's happening with bad monetary policy and the price of bitcoin. the price of bitcoin is now close to $29,000 and it's been up significantly this year. i took my salary in bitcoin and have been since november of i think 2021. so it's been very good for me, personally. my cost basis, average basis increased and it's up. i don't look at it as a day-to-day price fluctuation and i don't like to look at it like that. we have that conversation a lot. that's a sexy conversation to have. stuart: has the city, miami, has it lost the revenue from miami coin because trading has been suspbeensuspended? >> no, it hasn't. the city's revenue is a function of the mining function.
