>> we thought it would be a small expansion of the strike. we were wrong. there will be a strike starting at noon today at 38 locations across 20 states in the us. those will be parts distribution facilities for gm and stellantis. there will be no additional strikes at ford. that's because sean fain has said at ford they have made significant progress, they outlined the progress and the issues ford has moved on, specifically they have agreed to cost of living increases that were not there before. they agreed the tier system across the table, return to what it is like in 2009. the workers on the job, they agreed to the right to strike over plant closures, any plants going forward can strike and agreed to profit sharing.

stuart: major announcement on the ua strike came to us moments ago, the strike will be extended to 38 additional factories run only by general motors and stellantis. ford's factories will not be affected. ford has come to agreement on some issues with the union. lauren: they are serious about a deal, additional job security, the right to strike or close plants, enhanced profit sharing formula, reinstating call of the cost of living is the inflation, ford has agreed to that, gm and stellantis did not. stuart: they were saying the

to 2040 and eventually it will not be a thing. stuart: what does the climate crowd think of you? >> they are not happy about me pointing out these obvious things but someone needs to say that. it's not the climate isn't a problem but we are fixing it badly. gaetz is right. it's about innovation. we when you are saying the emperor has no clothes. >> i'm saying there are smart things to do. we should be doing those things which i'm not just about saying don't do this but do the smart stuff. stuart: bjorn lon berg, a welcome voice. the epa's own scientists questioned whether ethanol is more climate friendly than gasoline. what are they saying? lauren: the corn-based ethanol they thought would be better for the environment than traditional petroleum-based fuels and two years ago congress mandated its use but now they are not so sure. the epa' s science advisory board, a panel of experts say there are minimal or no climate benefits from substituting

ethanol for gasoline for diesel. stuart: bjorn blumberg is nodding his head. >> the benefit is it helps people in iowa. lauren: i was speaking to some oil people, it is legal and legitimate they are doing, spending this money to take the carbon and put it back in the ground. these small operators saying we can't do that because we don't have the money to do that because a private equity funds have pooled their investments from the fossil fuel industry but they say it's going out the other end, you are technically capturing on one end, redirecting it. stuart: i will break in and get into what ford just said. they are not being hit by extra strikes the way gm and stellantis are. here's the statement from the ford motor co. ford is working diligently with the uaw to reach a deal that rewards are workforce, enables ford to invest in a vibrant and growing huger, we are making progress in some areas but have
