trending around where carter was, we have a new poll that says the largest drop in americans confidence and faith and u.s. institutions is 15 percentage points decline for the presidency, that much is 15-point drop in biden's job approval rating since this survey was done in june of 2021 so what you make of that? >> you might say the president's job approval rating has been adjusted for inflation, inflation he caused from spending, borrowing and printing trillions upon trillions of dollars. another thing important this jobs number as we dig into the details, we find the devil and for example, the number of people you have additional jobs, people who can't make ends meet and they get a second or third job, they account for literally the entirety of the jobs added because els double counts people who have more than one jobs, there's a good chance of the

better off than you were four years ago? trump is going to hammer this. >> and i think he should. every candidate should. if you look at the ftc and what they are doing to acquisitions and businesses, they are adding so much paperwork by their own estimations, it will cost companies 350 million a year more just to put together paperwork for a merger or acquisition. that's what saves bad companies and gross good companies so the fact that we've got government working against business all the while telling them how they should run their businesses, the cost of regulations are hard to measure but we know after president trump came in and took over and said there will be one new regulation for every i can't remember, five or ten you cut, we saw a boom in the economy and that's what we need, government to get out of the way and let companies run their businesses for shareholders which is the purpose. liz: what you think of that? sent seven out of ten americans say the nation is on the wrong

track, the country disapproves of biden, what you think of this? >> a miracle anyone approves of the president's handling of this economy but i think it's clear consumers do not want the woke agenda pushed by corporations and they have been clear about sending that message in shareholder meetings and dumping stock and refusing to buy the product of those companies that push the far left wing agenda. it's clear people don't want it. liz: the excuses and rationale for why the economy is so bad, it keeps changing as much as a stories out of the white house who left cocaine in the white house. let's listen to james clyburn working on the biden campaign. watch this. >> i think in the country today, people are on almost everything and i think it's for good reason.

shortage attention problems other, this is because a driver that has a truck is not confident driving, he's not going to stay in the occupation to do that job he's going to leave and find something else. liz: are you worried biden white house is basically outsourcing green energy to california in california is saying they are going to go all electric vehicle? is not enough charging stations and doesn't it take like ten hours to fully charge an electric truck? >> the time to charge a truck is going to be phenomenal in these batteries are going to wait 16000 pounds and that's 8 tons you will have on the way to the truck so are you going to add that to the gross weight of the vehicle or because -- take away capacity what the truck and haul? we saw the recent think with the supply chain crisis so when you

talk taking another 16000 pounds away or adding it to the truck and if you add to it, it increases the load the truck will pull so this is not a winning situation. the technology is not there yet we are bankrupting the country trying to get the overnight. liz: we know toyota is making a breakthrough electric car batteries, lighter battery that basically charges faster we've got 20 state attorneys general sending a letter, the battery is not ready for prime time yet. twenty state attorneys general sent a letter to the epa saying what are you doing forcing truckers -- car manufacturers increase electric vehicle sales? is unlawful misguided, is going to room consumer safety and economic stability and national security and by the way, isn't there an issue heavier batteries will destroy roads and bridges after all that spending?

>> yes obviously when you increase the weight of the vehicle you have more wear and tear on the pavement. common sense two plus two equals four equation yet it seems to be lost on these folks and i will tell you talking about the cost and stuff, independent driver association, we partnered with epa in 2018 to write the rules we are dealing with now and they decided we didn't have any idea what we are talking about or want our input. the initial cost in 2018 was going to be around $6000 a truck and they wound up costing over $28000, that was real cost of the trucks were putting out and if i can go back further to the clinton administration when karol browner was epa administrator, they went back and said the truck engine companies gave truck engines

that weren't what they were supposed to be kind of like the volkswagen we have the last couple of years ago. they found the truck engine manufacturers and said if you don't produce the engine, you're not going to sell it so they put these engines out and they were reliable, we have thousands of members, truckers lost their vehicles because they couldn't afford payments because of the downtime. liz: this is going to hurt the supply chain. that's what's going to happen and when people see that happening, they will say really? you need truckers, truckers want their america's economy would come to a full stop. you are terrific. we'll have you back on the show, we just ran out of time. did you have a quick final thing? >> i'm not going to be the driver sleeping in an electric truck while it's plugged into 220 fault.

medicine and there are side effects and we've known this since the beginning. monitor side effects and if they go long enough, you have a syndrome. i interviewed a couple weeks ago with a vaccine experts in the world at mayo side effects from the vaccines ringing in the ears. i asked how common it is and he said it is and i looked into it and it is. ringing in the ears, tonight is much more from the viruses so that's the issue. long covid could occur brain fog with tachycardia, her issues and issues in almost every organ in the body, it's not surprising you would see some of the same things from the vaccine because what is the vaccine doing? trying to mimic the virus so your body is alerted to that and sometimes you get the side effects. the key is you get it less often. an example, myocarditis which you get from the vaccine for

sure, you get from covid for short and much more from covid if you've been vaccinated enough your chances of developing it is less so what is wrong here and i think this is why you want to do this, nobody is open about this. the vaccine site says no side effects, covid side says the vaccine is terrible, but i think the vaccine is useful but keep an eye out for this. >> you are talking ringing in the ears and tingling in, that's neuropathy so what would you advise? people are saying forget it, we'll just contract covid and get antibodies naturally, we don't want to take the vaccine, we've got media on the nbc and others saying in get the vaccine and some saying to get the same day you get the flu and rsv shots, it seems like a hit to the body. what you advise about vaccines? some people are taking a lot of boosters.

