much good to see you joining us now former assistant treasury secretary for public affairs monica crowley, and former trump economic advise or steve moore. monica, your reaction to the cnn town hall last night. let's get through what msnbc media, democrats are furious about trump. he was saying, again, that 2020 election was rigged. he questioned the sex abuse verdict. he said nancy pelosi turned down 10,000 soldiers he offered to stop the capitol riots. you know, for trump fans and voters we've been talking to them. they say they know all about him they want his policies back. >> yeah, you know, liz, president trump delivered a booming economy, a secure border , and world peace. i don't know what more the american people want or expect from an american president, but he delivered on all of the major issues, and in particular, for the forgotten men and women. the people in middle america who have been so squeezed and experienced so much economic

delivered for the american people, and a future vision for what he will do in a second term, drives them absolutely crazy. liz: yeah, so, what monica just said, steve. it's the emotionality of the response, right? you know, women understand what happened with e carol. women get that, right? but it's a big context, a lot of women voters what monica is saying it's a broader context and the polls too, showing widespread dissatisfaction that this biden white house collapsed the economy, record inflation. they gave a lot of money for irs agents, green spending, but not enough for the border. they kept going with pandemic shutdowns of the entire u.s. , but they won't shutdown what's going on with the border. your reaction to all of that. >> yeah, you know, a lot of the conservatives and donors that i talk to have been saying for the last six months, trump can't win. trump can't win, and i think last night, you know, people watched that and i think monica is right. the reason the left is

5:12 pm
allegation that then-vice president joe biden accepted money for a policy decision. now the fbi did not provide the form to congress, but did tell fox news in a statement, an fd-1023 form is used by fbi agents to record unverified reporting by a confidential human source, documenting the information does not validate it, establish its credibility, or weigh it against other information verified by the fbi. in very plain speak, that means, somebody had an allegation. the fbi took it down on a standard form. may be true, may not be true. the bottom line, congress cannot get to it. the fbi says they aren't going to hand it over because they don't want to ruin their sourc ing methods and they don't quite frankly want to set a precedent. liz? liz: got it david spunt thank you so much. great reporting. joining us now, house oversight chair james comer. chairman, good to see you. this heavy allegation of bribery against then-vice president biden. still no documentary evidence of
5:13 pm
that. what's the proof there's a quid pro quo in bribery? >> well, what the whistleblower is alleging is consistent with the bank records that we produced with activity the biden families been engaged in other countries, so the fbi's response to my subpoena was explain to me what the form actually was, and we know what the form is. we just want to know what they did to verify the validity of the allegation, because this is a essential piece of our investigation of public corruption of the biden administration. liz: but right now it's basically connecting dots. it's no proof yet. so far it's allegations. right? so we understand people are talking about it but the viewers and voters out there want to see what hard proof is there of this bribery to validate this bribery charge. >> well i think a lot of the voters are like me. they are wondering what the biden family did to receive
5:14 pm
over $10 million and have that money deposited into nine different family member's accounts. we have a credible whistleblower that senator grassley has brought forward that alleges a similar scheme in another country and the way that they describe the scheme and how the payments were made was exactly consistent with what we found in romania and the fact is that that allegation was made three years before anyone knew what we disclosed yesterday with respect to the way payments were made in romania, so i think this is a very credible allegation. it's of the utmost importance to our national security to know if the president of the united states is on the take, and the fact that the fbi sent us a patronizing response is pretty discouraging about our confidence in the fbi. liz: okay, there's this. the point is well-taken. if everything is okay and above dashboard, why use shell companies, why not just send the payment directly to hunter biden from these foreign actors? why bury the cash flow?
5:15 pm
why were biden family spouses, children and grandchildren of joe or james biden allegedly getting money from foreign actor s including china. so senator those points are well taken but senator grassley now says the fbi's offer to accommodate the investigation is information enough that it exists and if this charge is real. so but you're also saying there's potential tax evasion and racketeering involved here. why? what's the proof of that? >> well, the definition of racketeering is setting up shell companies for no purpose other than laundering money. that word was used by the bank and different bank violations. multiple banks suspected that the biden family was involved in money laundering so you've got racketeering, you've got money laundering, you've got tax evasion, you've got the potential for hunter biden being an unregistered foreign agent that's something jonathan turley talks about all the time.
5:16 pm
there are lots of potential crimes here by the president's family. if the president's family didn't do that, then one would have to assume joe biden did something in return for that money. liz: all right, so people just want to see the proof. >> i want to see the proof. liz: yeah, now it's like connect ing the dots. these are heavy charges of bribery, so, you know, we're in a historic time. we've never seen a sitting president when he was vice president accused of that. i mean, the "wall street journal" points this out too that e-mails and text messages from hunter biden's former business partner that "hunter demanding more money because china's cefc is coming to be my partner, to be partners with the bidens" and noting that"i'm the only one putting an entire family legacy on the line" and then hunter biden boasted in another e-mail that mr. ye of china would pay him millions of dollars for a "introductions alone" so, you know, those e-mails kind of point to something nefarious and not good
5:17 pm
going on. >> there's a pattern there. we showed fruits of this activity and the fruits were the $10 million deposited in the biden family accounts. we want to know why and we think this whistleblower had evidence that we need for our investigation. liz: okay, chairman comer, thanks for joining us tonight. we've got an ""evening edit"" exclusive coming up. senator joni ernst is going to take on the nih. blatantly reinstating funding for super virus research that was already canceled under trump this is a terrible chaotic oversight of research that there was not enough of it under nih and critics say of nia d, former director dr. fauci, it's being blamed for helping to trigger pandemics worldwide, including covid, and we are less than seven hours before trump's title 42 border policy expires. i'm going to stay on the story and the growing list of democrat s, talking and preaching tolerance but then insulting
