it's great to be back. larry: welcome back. elizabeth: okay, tonight this is america a's wake-up call. we're going to show you how badly the biden white house misled america. we've got a federal judge blocking the biden white house from contacting social media because of its, quote, censorship and orwellian attack against free speech. the worst in u.s. history. tonight we've got congressman darrell issa, mike garcia and tim burchett, retired lieutenant colonel james carafano, bill mcgurn, "the new york post"'s jon levine, sarah bedford and moms for liberty chairman of illinois, shannon addcock. also we've outrage mounted over cocaine discovered at the white house. democrats are worried the president cannot handle the upcoming presidential debates because of mounting mistakes. biden aides ordered not to acknowledge the president's seventh granddaughter by hunter biden, now lawmakers demand a special counsel investigate

this order temporarily blocks the bide biden administration from communicating with social media companies and working with them to flag and remove posts that contain protected speech under the first amendment. among those included in this injunction are white house press sec karine jean-pierre, the health and human services secretary, the surgeon general, the department of justice and the fbi. here is how the white house is responding. >> we certainly disagree with this decision. and as i said, the doj's reviewing this, so i'm not going to get ahead of what options they're going to potentially take moving forward. we are going to continue to promote responsible actions to protect public health, safety and security when confronted by challenges like a deadly pandemic and foreign attacks on our elections. >> reporter: in a 155-page ruling, the trump-awe pointed judge in this case says if the allegations made by plaintiffs are true, the present case

arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in united states history. attorneys general in louisiana and missouri claim the government worked to too closely with big tech companies like facebook, twitter, google to silence conservative speech. they cite examples like the hunter biden laptop story, the covid-19 lab leak theory and the efficacy of masks and vaccines during the pandemic. >> it's one thing when the left applauds silencing of conservative voices on big tech social media, but what if they were silenced next or what if all speech was silenced and controlled by the government? the whole idea is we invite dispute threw free, fair debate -- through free and fair debate. >> reporter: we did reach out to the big tech companies, and and we have not heard back. liz? elizabeth meth wow. grady trimble, great reporting. let's welcome back senior member of the house weaponization

subcommittee, congressman darrell issa, former chief speech writer for george w. bush, he's bill mcgurn. congressman, from where you sit, how badly did this white house mislead america? we're seeing the judge calling them out for things on gas prices, voter fraud and voter integrity. >> this amounts to a prim their injunction. the -- preliminary injunction. the judge found the pattern of behavior going back years, they also found it was ongoing. and i think that's the important reason for the injunction, is that there is a pattern of behavior which he believes will cross the line. not even close, cross the line. and, by the way, you know, when kudlow saw a woman with ben franklin, he just thought it was you, okay? [laughter] elizabeth: right. >> just so you know. he did know ben franklin personally, you know. elizabeth: larry kudlow misleading america. just kidding. i peel like ben franklin. mcgurn, watchdogs and the twitter files journalists, they're saying the last three years this nation has suffered from a biden white house that routinely lied and distorted even on gas prices. you know, afghanistan was a success. bill, you've talked about it. so has darrell issa. inflation's transitory, covid vaccines are safe, lockdowns are successful. what do you make of all this? >> well, first of all, the intelligence community has a lot to the answer for. remember, the the big story of 2020 was 51 former intelligence officers gave the implication that the laptop was russian information. it did that to help biden win the election. that was mostly former cia. but you see the fbi here involved with social media. it's outrageous. you know, they can go to social media if they say this guy is a russian agent, we know it, here's the proof. but it looks like they were

routinely flagging things. just -- the fbi has no business doing that. you know, if twitter wants to do it itself or facebook, they're freed to do it. but i think -- free to do it. but i think for the fbi to have so many agents dedicated to this, and, of course, they were wrong in so many things they tried to censor. notably, the laptop. elizabeth: yeah, you know, what bill is saying, congressman issa. irs whistleblowers say the fbi found that the hunter biden laptop was real back in december 2019. and the twitter files journalists say they uncovered a censorship industrial complex with blacklists of disfavored people, pressuring social media to censor, pressuring advertisers to boycott news media, social media that refused to censor. from where you sit, congressman, how deep and how bad is it? >> well, it's it extremely bad, and it's bad because -- the reason that our first amendment has been so important to so many is it's the very reason that we

