i'm liz macdonald and the evening edit starts right now. elizabeth: thank you for watching the show. bring in legal expert han and the new york post lost breaking stories all over the biden family corruption scandals. gentlemen, thank you for joining us. han, good see you too. what was your reaction when you heard hunter biden is suing the irs over invasion of privacy? >> this is just trying to distract the public and congress from his seasoner tax evasion -- serious tax evasion felonies and the statute under which they have filed section 6 has two very specific exceptions to the confidentiality of tax evasion and when certain congressional committees ask for this information and, two, there's a

specific paragraph protecting whistle blower when is they believe that tax information is related to possible misconduct. so they really don't have any basis for the lawsuit they file. elizabeth: yeah, what do you think of what hans just said, gary. the whistle blowers say this is another frivolous smear trying to distract from hunter biden's legal problems and house lawmakers call this witness intimidation. what do you think, john? >> you can't overstate enough how they followed a scrupulous procedure to disclose this information and we have a protected process. they followed every part of that process. this wasn't unauthorized leak like edward noted and once it was public, they spoke about publicly available information. it's all completely above board. it does strike me as an intimidation tactic. this is designed to not necessarily intimidate the current whistle blowers but future ones and anyone with information that could be criminal on hunter biden or help this case f. you come farred

makers say they're more than generous include ago 20% pay raise over the first four years of the contract and listen to why workers say that's just not enough. >> we used to be able to afford what we build. we can't do that anymore. >> we're not greedy. and our new hire, $17 an hour. would you live off that? could you? >> it's not just for all the workers and it's for workers all across the united states and that's being underpaid. that's what our fight is all about. reporter: several democratic law may recollects have come here to wayne, michigan, to walk amongst the picketers, shake their hands and tell them they support them. president biden says he is sending two administration officials to help with the negotiations here in detroit. he's also said that the auto makers are making record profits right now so they should share some of those profits with the workers. you think that would be a message that would resinate with the workers and the union as a

whole, but uaw president shawn payne said he doesn't want president biden's help. several members say we've got this and it's our fight and we'll handle on our own. treasury secretary janet yellen said it's too early to tell how great it will be and the auto makers are feeling the pinch from the strike and ford laid off 600 workers at this plant and general motors might have to idol a plant in kansas as a result of the walk yachts, liz. elizabeth: -- walkouts, liz. elizabeth: grady, thank yous. bring in former secretary nominee, andy putzer. andy, when you listen to the workers, you feel for them because we've got 17% inflation under biden and, andy, strikes may break out in the airlines

and talking american airlines, alaska and united and workers are striking at a pace not seen nearly a quarreler sen which you reigns leading -- quarter century, andy. >> the most self-proclaimed union president sitting in office. the real problem is inflation is hitting these workers pocketbooks more strenuously than at any time since the early 1980s. they just can't afford to buy what they used to buy. now they -- i will say the big three auto makers are offering, i mean, their start is a 20% increase in pay, which even with inflation at about 17% since biden took office, 20%, that's not peanuts. that's a pretty good offer. i think a lot of people would be happy with that kind of offer. they want 40%, and they want reduced hours. but i'm sympathetic to their need to get higher wages, but i think the auto makers are offering higher wages. elizabeth: what is this going to do to prices overall?

because you had ups warded off a strike with a big labor increase in compensation. you know, we understand that they're making more electric cars because of the white house electric mandates. those electric cars require 40% tuning forker workers but what they're asking for is more than doubling the labor compensation costs for uaw plants versus what you see tesla or nonunionized plants. >> it's going to have a real impact on the unionized auto makers, which is why a lot of the auto makers have moved to the southern united states where they can go to right to work states and they don't have to deal with the uaw. particularly over the 10, 15 years uaw has been really plagued by corruption. they've had two uaw presidents that went to jail so it's been a real mess for the uaw. this strike, this is life or death for the unions.

the problem is at the heart of this, they're aiming at the wrong target. i don't think their enemy are the big three auto makers. and they're willing to make concessions and want to work with them. their enemy is the biden administration, these climate alarmists and democratic party that are pushing the electric vehicles on the american people. there's not much demand for electric vehicles, but the administrations pushing it as hard as they can and as you said, it takes 40% fewer workers. so a big point in this strike is to get the workers who produce the electric vehicles to get them under the union contracts so that the union co-survive and move forward, uaw has got real problems and as i said, this is life or death for them. elizabeth: yeah, and they've yet to endure president biden is haven't done that yet. >> he's the guy pushing the electric vehicles and should be -- elizabeth: but the blue collar

