pollties. i think it's a -- pol policies d that's cool for trump to do. speaking of bidenomics, interest rates and inflation are going up and the stock market is going down. finally we've all got a glimpse between senator john fetterman's bear legs and pranced around the senate and met with ukrainian president zelensky with the bear legs and ashley and same bear legs and same set of clothes he had on for the prior three days. now a bunch of senators want to restore the proper traditional dress code and fetterman and saving democracy if the house passing a funding bill and fully supports ukraine. i sure hope fetterman puts on his big boy pants as soon as possible. right now, he looks more hideous up close and personal.

d. eisenhower model. he was tough on the border, people don't see him as that but he was. we'll carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in american history. larry: all right, i want to focus on that. the eisenhower model because it's a very interesting historical subject. we talked a bit about it last night on the show. we did a little research on it. ike and his attorney general who i met when i was a young man, they deported 1.3 million principally, darryl, as you may know, mexicans and had the support of labor unions, they had support of mexican/american communities just because those people felt jeopardized by the illegals coming in, i don't know all the details there are to know, but that kind of deportation is going to have to happen if we're ever going to even begin to solve the problem that joe biden created and i just want to ask you, congressman, what'd you think of

reforms in whatever funding bill emerges. can you just real quick run that down for us. >> we want to restore many of the policies of president trump and the funding and requirement we attempt to secure the boarder and one of the challenges we need all, i repeat all of our republicans on the same side if we're passing that and within five of that and we've got to get to all of them and when we do, we're going to be able to send to the senate a no nonsense bill that stays within the agreed on budget and it's too large and at least it's a reduction and begins putting teeth back into this. it's not going to take the place of elected a president that will secure the border who considers it treasonous and that's going to take an election. larry: steve miller, let me come back to you and president tr trump there's going to have to

be an effort. we want to build the wall, restore the stay in mexico, maybe some kind of title 42 relating to drugs. i don't know, lots of things that can be done that you've been working on. the country has to understand, and i think there'll be support for this, steve miller, that there's going to be an effort for deportation because you've got now millions and millions and millions of people in the country. they're not all lawless but many of them are. they're not all terrorists, but many are. they're not all related to the drug cartels, but many of them are. they threaten the cities and the guy, you see what's happening in new york city and democrats are now running tail. they're deciding maybe the sanctuary city, sanctuary status wasn't such a great idea in the first place. the democratic mayor of dallas turned and reregistered as a republican but there's got to be some movement in the new administration for deportation,

steve miller. >> there's no alternative, larry. joe biden has admitted some untold number of millions of illegal immigrants into the country. the next president cannot let them remain here, stay here, bring their relatives and their families, have children, put down roots and become the next generation of illegal aliens for whom democrats are demanding amnesty. send a message to the whole world that all the people that joe biden let in are first in line to be identified, arrested and sent home. otherwise what happens tevin you seal the border for four straight years and first president coming in and agreeing with joe biden and agreeing with illegal immigrants and make clear to the world if you get in under a joe biden you'll be sent home under a donald trump. that's going to require a mobilization of resources, again, like eisenhower did and this is the going to mean

from comcast business. it's not just possible. it's happening. ♪ larry: all right, sure looks like interest rates and inflation are going up. stocks are going down. what's this mean? how long is this going to last? let's talk to ej anne tony, finance economist at heritage foundation and david bonson, managing director of the bonson managing group. this is interesting. he's a stock market expert and guru but i want to share with you that we had great kevin o'leary on last night, mr. wonderful, mr. shark tank. when rates go up, stocks go down. we're seeing the 10 year has gone up to almost 4.5%. and the stock market is losing ground this week. doesn't mean forever but means this week. i was very disappointed at the fed's meeting because i don't

think except for our reporter edward lawrence, jay powell never talked about inflation, oil, energy, which could be a more serious problem than anybody realizes and if that's true, that's target going higher and lots of interest rates are going higher and stocks going lower tomorrow. and the strategic petroleum and it's masking for a very long time and biden policies and buying votes. they're buying down. they're still 3, 400 million left and the peak was over 700 million and 357 million barrels left. think that was a key point? >> i certainly do. absolutely. again, now what we're seeing is