have lasted 247 years as a republic. in fact, we're able to switch parties back and forth, we're able to switch ideas back and forth. because the ideas of the opposition are not stifled. and in this case, misinformation, disinformation and wrong information from the administration was allowed to go out while dissenting views -- often correct dissenting views -- were stifled. and that is dangerous to a lot of things including people who are trying to make health decisions that that, quite frankly, only got one side of the story during this pandemic. elizabeth: yeah. so final word, bill mcgurn, what congressman issa just said. this federal judge call out former press secretary jen psaki for threatening legal action against big with tech if they didn't censor. how bad is it that the media allows itself to be bullied and manipulated by this biden white house? >> well, again, you go back to the laptop, how many of the

he can hardly read from a teleprompter. he makes numerous gaffes and yells when he's challenged, and this is one of the biggests scandals in history, the -- biggest scandals in history. >> well, biden is not all there. he confuses basic world events, he stumbles through interviews, he wanders off during interviews, he's touting events that don't even exist. he's not all there and, liz, we're not even talking about, to your point, the very serious foreign bribe allegations. the democrats are in a lot of trouble if joe biden's their nominee in 2024. elizabeth: yeah. you've got to watch the polls for voters on how this feels out of control. "the new york times" says the president's white house aides do not even acknowledge or talk about hunter biden's daughter. now they've discovered cocaine at the white house that forced the white house to evacuate. the white house says it was a heavily-trafficked area, but this comes on top of news reports showing hunter biden filming himself smoking crack as he drove down a highway outside

else's, but it raises serious red flags about who's in charge over at the white house. i mean, the biden presidency is literally being propped up by a media that treats him as an unquestioned king and, frankly,ing americans have a lot of issues. and the fact that this is happening at the white house, i can't think of in my lifetime when the secret service has reported cocaine at the white house, and the fact they reported it, big story here. elizabeth: let's watch the president make even more blunders and mistakes, how he actually said in his meeting with the prime minister of india, quote, i sold a lot of state secrets. watch those gaffes, watch this scandal growing where the bidens demanded their overseas partners pay their fair share for joe biden's influence. watch this. >> started off -- [inaudible] and i sold a lot of state secrets -- [laughter] >> reporter: pride, how involve were you in your son's chinese shakedown text message?

and once-in-a-lifetime. elizabeth: just days after the supreme court struck down the use of affirmative action in college admissions, harvard university could soon be head for legal trouble over its own admissions policy. we've got lydia hu live in new york with the latest. lydia. >> reporter: good evening, liz. a complaint has been filed with the u.s. department of education saying that the legacy admissions policy gives preferential treatment to applicants who are more likely to be white and more likely to be admitted to harvard. according to the complaint, nearly 70% of legacy applicants are white, and legacy applicants were nearly six times more likely to be admitted compared to non-legacy applicants. the complaint is filed by three civil rights groups representing african immigrants and latinos. they argued this, quote: a spot

given to a legacy or donor-related applicant is a spot that becomes unavailable to an applicant who meets the admissions criteria based purely on his or her own merit. in other words, harvard admits predominantly white students using donor and legacy preferences and, as a direct result, excludes non-white applicantings. harvard declined to comment on the complaint. in the wake of the supreme court's decision to end affirmative action, colleges are searching for new admissions criteria, and some say the university of california-davis medical school could be a model for diversity advocates. according to "the new york times," the medical school value evaluates -- evaluates based on criteria like family income, parental education like college, whether they help support their nuclear families. the model has been credited with growing diversity on the campus, notable because california banned affirmative action from schools in 1996. but still, liz, some are calling

