here? tell me more. reporter: stuart, we spoke to randi wiengarten about this issue and the reason why is this is being heavily debated on capitol hill right now. congress passed title 9 to protect female athletes and equal opportunities to compete and sports and now some progressives want to expand that to include by-logical males competing in girls sports. do boys have a right to compete against girls in school sports, should we repeal title 9? >> trans rights are human rights. reporter: the house passed a ban barring transgender athletes from competing in sports that align with gender identity. but that bill is dead on arrival. preventing from instituting blanket bans on trans-athletes and exceptions to restrict them.
