thank you all. it's not our fault. congress screwed up. the biden administration today blaming everyone but themselves for the historic crisis at the border. but with only one day until title 42 ends, is the white house prepared to deal with the upcoming flood of illegal migrants? there's a live look at the border. beautiful brownsville, texas, courtesy of our fox flight team drone. great job, guys. thank you, lemmy. tomorrow night at midnight title 42 comes to an end, of course, the covid era rule allowing the u.s. to kick out immigrants based on pandemic health crisis. here's the problem, everybody on the planet knows that it ends tomorrow, and experts say there will be a i'dal wave of newcomers -- tide thal wave of newcomers. but in some ways it has already begun. border patrol agents apprehended more than 10,000 people on monday and tuesday. that's the most ever recorded in a single day.
7:02 pm
good job, record-breakers. border patrol obviously overwhelmed. in fact, the white house recently sent 1500 active duty troops to the border to help, but homeland security chief alejandro mayorkas who claimed last week illegal immigration was down 90%, well, he's still playing the blame game. >> let me be clear, the lifting of the title 42 the public health order is not -- does not mean our border is open. our overall approach so to build lawful pathways for people to come to the united states and to impose tough ther consequences on those -- tougher consequences on hose who choose not to use those pathways. i cannot overemphasize that our current situation is the outcome of congress leaving a broken, outdated immigration system in place for over two decades. kennedy: then why weren't you bitching about that two years ago when democrats had the turkey? it's always somebody else 's fault with this administration, but least they're finally

in cages. now it's t biden's migrant influence collusion -- inclusion resort and spa? kennedy: there's no spa because they're not being held in custody because there's no room for them. i think that's what kind of scares me about this whole thing, leslie, is this safe mass relief lease -- release program. they don't know that it's safe, they just know that it's mass release. you've got people who are being bussed to, you know, grocery store parking lots, sidewalks, open parks. they don't really know where they're going. and, you know, of course you have unaccompanied minors in that fray, but you also have an administration that they don't know what they're doing, they don't know how to vet people, they don't know how to keep track of people, they don't know how to stem the tide. they know how to lie about it. illegal immigration has not dropped by 90%. the pictures and the data show us that. so can you please make sense of this for me? >> yeah, i'll try.
7:06 pm
for almost 30 years whether it was a democrat or are republican in office, this has been a problem. so it's not been two decades, it's been more like three. and one of the problems is whether you're vetting, whether you have more border patrol agents, that all comes down to money. no president concern do donald trump, joe biden, bill clinton, george bush, barack obama concern could just write a check and have border agents en masse to take care of this, nor can they clear up 4-7 years' backlog and put more money to put systems at border. that does come down to congress. we've tried on both sides of the aisle to work together, remember our gang of eight, and it's failed miserably. and one of the reasons for that, both sides continue to use immigration, especially in an election year, general election year, even more so that's coming up to use these people and the system as political pawns. title 422 was never going to be there forever. i think we're very naive or ig e significant to think that service. we had a health crisis, that health crisis is now being lifted on a national level, and we knew that would happen with

title 42. people that were in mexico weren't going to stay there forever, so, you know, for people to think that any president -- and i said this curl trump's presidency as well -- to think any president has a magic wand and make this all better, that is wrong. this is a hugely comprehensive issue. it takes a huge, comprehensive solution, and that is not one administration or one president alone -- kennedy: okay. but i need to move on to robby because we're running out of time. so, robby, to the les' point, she talks about political stunts in big general election years, but in to 2021 is democrats had the house, senate and the presidency, so why didn't they pass something then when they had the numbers? and, you know, you could go back to the gang of eight legislation. i don't think that would have worked because you're not going to do anything comprehensive, but they could have done something. >> absolutely. there's no way of getting around the fact that president biden has failed to fix this problem. alejandro mayorkas has not done anything constructive here.
7:08 pm
it's been just a massive failure of the administration. all that said, i understand the point and it's the correct that congress ultimately needs to do something. we cannot -- it was foolish to continue relying on title 42 because, look, if we believe in the law and order and, you know, conservatives believe in that, libertarians believe in that, this immigration control as a pandemic measure never really made any sense. kennedy: it's not long term. >> we weren't keeping covid from entering the country, it didn't make any sense. we do need congress to make it easier for people to come to the country legally and have border enforcement so we don't have this stream of people in unsafe conditions, it's not good for them either. get immigration under control, solve the labor shortage by r but -- but do it in a way that comports with the law. kennedy: and be honest about need that we have in this country and the capabilities that we have and the support systems that are in place that won't get strained and go from there. i mean, there's very practical things you can do. but this whole thing is such a