for a return to meritocracy. >> i want the best person that works hard, has the grit and the determination to be somebody in this country to be given those kinds of opportunities. that's why i'm sitting here in the halls of congress not because i'm blind, but because i worked hard. >> reporter: this new legal challenge to harvard's legacy admissions policy asks that it be stopped and for an investigation to be launched by the department of education. elizabeth: lydia, thank you so much. good story there. joining us now, moms for liberty illinois chair, it's shannon adcock. so good to have you on the show. before we get into all of what's going on with school board parent, what do you think of the white house pushing president biden as the education president and that he's about children but at the same time "the new york times" is reporting this president has ordered white house aides to not even acknowledge or talk about his seventh granddaughter, hunter biden's daughter navy with

london roberts? where's nancy pelosi on this? she keeps saying it's about the children. >> what a shame. it's horrible what they've done with that grandchild. and, you know, i have to say the first thing an education president would do is make sure that schools are actually open to educate students, and instead biden and his fellow democrats like governor pritzker here in my state of illinois kept schools closed wrongly for more than a year. as democrats prefer to bow to the wicked cabal known as teachers union, kids have suffered massive learning loss. but interestingly enough, florida governor desantis boldly took a stand, ask we were grateful to see that leadership and as a result florida's students haven't missed a beat. if you look at the naep data, that's known as the nation's report card, it shows literacy in math is down 9 points, reading is down 4 points, and this generation of students is in a crisis.

i wish more elected officials from local school boards on up to the federal government could actually have the common sense like governor desantis, and perhaps our country's students would be doing much better academically. president biden, his administration has been terrible on education e. and a sleeping giant has awakened, and we go by mom and by dad. elizabeth: yeah. let's watch the first lady talk about how the president's also about education. you're going to see a grandmother saying she wases attacked for speaking out against covid lockdowns that this white house backed. >> i knew that joe would always be the education president. because he knows that our nation's, you know, the success of our nation starts with you. he knows that education is key to filling those critical roles. and i want you to know that he hears you. >> i mean, when i started advocating for kids to go back in person, i was called a granny killer, a teacher killer, selfish on twitter.

>> let's get your reaction to first lady jill biden saying that joe biden is america's education president. >> well, i hate to say that i think she may be the only person who believes that. i think the vast majority of americans believe that that joe biden has so undersupported and underprepared our kids for what we're dealing with. elizabeth: so, shannon, your reaction to all that because we're seeing, you know, new analysis coming in that the number of school board recall efforts nationwide already this year is higher than what it was before the pandemic. it's something like nearly 150 recall efforts against nearly 230 officials since the beginning of the year, you're going to see michigan, california, colorado leading the charge, leading the way on that. what do you think? >> well, you know, concern parents have every right to petition their locally-elected school boards on any number of concerns. and, unfortunately, in 2020 the just like cofounder of moms for liberty tiffany justice rightfully say, the curtain was pulled back, and parents really

saw how the system is failing children. it's failing our children. and so you're seeing that parents across both political aisles, you know, all political -- across the whole political spectrum are starting to really pay attention to this topic of education. and the greatest common denominator is that of parenthood. and parents are centering on this issue of doing right by children, making sure that they are academically successful -- elizabeth: yeah, but what are the teachers' unions doing and activists doing in standing up against you guys? >> oh, well, they have -- they've sued. they've sued parents. they've literally sued parents who were doing public records requests and who were asking really good questions because parents do want to be involved and be partners in their children's education. i've been a target by the teacher union in illinois, the national education association has listed me by name in their newsletters and moms for liberty, the organization i started in illinois. we are a formidable force politically, and they know it.

elizabeth: well, back with us now from house appropriations, he's congressman mike garcia. congressman, it's great to see you back on the show again. okay, first this story, your committee wants to defund and eliminate john kerry's climate czar office? why? >> yeah, and there's going to be a few more offices, i think, in the near future we're going to

be looking at as well. this is the power of the purse. this is the promise we made to the american people to hold bureaucrats and especially folks like john kerry who, frankly, are either not doing his job or his job is superfluous accountable. and this is how we do this. $6 million a year for -- 16 million a year for him and his staff for this climate change office. to put that in perspective, we've got roughly $52 billion being requested by this president in his fy-24 request which is about 15% higher than last year's request. and this is in addition to about $500 billion marked for climate change initiatives across the chips act and inflation reduction act and the bipartisan infrastructure package. so we're literally talking hundreds of billions, over half a trillion dollars dedicated to climate change, and we need to see the results. obviously, i support protecting our planet. we have to do everything that we can to be good sue wards of this