seeing the writing on the wall. they're having trouble with their own constituents based on the border policies that have sent these illegal aliens right into their districts and they're not anywhere near the border. we saw aoc and many others getting screamed at and shouted down by people that live in new york city. they don't want to have to pay more taxes to take care of these people. they should be deported. elizabeth: so now we've got this too, democrat los angeles mayor karen bass at a recent panel saying she's fearful planes could start coming with illegal immigrants, but the biden white house has been doing that since 2021. >> yeah, clearly democrats really don't know the actions of their own leaders, do they. if they don't know the plane haves been flying illegal aliens all over the country for years now, then they really don't know what their party is all about our they're flat out lying to their constituents, but these people in california and new york, you know what, chicago and other cities, this is the effect

of sanctuary cities and these are democrat policies and they have severe consequences. elizabeth: congresswoman, i'd like to wrap it up by asking about the impeachment inquiry into president biden. what is the latest now? what are you hearing? >> so glad you asked about that i just came from our oversight committee staff meeting, and we are talking about subpoenas that we will be sending out going forward. we will be going after hunter biden, jim biden, devon archer, we'll be subpoenaing their financials. we are also going after credit card statements and a lot of other -- any kind of paperwork because we're following the money trail. following the money trail has uncovered mountains of evidence into the biden family crimes, and we believe that following the money trail leads directly to joe biden. elizabeth: so you're going to subpoena hunter biden, subpoena the banks for their financial records, is that all correct? and when you look at suspicious activity reports, what are the

dollar amounts we're talking now? more than 21 million? >> we're more than 20 million. more than $20 million and that came from actual bank records. bank statements where we could literally add up the dollars. more than $20 million have made it into the bank accounts of the biden family members and these come from wire transfers from foreign countries like china, romania, ukraine and many others into fake l.l.c.,s. they don't sell a product during a service and that money is directly to biden family members and nine biden family members. elizabeth: this will get worse and this is only off 170 suspicious activity report and house oversight and house lawmakers subpoenas. wow, it's quite a story. congresswoman marjorie taylor green. thank you for being back on the show. good to have you on. elizabeth: sure. have you been to the gas pump?

he's brian brenberg. brian, we love you. we love your expertise and how smart you are. brian, it's good to see you. i'm not just schmoozing. from where you sit, have you seen this before? we have a new cbs poll. three quarters of americans, they say biden is not physically healthy enough to be president for four more years. seven out of ten say he's too hold. plus, look at this, trump is in a dead heat with biden and more than half a dozen polls talking cbs, cnn, economists, quinnipiac, what do you think of this? >> that first poll you referenced about people thinking biden could make it through a second term. if you follow that out to the conclusion, what that means is people are almost certain that in his second term, there's going to come a point where everybody, the world agrees, he can no longer do his job and just ask yourself how would

aren't we in dark days now? when you see what's going on, the u.s. voter is saying wait a second, we don't like it and want it to stop. we want to feel secure. what the polls are saying, brian, they feel unsafe. what do you think of that? >> i wouldn't say we're in bright times right now, certainly. so if it's going to get dark, it's already pretty dark at this point. you know, you look at patchup between tram and biden and a lot happened over the past several years, but i think the reason that trump is becoming more and more popular is rising in these polls even among republicans is because people think back to the moment when he was at the helm and he was dealing with these tough issues and you may not have loved his manner, but the fact was you always knew he was advocating for america. whether it was foreign policy or economic issues, whatever it is, he was always pressing america's advantage and right now i think so many people say i wish we had somebody who i could be sure was pressing america's advantage in

kelly o'grady live in los angeles with the story. kelly. reporter: it's great to see you, liz. that's right, california is going after the big oil companies yet again saying that they are responsible for the damage brought on by climate change. the companies accused are chon, shell -- champion, chef -- exon, chevron, conoco and bp. it accuses them of knowing the link between fossil fuel and climate change for decades and they suppressed that and spread disinformation to delay action of any kind that would impede their business. this is seeking at creation of a fund to help the state recover from extreme weather events like fires and floods as well as a number of others including levying financial penalties for that alleged lying. yesterday california's governor newsom shared why he's going after the oil companies now. >> the climate crisis a after all a climate fuel crisis and they've been playing us for fools and lying sings the 50s,

elizabeth: joining us now, america first legal senior adviser ian pryor. ian, we had a federal judge block a school district in san diego, california. it wanted to force two christian middle schoolteachers to keep parents in the dark about their school children talking about changing their gender, b but the u.s. district judge said you can't do this and violating the teacher's constitutional first amendment rights and the teacher's rights on this don't stop at the school door. is this a game changer? >> it is. it's the first of its kind that we've seen and kudos to the teachers and the fact they're put in these positions and they have to choose between do i keep
