>> we haven't bought back in however, the last 30 days we've been active reducing defensive positions on rallies so yesterday we raised a little more cash from treasuries when the prices went up. we have treasuries as a holding but we have the past position of high that is spent, ready to buy in certain sectors looking to get into in the near future. stuart: are you getting flack from your customers, your clients? you've been out november of 2021, i think it is great you haven't gotten back in in full and your clients have probably missed a 30% run-up in the big name stocks. what are they telling you? >> our clients, timing matters. everyone talking about the 30% run-up but that's year-to-date. these areas are still down from when we started reducing risk. however role as capital

preservation first and then gross. if it is a start of a new bull market, there's plenty of meat to make money the next several years so clients have been on board risk management strategy and we are clear where we will be fine because there's just a lot of areas that haven't participated in this rally and that's where we will concentrate on because, you will be very active when we die. in three to six months if we get closer to this session. stuart: are not going to start buying again three to six mo months? >> we are going to start buying very soon but if we see the economic data deteriorate accelerating toward the end of the year we are not afraid to pivot out to increase cash so we will look at healthcare and aerospace and defense with think is great. stuart: what the signal to start buying again? >> i think july with earnings and gdp, you will see headwinds

reporting, all the people hunter biden's side are saying this is the end of the story, they want to pop up as jonathan turley referred to a controlled demolition. the fact is that they are no longer in a pending investigation which means all of the different things but i think questions republicans have put forward, very legitimate about the transfers of money going on, different llcs, the network that we know existed that was set up to pass the money around and try to hide it, typically the thing that doesn't just end up with two dis- misdemeanors for not paying enough tax, that's the situation i think they will continue to dig into and it's not out of rally republican base or conspiracy theorizing, advancing the conspiracy theory donald trump would sell classified information to foreign powers with no basis so maybe he should. this is a situation that

deserves inquiry because we know the influence campaign a number of different foreign entities were engaged in was bent on using hunter's connections to affect american policy. we don't know how successful i was and we don't know how much money and the with other people other than hunter biden in ways that could potentially influence the policy. until we have an answer to that straightforward legitimate question, this should not be. stuart: let's turn to the 2024 election and want to focus on gavin newsom. he's close to the president on the california trip but gavin newsom has not yet declared. it occurs to me if he did declare, he'd have to run in the primaries and debate directly opposite joe biden so that's why he's not doing it i guess.

>> one of the things we need to keep in mind is he wants to be gifted, he's standing around waiting to see if there's a major issue that the president has to face whether that's physical or health wise or political in a situation and he's waiting in the wings. the problem is if he did get in, there's a third person in this race, robert f kennedy junior frankly, the calls for an actual debate to happen in the primary would increase dramatically if newsom were to get in tomorrow so he's holding back but you can only do that for so long, you can only play that came for so long until it gets to where it's either going to be joe or kamala. they are not going to waste gavin newsom without inquiring any delegates before the convention and that's something i think has to be laying on him. stuart: as ron desantis said,

over the plea deal between hunter biden and justice department. hilary vaughn on capitol hill. and they do anything about it? >> there promising to continue their investigation into the biden families business deals but they are less concerned about hunter and more concerned about father, president joe biden. this in a statement, hunter biden's tax misdemeanors are less concerning than the serious allegations of corruption and bribery facing president biden. house republicans will work to hold the big guy accountable for abusing power to enrich his family. republicans are pointing out what they think is obvious by now that there's a set of rules for republicans and one set of rules for democrats.

i did the biggest tax cuts in the history of our country. stuart: isn't that what people want policies. >> absolutely. if you look at when trump was president, i worked hand-in-hand with him, no stronger ally of president trump in the senate and i was for four years. we want some enormous policy victories from the american people including front and center, biggest tax that the generation including repealing job killing regulations and the result, look at the economy. the economy boom, the lowest unemployment and 50 years. the lowest african-american unemployment ever recorded in our nations history. we saw the lowest hispanic unemployment ever recorded in our nations history. we saw poverty going on, median wages going up. basically take every possible economic figure you can find, they were going in a positive direction under trump, take identical figures and now they are getting worse. we've got record inflation for

chairman powell. let's bring in michael lee in the meantime. i would to get specific, tell our viewers what your artificial intelligence place. >> a few of them. nvidia came out and gave the largest guidance raise in the history of the markets. as a few other names you can look at, adobe came up last week and talked about their new program to generate images, a program they haven't started charging for which could be a huge revenue booster and on the backs of nvidia, there is a xml which builds components, parts and manufacturing equipment. for nvidia to build the chips and the other play which has done extraordinarily well, microsoft. stuart: it's already a nice run, isn't it?