planet to include getting to lower emission if capabilities in the future and making sure that our kids and grandkids have a safe place to live in the future, but we also have to hold china accountable. we've been giving billions of dollars to china to help them with their co2 the emissions, and their emissions are actually going up 4% just in the last quarter. so this is -- the crux of the issue is that we're holding ourselves accountable and not the rest of the planet, and we're spending too much money on this, not getting the results. elizabeth: yeah. >> and we need to be better stewards of american taxpayer dollars. elizabeth: we want to protect our planet but, you know, how do we do it with sustainability and also in a way that makes sense. you're going to hear now, congressman, the cofounder of greenpeace, he said it last year that, you know, going just with wind and solar and replacing fossil fuels with that is, quote, insane. watch this. >> the same people who are against all toss sill fuel use are also -- fossil fuel use are also against all nuclear energy,

and that is the only technology that can actually i place fossil fuels as a reliable source 24/7. we could replace 50% of the fossil fuels in the next 30 years or 40 years with nuclear energy with no difficulty at all. but the idea that wind and solar are going to replace fossil fuels or nuclear or hydroelectric is absolutely insane. elizabeth: you know, congressman, now you've got more states planning to tax american car drivers by the miles driven -- not by the gallon. so even if they don't own an electric car, i mean, you've got three states oregon, utah and virginia doing that. g. >> yeah. you know, i come from the belly of the beast in terms of terrible policies. in california we've got a governor now mandating everyone purchase an ev vehicle, and these are not cheap cars, by the year 2032 when the technology and the infrastructure, we have rolling blackouts already because we have too much demand on our electrical system, and he

wants everyone driving an electric car can. and, frankly, the price points aren't there, the electrical infrastructure isn't there, and this is a state that is actively closing down its nuclear power plants to the point that the gentleman was making earlier, we have good energy and efficiencies, safety right now in nuclear technology, especially the small modular technologies that we're looking at, and with we can offset a lot of this energy production through those technologies. but we're divesting from those, we're relying on wind and solar, and sometimes the sun doesn't glow, sometimes the wind doesn't blow and sometimes the water doesn't flow especially in california. we can't rely just on those means of -- elizabeth: congressman, you just got a bumper sticker out of that. appreciate you, congressman garcia. come bag soon, okay? >> thank you, appreciate it. elizabeth: we've got this story coming up, top lawmakers including chuck grassley and ron johnson, james comer, jim jordan, jason smith, they say a special counsel must investigate government officials retaliating

not only been in charge, but still continues to be in charge of the hunter biden investigation. we suppose it's not officially are over until that plea deal is approved by a judge, if it's approved by a judge. but several republicans, house republicans, don't believe that he's actually the one calling the shots, although that's what he's telling congress. house are republicans are giving him until tomorrow to answer several questions about this probe; namely, who has been in charge from the beginning. now, he wrote them late last week warning them he would not meet their deadline. it all began with a different june 7th letter where he wrote, i have been granted ultimate authority over this matter including responsibility for deciding where, when and whether to file charges. a few weeks later house judiciary chairman jim jordan wrote to david wise asking him who toll him to sign that letter. jordan doesn't believer that weiss called the shots, he thinks it was the top leadership at the justice department in washington. jordan believes this based off the testimony of special agent

elizabeth: post columnist jon levine and washington examiner political reporter zaire or rah bedford who's been -- sarah bedford. jon, david weiss gave credibility to the whistleblowers by not contradicting them on what doj officials were doing in stonewalling the investigation into hunter biden. >> right. i mean, someone is clearly lying here and clearly committing a crime because people like weiss and merrick garland have said that they were not obstructed and is weiss had full authority. but you have shapley saying he was obstructed and he wanted to become a potential counsel, and he wanted bring charges in other jurisdictions and was prevented from doing so. someone is not telling the truth here. so you have to, i think, ultimately, this will only be settled with a special counsel which would be appointed maybe after a 2024 presidential election if the republicans should take back the white house. it'd be a decision, ultimately, the american people have to decide on. elizabeth: sarah, let's get your reaction to former president trump in south carolina saturday on biden family corruption.

