executive organizing a bribe. that means the two leading candidates in next year's election are in deep legal trouble and all out there being played out in public. what must foreigners be thinking? i know for a fact some of them are laughing at us and most are anxious about us. i hear this all the time, how come this great country be represented by an indicted felon who may be wearing an ankle bracelet or 80 something with a dubious financial past and uncertain future? you can understand the anxiety. we're supposed to be the defenders of freedom but we put a former president on trial and let the current president hide behind the fbi and justice department. last week i entertained some family members from new zealand and they were staying in a hotel in manhattan. they were shocked. one morning on the sidewalk outside their hotel, there was a man shooting up. next to him, someone was urinating in the street. they were not expecting this. the new york they remember was vibrant and friendly.

stuart: got that right. move on. miami police bracing for crowds maybe up to 50,000. probably a bit of a high number. in the district court today in miami and the judge presiding over the case is a trump appointee. that's causing a meltdown and they want her off the case. is the bench so political now that you should only expect a fair trial if you're on the same side as the political opine tee on the bench? >> i think -- appointee on the bench? >> i think the point and i've looked at aileen cannon's record and one of being a good jurist. she's a trump appointee but any judge, whether democrat or republican, should appoint the law. she was chosen through the natural process, the normal process and she has to recuse herself so the other side calling for a recusal, that doesn't happen.

every other judge and regarding trump and special master and parts of the system and i won't draw bias unless one is inserted by her actions as a jurist. stuart: you live in miami. that's home base to you? >> yes, i do, and i'm glad i'm here over the traffic that's there. stuart: do you think that donald trump can get a fair trial in miami? there's questions on whether he got a fair trial in new york city? >> it was a banana republic trial and miami and based on who they would choose from and the judge, again, the judge drives the case jury is not allowed to go run off unchecked and the jury instructions and the way the judge handles the case and why my case is important is a judge that acts as a jury stood and let the evidence come forward and there's concern about this justice department and should be. the lack of parody and how they investigate how to determine or prosecute the lack of

from here and up about half a percent from today and what you're seeing from big tech and as far as innovation goes and as far as earnings go, in the face of economy that dealt with bank failures and rising interest rates, if we get the fed to pause or stop and we don't deal with any bank failures and we continue to see this innovation out of tech, new highs coming for certain. stuart: the gains are on the back of ai and in seven particular stocks going to ai. >> yes and no. people talk about stocks not taking part in the rally and there's a lot of stocks that are. looking at s&p 500 and largest companies out there and 10% off all time high and this rally, knock it if you want but this rally is real. stuart: no, i'm not knocking it. i'm in it.

stuart: give us a status report and more progress on the ukraine indians making it -- ukrainians making it. >> they've begun their counter offensive and using about 40 to 60,000 and different estimates of fully trained forces with all kinds of equipment. a lot of western equipment that's been given to them as well as a lot of soviet equipment and seeing how the rusrussians respond and doing it with a minute mall amount of effort at the moment and been

able to recapture a few villages and waiting to see how the russians respond before deciding where to make a much bigger effort. in the meantime, russians are not able to advance. stuart: i don't want to gloss over that, meantime russians are not able to advance so they're being pushed back and ukrainians are going forward. how do you see this ending? i mean, not the total ending, but in the next few weeks where is it going. >> the russian forces took the town of bakhmut but exhausted ability to go forward and began preparing defensive lines knowing they couldn't advance and ukraine is trying to get over the defensive lines and if they dorks they could do two important things and one is cut off land line of communication that connects russia to crimea

and get a sway in eastern and southern ukraine and this will cause the russians to realize they're in an untenable position and may be the beginning of a course of conflict. stuart: if they're in an untenable position and putin is being weakened as i think he has, then what's the result of all that? >> well, i think that the result is facing increased pressure at home and in russia to stop the war or people will put pressure on him to remove him. that's one outcome to that. i think the other outcome is the ukrainians will be encouraged and the west will be encouraged and so the degree to which we are continuing to give ukraine the arms it needs will be strong and will continue and russia has to read the writing on the wall and never will achieve their aims in ukraine. stuart: sounds like the ukrainians will win this thing.

whatever winning s they're in the process of it and you agree with that? >> i certainly do. remember, russia defined winning at the beginning as saying they're going to denounce fio ukraine and demilitarize it meaning take over the country and change the government. they annexed four provinces and don't control all of the provinces. ukraine will have a stronger position. stuart: i wish this story had not faded from the headlines as it has in the past few months and mr. ambassador, filling us in on what's happening. we appreciate it. thank you, sir. >> stuart, thank you. stuart: trump administration took u.s. out of unesco, united nation educational and scientific cultural organization.

