larry kudlow. all right, the die is cast. house speaker ken mcif car think concern kevin mccarthy has declare an impipe e. inquiry to deal with president joe biden and his family's culture of corruption. the effort will be led by chairman james comer at the committee on oversight in the coordination with chairman jim jordan of the judiciary and chairman jason smith on ways and means. many mccarthy called the impeachment inquiry an a apex of power for the house. here's what the speaker had to say today. >> taken together, these allegations paint a picture of a culture of corruption. eyewitnesses have testified that the president joined on multiple phone calls and had multiple interactions, dinners resulted in cars and millions of dollars into his son's, his son's business partners. if we know that bank records

show that nearly $20 million in payments were directed to the biden family members and associates through various shell companies. the treasury department alone has more than 150 transactions involving the biden family. that's why today i am directing our house committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry into president joe biden. larry: all right. this impeachment inquire has become necessary because of the politicized justice department and fbi. they have blocked and stonewalled house investigators all year, indeed, they have blocked and stonewalled investigators for many years. the appointment of special counsel david weiss is an insult to any definition of a fair justice system. he is an integral part of main justice and the biden administration. but any special prosecutor,

including the notorious jack smith, should be completely outside of government, not a willing instrument of the white house. basically, joe biden wants to throw donald trump in jail for 700 years to prevent the former president from becoming president again. and, by the way, that idea of president again is looking increasingly probable according to numerous polls. the tragic irony here is that mr. trump is being indicted for exercising his first amendment free speech rights whereas joe biden is the one who apparently has broken the law through bribery, influence peddling, bank and money fraud and other potential charges. i know these are all allegations, but as speaker mccarthy said today, the evidence of biden wrongdoing is growing larger and larger e. finish a couple more points on biden's troubles. the world price of oil has jumped back to $9 0 a barrel,

and the average national gasoline price has increased to $3.84. meanwhile, a militant united autoworkers union may well go on strike against the big three u.s. automakers thursday, september 14th. it's a strike for higher wages and benefits, but it would also be a strike against joe biden's far-left climate change electric vehicle mandate which could knock out 500,000 autoworkers' jobs and cripple the u.s. economy. biden has caved in to the opec+ crowd of saudi arabia, russia, venezuela and iran by freezing alaskan and gulf of mexico oil. it's an act of sheer insanity. also breaks the law by sidestepping congressional legislative mandates. and meanwhile, while biden's budget deficit has spiraled back to $2 trillion, his open borders policy is pushing down wages by

and thank you so much for laying that out so well for your viewers to to understand what's really happening in washington, d.c.. i was so glad to see speak toker e kevin mccarthy -- speaker kevin mccarthy announce the impeachment inquiry this morning. it was a very strong move, and i believe that's what real leadership looks like. we have to deal to the bottom of the corruption here in washington d.c. not only is this about joe biden, but, larry, i want to tell you something very important. we need to investigate this for as long as it takes to uncover every single unelected bureaucrat that has covered up joe biden's crimes, and we need a list of those names, because when we get president trump back in the white house, we need to hold those very people in the deep state accountable for covering up the crimes of joe biden and propelling him to the highest seat of power in our country. larry: i mean, it's very interesting or ironic or or tragic, marjorie, here you've

got biden and all of his legal henchmen trying to bust donald trump, i throw him in jail for literally 700 years plus. i don't know, that's the latest count, top him from becoming president. trump's exercising his free speech about the election and many other things and his presidential prerogative whereas with it's joe biden who seems of to have committed actual crimes. not just free speech, actual crimes if any of these allegations are proven true, and the evidence seems to be moving in that direction. >> that is absolutely correct, larry. look at what they've done to president trump, his family, his supporters, his administration, even people that worked at mar-a-lago. this is absurd. he was used and bruised the political power -- abused the political power they have in washington not only to twice politically impeach him which are both wrong and need to be expunged which i am demanding in the house of representatives, but also they continue to use the power of the department of