document situation thanks to this whistleblower testimony. one of them, you know, just off the top is the different approach to searching if premises -- the premises that trump and hunter biden both had, you know? the whistleblowers testified that investigators believed there was evidence in the guest home at joe biden's delaware residence where hunter biden was living. people in david weiss' office, the u.s. attorney's office in delaware, agreed with investigators that that they were likely to find evidence of tax crimes in that guest home, but the decision was made that a raid was too aggressive, too politically sensitive x they didn't go forward. many donald trump's case, the -- in donald trump's case, the justice department pushed to have an unannounced raid over the concern of the line acts who thought that was too aggressive. trump's lawyers were already working with the justice department. so you can see the different way in some of these tactical steps that investigators have taken that the justice department has taken such different approaches. elizabeth: yeah. >> when you compare hunter bide-

elizabeth: what sarah just said is, jon, it's just for treatment, right? if this is so aboveboard, why isn't the president giving a full-throated defense of what the biden family was doing? why did the white house at the start of the biden white house suddenly start to mitt the visitor logs from hunter biden's visits to the white houses? why are there no visitor logs to biden's houses in delaware? he's spent almost half of his presidency there. >> the president continues to deny the facts that we've proven over and over again, that he was involved in his son's overseas business dealings. youd had business partners visiting him at the white house went -- when he was vice president and visiting with hill on the golf course and in restaurants this washington d.c. you don't need a special prosecutor necessarily to get answers here. the thing i would say is paper. what, if david can weiss attempted to become a special counsel, if he attempted to bring charges in other jurisdictions, there would be a paper trail of that, and that's something house republicans and the oversight committee and ways and means committee can try to get their hands on to prove the

[laughter] pete buttigieg is once again showing he was way out of his league, ma'am. i was a mayor, we balanced budgets, not raise tax, pay down debt, pay cash for schools, things like that in knox county. all he did was raise taxes, and he checked a box, and this white house has put him in position, he's way with over his head. he's a champion up show. he rides his bike a quarter of a

block into the office after his security guards let him out of the suburban, and he wants the blame the weather? give me a break. we've got some real problems. we've got labor issues, other things, and we don't need a complainer in chief, we need somebody on the ground. elizabeth: there's a serious shortage of air traffic controllers. it's, like, 20 out of 26 critical facilities are below the faa's threshold of what they need for staffing. it's an 85% threshold, they're way below that. we've got a lot of airports that do not have enough our a traffic controllers. >> absolutely. we met with them, our transportation secretary -- i mean, our transportation chairman, republican, had us meet with them several weeks ago, and we went over that fact very much. and this administration continues to play the social card there. they're talking about the the weather with, they're talking about the lgbtq whatever issues. elizabeth: yeah. >> that's all they want to talk about. they don't want to talk about running the ship, they want to

talk about all these other issues, and this is clearly an example. elizabeth: show the iranings -- rankings for the worst airports for flight delays and cancellations, some pretty big airports. dallas, chicago, milwaukee. these are, you know, that's what we're seeing the highest percentage of cancellations. i mean, these are, you know, supposedly solid airports, but they're having real trouble now. >> yes, ma'am. these are hub, and these are are international hubs. it's causing economic problems all over the country, of course. and you know coming into a holiday weekend that that's when it's going to happen. and yet, again, we're not prepared once again, and they're pointing -- they're playing the -- pointing the finger at somebody else. they ought to be, you know, real leadership is saying, hey, we screwed up, we're going to fix this thing. there's no plan to fix it. i'm sure they'll have another hearing on some woke cause around the country and attack a presidential candidate in the opposite party. elizabeth: got it. congressman burchett, don't be a stranger, come back soon. >> thank you, liz.
