there is demand, builders feeling better. stuart: that's not affecting the overall market. the dow is down 176 points. now this. we used to joke about trump derangement syndrome, for years we truly are treated to the hysterical outbursts of politicians and reporters, so extreme it was occasionally funny. this blind hatred was deep-rooted in government and media and had disastrous consequences for our country. don't be confused, 300 pages of detail but the conclusion is crystal clear. the fbi went after donald trump. they had their thumb on the political scale. andrew mccabe and james comey, they sabotage the trump team and gave hillary clinton a pass. the deep state and this report shows there is such a thing, hated trump with a passion.

prohibits migrants from being released unless they have a court date. the by demonstration wants to release as many as possible under its policy which would release a migrant on the honor policy. the biden administration is arguing in part there is too many migrants to properly process and we are now getting a clearer picture of how many migrants per day at the white house is willing to release without court dates. court documents reportedly revealed dhs released 6000 migrants without a court date last thursday before the judge's ruling blocking that process. white house called its sabotage and said will continue appealing it. here in el paso the city report released 4000 migrants last week alone, the highest number of migrants in a single year by far. as we talked to migrants on the street, some who were showing us their parole or release documents, they have court date as far away as 2,026. i will send it back to you.

neil: appreciate the report. chad wolf is former acting dhs secretary and joins me now. i'm going to start with my opinion if you don't mind, they are here, they are staying at migrants are going to work. where am i wrong? >> that's exactly right. when dhs paroles them into the country they are able to obtain network permit. this isn't asylum. what you are talking about, mass releases, it's a fundamental problem, the facilities along the border are overwhelmed, there's nowhere else to push them so dhs's response, the solution is to mass release them instead of saying let me try to deter the illegal behavior, these folks coming across the border, they are focusing on all their time

and attention on processing these individuals. i was in el paso last week and they are building on the outskirts of el paso one of the largest tent cities i have ever seen. i thought a few as acting secretary processing thousands of migrants so when you invest millions of dollars into these facilities you are anticipating waves and waves of individuals coming into the country, not in the next month but in the next year or two so dhs is gearing up because they see the surge and these individuals coming across the border in record numbers. stuart: we've got people on the border showing up with their court dates. they are years in the future. some in 2027, 3, four, five, six years out there. will they show up and what happens when they don't show up? are we going to deport anybody? >> the data will tell you they won't show up. if they shop in the first court

cord and everyone tightening their belts may be that is something. stuart: advertising dollars moving away from television, going online and been doing it for years. we to being affected by writers strike -- stuart: let's get back to the homebuilder confidence reading. again of 5 points to 50. jim tobin is the incoming ceo of the national association of homebuilders and joins us in new york city. what is the reading of the 50? what is that tell you? >> members are more confident about the future. we are seeing new homes, a bigger portion of the for sale market as more people are stuck in the 3%, 4% existing home sales, not as high. stuart: that's a problem for you. why should i sell my home when i've got a 3.5% mortgage and move into a more expensive home with a 6% mortgage, you've got

less inventory coming on market. >> which means new homes are bigger portion of what homes are on sale for now which means to us we have to figure out how to increase the supply as we do that. we've got to get supply chains under control and continue the problem with transformers, the power units that power new homes. stuart: what is the problem with new power units? >> not using enough in the united states. there's one manufacturer, the guts of transformers in the us, we need a supply from overseas, that's a big issue for our members. second, acquisitions element and construction credit tightened because of the fed's actions and finally something you talked about for a long time, government regulations get in the way of housing. blue one as i understood it, new -- getting bigger.