justice to politically pursue ask and persecute president trump for simply using his free speech. this is wrong and we cannot stand for it. but at the same time, it is our duty in the house of representatives to go after corruption and take it out of the government. that's what the american people deserve, and that's what we're going to do. larry: marjorie, i take it that the speaker is not going to pursue a vote in the house on a resolution to gain an impeachment inquiry. if i think that's raised a few eyebrows. i don't know how important that was. what's your take on that? were you surprised? >> no, i'm not surprised. i'm going to tell you, i absolutely love it, and here's why. we're just following precedent, and nancy pelosi is the one that set that precedent. is so i think this should be a warning to democrats and all democrat leaders, you better be careful for every pandora's pox

that -- box that you open because with we will use it too. larry: yeah, i mean, right. what's good for the goose is good for the gander, or something like that. the three committees will now get together and, what, coordinate better? your committee, mr. comer's chair committee is in the lead. they all meet on thursday? i'm trying to piece together the process here,they're going to present the evidence to the speaker or what? how's that going to work, marjorie? >> so going forward, speaker mccarthy has assigned james comer for oversight, jim jordan for judiciary and jason smith for the ways and means committee. we will be joining these three committees together to develop the committee that pursue the impeachment inquiry, and that process is underway. the first meeting that we will have will be with the entire conference on thursday where speaker kevin mccarthy will address the conference about this very important issue and how it works for the house of

care jordan and chair come orer have done an incredible job. look what we've learn as a result of their efforts. we know that mr. hunter biden was either selling influence or selling the appearance of influence. we know mr. hunter biden, as a result of that, he's -- at best he's a sleazebag. at worst he's a thief. number two, we know that president biden was well aware of what his son was doing. when president biden said i've never discussed business with my son and i have no idea what he's doing, the president was lying. number three, as a result of the house are republicans' effort, we know that president biden not only was aware of what his son was doing, but he aggressively enabled it.

now, those are the facts. is it enough for an impeachment proceeding or do they need to gather more facts, that's up to the house. but if you're asking me where i think this leads, i think it leads to an impeachment. i realize that president biden has his side of the story, and as best i can tell the white house's argument is that president biden is just a good family man who talks to six of his seven grandchildren every day, and he's such a swell father that he calls in regularly to his son's business meetings to the talk about the weather. but nobody believes that. [laughter] larry: and gives them all their own maul business -- small business llc, senator kennedy -- >> right. larry: -- and puts money into those llcs which somehow seem to i'm going to say dribble up to then-vice president biden and who knows what nowadays. i mean, or you're right, he's a wonderful grandfather except for

that kid down in the ozarks who he won't acknowledge. >> well, this whole thing with mr. hunter biden, secretly president biden has got to be embarrassed. i mean, this whole hinge -- thing the, it reeks of privilege, it reeks of influence peddling, it reeks of sleaze. and i just, i'm grateful that the house got the facts, if they're going to keep going. larry: yes. let me move on. you know, 9/11 -- so joe biden doesn't go to any of the memorials. he's in alaska. by the way, spitting in the face of alaskan oil, no oil and gas drilling. we'll get to that in a minute. but, but, but, but, we learn that the state department puts together this deal, some kind of hostage a swap, and winds up unfreezing $6 billion to iran. $6 billion, a lot of money. iran is broke and needs every nickel it can find.

we've already allowed them higher oil prices, now we're giving them $6 billion. what do you think about this? >> well, first, i know president biden didn't make the 9/11 ceremony, but to be fair, he's busy. he did send the vice president. but to answer your question, everyone has the right to be stupid now and then. but for the last two years, president biden has abused the privilege. and this latest deal that he made with iran is sort of the cherry on top. how can i put this? more sheep is not gonna solve the wolf problem. the only thing that has ever gotten iran's attention were the sanctions. and they're not strong enough. and if president biden wants to, he can ratchet those sanctions

down. whether our so-called allies in europe support us or not. he doesn't want to do that because he thinks that that if he gives the ayatollah in iran a hug and a good hot cup of coe eco, that -- cocoa, that president biden can win him over. and that's nonsense. i mean, that's -- weakness invites the wolves. and the ayatollah is a wolf. and, i mean, peace through weakness has never worked. larry: so related to this iran thing, iran -- as you know, sir -- iran is part of opec+. now, here's my point. oil prices are going back towards $100 a barrel in the world market. gasoline prices are going back up to to, they're going back up to $4 nationwide, higher in a lot of places as you know. opec cuts production if or

