remember oil hit $70 we had a conversation that would go to $100, it is what we've seen over and over in markets that oil prices when economist say is nonlinear, once you get past $60 a barrel can jump over a hundred quickly. i think that basically the history of this is that you go up around $100 or $120, then the whole world slows down, the world economy, and as that slows down demand for energy goes down and then oil price goes down below $60, but we're at the front end of that which is a real challenge for the fed, they should be raising rates, the inflation data, and oil price data are saying the same. larry: that is the thing. economists like to say excluding food and energy, we look at core rate. the reality is, refined

people pay more, you can see this in retail sales data in august. the retail sales looks like they are strong because every was spending money at the gas stations. if you took out gas, retail sales are flat that is the story of america right now. and maybe the fed will say, well all that you know retail sales are flattening out because everyone is spending money on gas to ease off. i think that inflation luke at top line in august -- look at top line in august it will be 710th or something like that that not a place where the fed should pause, to me it looks likes '70s, comparing to '70s, up and down and then up, we're at an up point and fed is in denial now as they were in the beginning. >> interesting to see, do think that you j. powell