>> anything that can touch the i that the market things will work has already had extraordinary runs. the last few days we see a selloff in a lot of these ai names but this ai craze is for real. i like to the market is not the economy, the economy is not the market. we can't have continued economic deterioration if tech spent from the major companies across the world they change these levels and ai it's a bigger share, the positions can win big. stuart: but you still cost money and treasure, you still got one your six month treasury, six month, yes? >> yes, on the shore and in case the bottom does fall out, they should do spectacularly. stuart: defensive play. all right. we got a lot out of you into an a half minutes. thank you very much indeed. we are watching. the market has now opened.

>> he's going to india as soon as presently. india has more on this in any large country in the world so not only is tesla going to india but maybe spacex star link satellite as well. good news for tesla and for india. the stock is down for tesla today. tesla by one notch, they say the year to date gain more than doubled, is not just by the fundamentals but i would argue if tesla sets up shop in india pretty fast, it does change. stuart: big tech of executives in manhattan -- i'm sorry, washington d.c. will be at the state dinner thursday night. i think they're playing a role. >> apple, microsoft, fedex away from china and another asian country. stuart: interesting story. look at fedex taking a hit this morning. they reported this morning or last night, what went wrong?

>> i think the post pandemic world is different. during covid week set a home and ordered in the boxes came because you couldn't leave your house. now the past three quarters in a row they reported a drop in sales. the recent quarter sales fell 10% because we're shipping close. fedex for the economy but also the consumer who seen jump in interest rates, inflation and pollution of savings so fedex is going with cost-cutting. the cut about 29000 jobs the past year to save money. they are looking at route overlaps and changing that so it wasn't the best report card, stock is down, only one and a quarter. stuart: can you explain bitcoin? it's been a surge. >> closer to 30, blackrock is behind this. we did a story a couple of days

ago, obviously the world's largest asset manager. they filed for an exchange rate, bitcoin etf fund. they've never not once approved for bitcoin. if this happens, this is the lifeline for bitcoin and crypto because traditional firms are looking to get in and black rock application is slightly different so it includes a deal to share surveillance with the nasdaq. the nasdaq could get confidential information on the buyer and seller and prices for all of this so any potential manipulation which is what regulators are worried about and the talk is, they might approve it. bitcoin is pushing closer to 30,000, up 8% overnight. stuart: i wonder the explanation and the blackrock etf if they get. >> traditional firms. stuart: look at amazon because i know they announced the dates

script. edward lawrence has the script. >> is going to say nearly all members of the federal reserve believe it's appropriate to raise rates by the end of this year and the saint we've been looking for for the increase locked-in in july. they are going to -- the past several months and a pause in june and one or two more rate hikes july and possibly september. market watchers believe even though the markets are not pricing to more rate hikes. >> the federal reserve has not reduced inflation rate. the money supply is increasing, they haven't gotten the situation in the they will talk about today. tomorrow is here. >> the chairman to speak in about 20 minutes. looking at the senate banking committee sitting finds

you are going to be questioning jay powell. do you think two more rate hikes are justified? >> what is it going to take to get court inflation down? is trending down but a long ways from the 2% target the federal reserve has in large part because of the policies the biden administration. it's a combination of monetary policy and fiscal policy driving inflation. an opportunity to dramatically change course on the energy policies. we unleashed american energy we can get to work on fiscal policy side to bring inflation numbers down. rise in interest rate continues to hurt americans across the country and hopefully we can change course. stuart: so you don't want more rate hikes. >> it's a question of what we need to do to get inflation under control. the only way is through raising interest rates, probably the course they will take. i'm offering another alternative

which is get the fiscal house in order in washington. there are so many policies we can make changes on to bring inflation rate down president simply rely on the federal reserve to come in with a blunt force instrument raising rates. stuart: but you can't make big policy changes short-term. i want to turn attention to an interview on fox last night, brett baier talking to donald trump. trump says if he's reelected, his economic approach will be similar to his first term. that means tax cuts, energy independence, regulation, less regulation. is that what people want? trumps policies? >> is pretty clear president's policies worked. it's why we had lower inflation, growing economy, raising real wages across all groups going into the pandemic. what we have seen is a dramatic change in course by the biden administration. americans want to see us return

to low-inflation policies the trump administration, the policies were popular across the board. all the more reason with got to talk about policies that need changed as we head into the 2024 election. stuart: do have real hope in the future, tax cuts, less regulation and returned to energy independence? is not going to happen over overnight. it won't happen for years and even then you have to assume he would win in 2024. >> let's begin 2024 even the market indicators will spur in the investment needed. it will take years for the projects to come online but the market indicator investing in developing american energy in the united states of america will spur development positive for the economy and come bring down costs. stuart: are you with trump? mark i'm looking for a candidate who will come forward with the