extends its production, that's iran, venezuela along with the saudis and the russians, and joe biden's response, sir, is to freeze drilling in alaska and to freeze drilling in the gulf of mexico. i might add a in both cases, violating the law because there are congressional mandates, legislative mandates for a lot of these lease sales. so biden, i mean, i don't know which side he's on. we give $6 billion to iran, and now he's giving opec+ higher oil prices, and american consumers, drivers, middle class, blue collar folks getting damaged as their wages sink lower and lower after inflation. i mean, what's going on here? the oil story is almost neglected, but i don't want to neglect it. >> well, president biden is on the side of the teleprompter. i mean, he's going to -- his policy is whatever that teleprompter says it is. i'm sorry to have to say that,

but it's true. as best i can tell by his deeds if not his words, the president's new energy policy in termses of fossil fuels is, look, let's give up america's energy independence -- larry: right. >> -- and instead of pollution our own oil, let's buy oil at higher prices from nations that hate us so those nations will have more money to buy weapons to try to kill us. and -- [laughter] it just makes absolutely no sense. point two, president biden is violating the law. congress passed a law, i was there and voted on it, to to open up drilling in anwr. if it will not hurt the environment. the area that we're drilling on in anwr in alaska, imagine this, imagine a football field. put a stamp in the middle of the field on the 50-yard line. that's the area on which the oil and gas industry will drill. the entire football field is

anwr. the polar bears are safe. president biden is violating the law by not following congress' directive. larry: and the natives want the jobs. >> of course. larry: the natives want the jobs, but the other one is in the gulf of mexico, down your way. lease sales that were legislated by congress that biden has overturned. this guy's breaking the the law once again, just like he's breaking the law regarding student loan cancellations. he's breaking the supreme court decision. this guy's, i mean, there's, there's a pattern earn of corruption here, to use speaker mccarthy's phrase this morning. >> well, president biden, i mean, i think it's just a fact, you see it, i see it, the american people see it, there are two wings of the democratic party. and one of them is called the loon wing. some might say the woke wing. that's the wing that president biden has embraced. and part of the loon wing's

agenda is to get rid of all fossil fuels, all petrochemicals. we're going to live solely op on wind and solar power. and as i have said before, i'll say it again, my car does not run on unicorn urine or fairy dust. it's a totally unrealistic view of the world, and president, and i and the ayatollah and vladimir putin and the folkses in cuba and venezuela, they're laughing at him. they're laughing at america. they're saying we don't have to fire a shot at you guys, y'all are just destroying yourselves. and we need a change. i've said this before too, larry, and i mean it, the water 's not going to clear up til you get the pigs out of the creek. and that's true in washington. larry: well, i agree with that. i'm interested in your wolf and sheep. you know, i think it was in the

opposite economist. but the truth is the labor with market -- labor marketses are relaxing a little bit. they're not as a tight as they were. and if that is the case, then handing out those work permits could depress wages for everybody else. finish but the fact of the matter is that the biden add administration -- administration whether you agree or disagree with the policy, they're breaking the law. i mean, it's illegal to sneak in our country, and if you get caught, you're supposed to be deported, and president biden says, no, come on in. larry: well, your inference before, i said it in my opening riff, i believe it's the time to retire mr. biden. i say that with the greatest respect. retirement's not such a bad thing. not for you, senator kennedy. i'm talking about president biden. wrong with, and you're outlining how to troy the swamp -- destroy the swamp, and i thought you'd share some of that a vision with us because it's a noble cause if there ever was one. >> thank you, larry. i've given a sneak preview of the speech i'll be delivering tomorrow morning. half march oh, it's tomorrow. >> yes, it's the tomorrow morning, but we know it's a topic of passion with you, so i was looking forward to this conversation as well. the thing that the adviser class, the managerial or class has told presidents from reagan to trump that you can't shut down can be agencies as a u.s. president. you cannot fire large numbers of federal employees, that you can't rescind federal regulations without asking congress for permission. it urnses out, larry, if to you read the law carefully, the u.s. president absolutely can, and that's what i'm going to lay out tomorrow, laying out a man for reducing the size of the federal employee if head count by over 75%, 50 by the end of my first