>> really smart questions. with omicron, the milder version right now. a lot of the country is blanketed with natural immunity from infection. i'm looking at target groups. how high-risk are you? you have underlying medical issues? are you obese? i'm looking at giving boosters. i don't want to give the same day because i want to observe you for side effects. all vaccines you mentioned have potential side effects. the flu vaccine can cause side effects. i have somebody who developed a facial droop, i thought for sure it was a covid vaccine but it was the covid shot, flu shot. i want to watch patients to see how they do. overall, these are tremendously helpful and decrease severity and disease and death but they have a cost. also we do, risk-benefit analysis. who benefits the most and whose

europe on sunday. liz: mark meredith, thank you for joining us. let's welcome back to the show vice chair of the republican conference. what you make of this story and what are you hearing, who left cocaine of the white house, who was it? >> the most ridiculous is the white house misdirection, they've had a master class over this. first they said there was no cocaine and then they said well, there was but it was a tourist area and then we found out it was supposedly a secure area but definitely didn't belong to hunter biden or anybody in the family. does anybody believe anything they say anymore? it raises serious concerns, it's supposed to be the most secure building in the world and either we have a serious security lapse or hunter biden or someone is getting a pass. liz: how can they can't find out who left it? >> that's a great question. there are criminal investigators from around the country commenting how easily this should be determined and it's a

real problem. remember this president ran on the whole platform of bringing order to the white house. consider it last month was had transacted us expose themselves in the white house and is now scheduled to narcotic. liz: the more the white house runs away from the story the more they change the narratives, the more it looks like they know who left it and they don't want a story out there that hunter biden left cocaine of the white house. he mentioned this, the law enforcement and media are not buying the constant change in narratives and now ethics pros are saying what's with the story that they are invoking the hatch act to dodge the questions about what's going on. >> i don't have a response to that mark we have to be careful about that. what i will say is i've noticed there does seem to be increasing

tough question, nothing to do with the campaign, it's about law and order and congress is going to have to investigate this, we have to get the answers to the american people, they deserve that and this administration has shown it is incapable of policing themselves, supposedly investigating this in the state department investigating their own withdrawal from afghanistan. liz: we've got troops around the world, women and men serving our country looking back at the white house saying cocaine and the white house, it's lawbreaking, a felony. that's wrong. we do not want to demoralize our troops and men and women in blue here anymore. we got former top officials like former customs and border patrol commissioner mark morgan saying secret service is basically should have already solved the mystery by now, they've got cameras all over the place, the search should have taken 30 minutes if they used all the resources at their disposal. cameras everywhere.

is reporting for all time alzheimer's patients. what you make of the fda that fully approved biogenic for alzheimer's? we haven't seen his approval since 20 years. what you make of this breakthrough treatment? >> a little bittersweet, there is good hope and there are concerns. the good news is it does appear to work, there's a theory if you lower this in the brain it will result in better clinical outcomes, is a theory proven correct. on the downside, there's a black box warning in this new approval today, it warns of severe life-threatening events referring to 13% of patients in the trial that had brain swelling and 19% had a brain bleed. that's about double number of people in the placebo group and three deaths in the group of about 900 so informed consent, only mild and early alzheimer's, pre-alzheimer's like dementia so

75% of people are not even candidates and those of big price tag. liz: 26500 annually so potentially fatal side effects like brain swelling, bleeding, seizures, potentially even death so that's what people need to know first and foremost. this gives hope to all farmers patients, 6.7 million of them out there with their families in but we want to make sure they have the information, is there anything else you can tell? >> 1.5 million people out of the 6 million plus our candidates, this is an iv infusion every other week, it does appear to promise and hopefully the next generation will do better. there are style changes that can reduce the risk of alzheimer's according to experts so we need to study those things not just

drugs. liz: and is not the only drug, there are more coming down the pike, right? >> that's right. more drugs and the thought is we can use monoclonal antibody technology for other things just like we learned it worked well for covid so that is promising in. liz: let's talk about medicare, medicare will reimburse the cost but only for beneficiaries enrolled in this nationwide registry that will track patients side effects and outcomes over time but patient advocacy groups are worried this could cut back the number of all farmers patients for the treatment that are eligible. >> some of these medication programs and medicare were never designed for expensive drugs, they were routine chronic disease drugs. a new drug that is a $26000 a year cost, 80% will be paid for by medicare and i appreciate their asking everyone to register in a big registry to
