catastrophic withdrawal from afghanistan. i say catastrophic because the president's standing at america's standing went downhill from there. russia invaded ukraine, china, iran supplied drones to putin and now news that north korea's kim jong-un will visit moscow probably to work out a weapons for food program. china's xi jinping will not attend the g 20 summit. added all appended is clear the new world order is taking shape, its dictators against democracy, china, russia, iran, north korea versus america, europe, japan, it is a clear divide and america's weakness, biden is at the center of it. have enemies and rivals are unable to respond effectively to challenges. they jump into the power vacuum. they know three of four americans don't want him to run for another term. he is too old. they think they have him on the run.
10:03 am
hard to believe this new world order would have taken shape of donald trump was still president. last one. the first lady has tested positive for covid. the president leaves the day after tomorrow. coughed a lot of the speech, vice president harris could go. what do you think china or russia would make of that. second hour of varney just getting started. charlie hurt with me, charlie, i am coming on strong. do you think this new world order is the direct result of the afghan withdrawal. >> without a doubt and you are right to call it a new world order. it stems as you point out, stems entirely from this america last position of
10:04 am
weakness the president biden, and you are right about the fact that if donald trump had been reelected and was still president none of these things would have happened. this is the result in part because donald trump makes clear lines, people know where he is, world leaders work -- they were a little afraid of him, and kept of them in line. as for the war in ukraine that would not have happened had president biden not come in and staggered energy independence which increase the price of oil which makes vladimir putin a wealthy man, and went into ukraine. stuart: let's turn to the election, wall street journal polls 59% of gop numbers prefer

trump to be the party's nominee. he leads desantis by 46 points. >> i don't know the answer to that. it all goes back to what you said a minute ago. it is not just the new world order on global stage but the economy. when voters dismiss all of the controversy that surrounds donald trump and the media's portrayal of him and look at the issues, they love donald trump. donald trump is, he is on the 80, 90, 70% side of every big issue whether it is the border or crime or gas prices or the economy. any of these things donald trump is in the far, far majority of all these things. if they want to talk about all
10:06 am
the controversy the media tends to stir up about him, then you don't like him. i understand that. when it comes to the issues. as far as how these candidates close the gap between them and him, the more upset, the more difficult times become poor american voters, the more they separate the nonsense from the issues and focus on the issue and when they focus on the issues they like trump's policies and i think, obviously we see that in the primary and once we turn to the general election the same dynamic will happen in the general election. the more difficult things come for regular voters the more they focus on the issues, the more they end up liking donald trump. stuart: it is a fascinating election and it is historic.