year in office. al shutting down five governmenn five government agencies, those are the first five of many more to come which we'll late out in great detail and also rescinding a majority of federal regulations which i view as a unconstitutional pursuant to the standard laid out by the u.s. supreme court in west virginia v. epa last year. this will be a seismic shock to the system, larry, once genre storing three branches of government as our founding fathers envisioned, shutting down this unconstitutional shadow government and the administrative state. and i think i am the presidential candidate who's going to have offered probably the greatest level of detail on how to actually get that job done, and then we're going to get in there after the 2024 and actually do it. larry: you know, vivek, again, all noble causes. finish my pal russ vought, omb director, and steve miller, senior advisor, you know, they worked on schedule f right at

the end of the trump administration. >> yes. larry: ran out of time. so i'm assuming you're going to go back there, because the idea -- you can take out large numbers of civil servants, etc., you just can't take one out. i think that was the hanging, we were going to try to take out large, you know, like the department of's -- of education -- >> that's right. larry: i know sneak preview, i happened to be the vice chair of the fpi, so you can sneak preview me. put a little meat on the bones for me. >> that's good, yeah. [laughter] and i like to go into detail on these issues because it matters. so the schedule f exceptions, i think, were a great step in the right direction. what that means is there's certain categories that you all, i think, were working on to say that there's federal employees who are in policy making roles that the u.s. president can fire. well, expand that to say more employees fit that function to say you can fire slightly more employees, and i think that's a step in the right direction.

what i'm laying out tomorrow is a fundamentally different approach. not going through the back door of schedule f, but through the front door of reading the statutes which say that you can't fire individual civil servants, but what they call into law -- in the law large reductions in force -- larry: right. >> -- mass layoffs. those aren't included in the civil service protections, and mass layoffs are a absolutely what i'm bringing to washington d.c. the the other thing is there are unexpired provisions of the 1977 presidential reorganization act that say under limited circumstances -- if it's to stimulate the economy, if it's to promote efficiency in operations, if it's to reduce redundant agencies, the u.s. president already has statutory authority to shut down and reorganize agassis. that's what i'm going to use for the fbi, for the atf, for the u.s. department of education e, for the nuclear regulatory agency, and we're going to go into detail.

say those 35,000 employees at the fbi, 20,000 of them can find honest work in the private sector. the 15,000 agents on the front line, we will reorganize them and move them to the u.s. marshals or the treasury or, for that matter, to the dea on the front lines of the fentanyl epidemic across country. that is how we at once increase effectivelyness while -- effectiveness while restoring the constitutional integrity of our republic and, by the way, stimulating our economy. keep in mind, the administrative state suppresses the u.s. economy. this is the top of my domestic policy priority agenda and, larry, for me these aren't just talking points. this is a vision of what we're actually going to get in there and do. not incrementally reform and tinker around the edges, we're going to get in there and shut it down. that's why i'm running for president, and i think we're going to succeed. larry: all right. a noble cause, all noble causes. vivek ramaswamy, good luck.

republicans must force joe biden and every democrat out there to eat and own all the bidenomics failures. larry: yep. >> look at the report today. it just has been almost undercovered given the impact on young people. i'm not a young person. i was a very long time ago, and the way that you can buy a home now, now, in 2019 as you know because you were at the white house helping to make this so, we had a boon year. that year income rose and poverty fell for the first time in 50 years. those are just facts. finish and now a child poverty last year, last year, this year has doubled. and part of that is because of bad policy, part of that obviously is they didn't expend the childcare tax credit, etc. but when you have lower poverty the, higher wages, you can do things like buy a home. so in 2019 the average a price for a home was about $236 -- less than 250,000. you're saying that you could have made $60,000 a year, one of you, not even your spouse, and been able to afford $1700 a

month in mortgage payment. the same house now is about $436,000, and both of you need to make 100,000. that's before you furnish it, i put gas in your car, food on the table, etc. so people are feeling the pinch everywhere. these republicans at that decan the bait and elsewhere need to lead -- debate and elsewhere need to lead that. larry: by the way, key word, you raised this earlier, affordability9. affordability has gone way downturn biden. just on the housing thing, you have 7.5% some odd mortgage rate. that is a big number. three years ago it was 2 2.5. 2.5%. i mean, right there, affordability. so wages going up, inflation going up faster, gasoline, groceries, etc., taxes all going up, that's an affordability issue which is then linked to bidenomics. this guy should do that. i mean, in the debate, i don't know, i guess there's a reason for the debate. we're going to cover the debate. at least they can get into --