just over 50% full and that's the highest occupancy rate since june of 2020. mike murphy is with me and is in-office work making a come back? >> it really is. if you own a business, you don't feel comfortable paying a work force to then not come to work like it's the way it's always been. it's the only thing i know is to not have people working from home and telling me what they're doing. it's people coming together and there's chemistry, people feed off what others are doing so, yes, people who own businesses will have people coming into offices. stuart: it's really making a comeback but office space in new york city, only 50% full. that's not much of a comeback. >> off what number? post covid i would say it was 25% occupancy and people require people to come into work and

employers are going to want employers and seeing from mark benifoff. lauren: there was terrible air quality and people came into the sauce still. that's a big deal. stuart: not getting back to the office situation and all these towers and mid time manhattan and all the towers are not 90% full. >> yes, we will. the reason s stuart, may not be the way it was with cubicles and just people walking and going in elevator up and sitting in cubicle 9-5, may be different. the large buildings right now are putting in a lot of amenities, gyms, coffee shops and things to draw people into the office. so it may be a different looking office next year than it was ten years ago, but people are going to -- work will happen and work will happen in office buildings.

oil money from the mideast coming into western sports. saudi arabia buying golf for example. you approve? >> find it hard not to approve, stuart. i understand why people have their issues with it, but this money, this middle eastern oil money has been coming into our markets in a huge way for years now. they're very large holders in almost all of our top corporations in the united states and if you'll let them come 24 and invest in an uber or disney stuart: sovereign wealth funds about $680 billion in the wealth fund. do you know what it is in the norwegian? only four or five million. lauren: 800. stuart: $1.4 trillion. lauren: what team should they buy? stuart: not inviting anybody in

to buy. their star, the forward for man city is from norway and always displays a norwegian flag whenever on the field. anyway, next case, billionaire dallas mavericks owner mark cuban saying it's good business for companies to go woke. how could he say that after the backlash against bud light and target? lauren: he said good ceos understand you just wait it out. wait out the news p cycle and tl all pass. bud light and target are welcoming all people of races, genders, sizes, you name it. the boycotts are overblown. okay, how? he made the argument we don't own individual stocks, we own funds so you can say, okay, target's numbers are down but you can't attribute to a lot of people selling target because people own funds that target is in. stuart: you look like you're itching to say something.

field and get out with a metal detector, scan and find something. >> you could but there's a lot of research. >> we do a lot of research. >> i'm looking at maps late at night and saying this is what this looked like in 1875 and have little dots and where the dots are is where the houses are and now go there and it's the plowed field. stuart: what's the most valuable thing you ever found? >> the most valuable -- >> a meteorite. >> we found a meteorite worth about $60,000. stuart: $60,000? last time you were on the show, you're yep, you told me that you owned, what, 200 stocks and that you'd taken a major position in about 40 big positions in the market. that was a year ago, i think it was. >> that is correct. i run my own portfolio, i don't like fees. stuart: how far up are you? >> almost 30% obstructing ons yo date. date. stuart: what's your biggest

position? >> it was expensive and i tend to layer in and it's amazon. they're not -- they didn't forget how to sell things. stuart: did you buy nvidia stock. stuart: it's worked like that . >> i trimmed a little nvidia. once it got to $400 i thought, okay. stuart: are you a billionaire yet? >> no, but -- stuart: you're close? >> no, no. >> can i borrow some money? >> we're rolling and running with the bulls now, which is my philosophy, i'm a long term investor. stuart: how about you, yep, what do you do? >> i ask him what to do and he tells me. he does all the research. this is my financial guy. stuart: you're in stocks too? >> yep. stuart: no bonds or cash like that? >> i'm less than 1% cash but that's why i'm starting to trim

a little bit. i have some bonds. yeah, i'm not just willy nilly but in you get great companies for the long term, don't listen to all the short term noise. you look up and it's going up into the right. we're all relying on that. stuart: that's your formula? >> that is my form louisiana stuart: get in stocks for the very long term and you'll do okay? >> with money that you do not need so you don't worry about it. stuart: money you don't need. are you going to tell me you don't need -- >> i do not need that money and so if it all -- you got to remember, i came from a family that my parents, we were really poor so i learned the greater values of life, and it's not money. so i think it helps you be a good negotiator and helps you with your attitude. when the stocks are falling, i'm buying. i'm like, look, this is all on sale. stuart: fascinating. you should be a regular on the show and tell us how to make serious money. how do i see the new series? >> how do you see it?