they didn't the last time. they hardly talked about the economy or the inflation rate or bidenomics by name. what's your strategy? you should go and coach them. [laughter] i mean, the only guy that's doing it is trump. >> he has these policy videos which are great, which are free to make because practically, as opposed to rallies which are very expensive by the time you pay the security and geofence the audience, etc. this is much better because people are always looking at candidates and saying what a will you do for me, and i guess trump's answer is this is what i did do for you. so his answer's a little bit different in addition to everything else. but everybody with an r after their name should be out there pressing the case. and i want to say something to the young people out there. you favored joe biden last time by, like, 26 the points or 24 time in the midterms for the democrats. hook what you're doing. the kids are not all right. first, they were promising you you were going to get your debt paid for. that was unconstitutional from the beginning.

the secretary of education has no such power, the executive branch doesn't. now they're just up against not being able to afford everyday life, let alone their first home. and it impacts other things, larry. they tell pollsters i'm deferring, delaying or denying altogether marriage, parenthood, can't get out of debt, etc. quickly, there's a four-letter acronym, they're in my book, those four are how you beat joe biden x affordability's right in there. larry: coming back to the debate thing, it's important to develop this message of the failure of bidenomics and other policies, open borders -- >> of course. larry: i'm just focusing on bidenomics. you've got governor races, senate ray's -- races, you've got house races, up and down the ticket they have to develop these themes and try not to make the mistake -- they had open field running in the last midterm election. i don't think they took advantage of it. that's another segment. but i'm just saying one reason now if these are the party leaders on the stage the,

whether or not they're going to beat donald trump, they're speaking to everybody. >> yes, or absolutely. larry: you know? >> but i think iron should sharpen iron. i don't believe that the house members and candidate, senate members and candidates, governors, should delegate. because that's to abdicate the whole conversation about bidenomics to the presidential field. everybody should be talking about this because i think one will pond to the other. larry, the other thing is there's still too much woke. i mean, of course, none of us like it, but there's the still too much woke and not enough why we're broke in these conversations. i get the woke part, i really do, but in terms of real money and real impact, everybody sees the same polls. the economy's the number one issue. but if you just say the economy, economy is not a sentence, it's a word. it's not a policy. for some business owners it means thriving and surviving so that dereg goes down. for others it's, gee, i think joe biden killed the pipeline job out of spite, not out of policy ideology.

it makes no to sense. so somebody could say do you think putin was happy when our administration was selling energy to poland? larry: nope. >> probably not. it leads into every other thing, climb -- crime, the border. we've had 7 million people come over the border since kamala harris and her boss got to power. why is that relevant? that's higher than the population of 32 or 33 states in this country, just to give you visual context the. this all just has to be said. i know, larry, i know it's easy and sometimes fun to make fun of biden's obvious lack of acuity and agility and ability, but i want people to start listening to what he says. larry: right. that's a good point. it's a bernie sanders agenda, it's a radical agenda. you've been saying this, too much woke and not enough economy, you've been saying this for two years. the latest ti if ff poll, very reputable poll, the most important issue, 46%, economy. okay? i'm just going down the payment.

the 15th issue in the tiff poll is investigates of the trump administration. >> 8%. larry: 8 #%. >> hello. larry: gun violence, 28. immigration, 27. climate, 23. crime, 21. trump investigations, 8. okay? is so the gop has an opening. people want to hear about these other issues. >> if crime's at 21, gun violence is at 28 as you showed, people should realize that at lot of these districts, a lot of these cities are not prosecuting gun crimes. so i'm pretty sure if crime is up there and people are saying gun violence, they're not all talking about this, that or the other. they're actually talking about prosecuting people who are using a gun. it tells you something, and it tells the people who want to lead in washington and across this great country, larry, they should be listening to the people. the people should be leading them before they're leading the people. and on this biden thing, you know, he's become bernie sanders without the charm. you know, the guy is just angry.