in place of strategic reserve being drained down, private reserves are coming down making up for the fact we're run ago deficit in terms of oil production. lyrics david, we're getting screwed by they're not our friends, opec+ and russia, saudis, iran, venezuela, and we're not prepared for it because we're not producing near capacity and not even remotely near capacity. >> i don't have a sin l good thing to say about opec+ or saudis but they're not screwing us and we have the ability to turn the production spigots up and biden goes and fist bumps this guy and asks him to do the production of oklahoma, texas, and other shale patches in mitigating circumstance to do. larry: they wouldn't do it. >> this economic nationalism cuts both ways. they've got to operate in their best interest and biden chose to give them the leverage when we had it previously. the thing i'd say about spr is they stopped taking it down last

december. oil prices stayed around 70. we're talking 65, 75 for months and they've recently come up 37% in seven weeks and i believe that has everything to do with the fact that they refuse to fill and back up at that low price. they made a huge mistake in not acting and filling in at that time. i will say, i don't think chairman powell should talk about isle because it implies that the fed can do something about that. bonn son alrlarry: this is the supply sie and stupid bidenomics fault. the fed will have to deal with it. the inflation rate is now rising again and it's principally because of energy. that may spill over into food. whether it spills over into other stuff, i don't know. in the past, when energy price haves spiked up, this is the

1970s problem particularly. and the fed didn't take action to offset it. they've so-called monetized or accommodated the oil spike. they did it and spread for inflation across the country and could get us into a lot of trouble and i wanted to hear jay powell say something about that, but he won't. kevin o'leary on this show last night saying he thought the fed's target rate was going to 6%. it's presently 5.25, 5.5. >> that's a pretty good prediction and as long as the treasury continues to borrow at the pace and interest rates go higher and they're a price. it's the price of loanable funds. well, the treasury is crowding out the loanable funds market right now because it won't stop borrowing trillions upon trillions of dollars and we've borrowed over a trillion since they suspended the debt ceiling. larry: one of the biggest buyers was the fed. they're not now.

>> this is funny, i put this in my commentary today, the feds now down $1 trillion in treasuries on the balance sheet and households up over a trillion but it's not apples to apples. i point this out to my clients. the fed is a noneconomic buyer of treasuries and don't care what the yield is. households only buy because the yields juicey. it costs more money. i don't agree on the six handle coming on the fed rate and the reason why is because i'm givine cynical than the fed. they're a political actor. no actor is going into an election year and going to 6%. they have to monetize physical and if i'm wrong, it's being an independent central bank. i don't believe they are. we cannot have the fiscal policy in the country without a fed helping accommodate that. larry: what's the outlook for the stock market? i want the non-rich to get rich.

about 125 million people iras, 401(k) and not the rich people and middle income people. middle class people and what's the outlook for the stock market? >> not good unfortunately. inflation fundamentally drives a wedge between previous asset holders and those that didn't have assets or cash savings or whatever the case may b. it causes things with stocks and real estate and those things appreciate and meanwhile the people that just had cash savings, that's losing value and we've create essentially an entire generation of americans that may never be able to own a home and save for a down payment, now it's not enough and home prices have gone up and lost value and interest rates are so high and have enough money for the down payment and can't afford the mortgage. l i asked you last time you were on, how high bond rates will go and you said over what period? >> that's right. larry: between now and the election and gone to 4.5%. that's a big jump. that's not good for stocks or

multiples. you are stock market veteran. what's your read on it now? >> first of all, it is not true. whenever bond yields go up and stocks go down and depends why bond yields go up. if they go up because of good economic growth and certain periods of the 90s, 80s and markets like that. real rates. larry: that's not the issue right now. >> no, the 10 year at 3.3% in april. that's not exactly ancient history up 120 basis points and up 38 basis point this is month. dow down 1.7% this week. not a big deal. larry: it's going to go down more. >> it very well could. not just about bond yields and that's the issue and long end of the curve and not the short end. it's the long end of the curve saying how long will they keep it there? maybe they don't raise anymore and hold at 5.25 when a lot of loans start to reset over the coming years and that take as lot of liquidity out and taking it out for months and months and

and the question i have for you, john, does the uaw understand this because they're talking about wages and benefits and i understand that, they haven't had a cost of living increase in years, but do they understand the root causes of this problem? >> they're sending texts back and forth how to extend the strike as long as possible and hurt the reputation of the goose that set the golden egg initially and struggling to make ends meet and take strike pay for weeks and it's hitting home and this is not a game. frankly, the biden administration really owes people an answer for how this policies have sent jobs to mexico and china and benefits

killed seniors are also cratering our economy and these are the types of things that people aren't seeing and they're not looking at clear eyed and we need to have strong relationship leadership in our offices across the country so we can make sure that we are not absolutely killing our economy and ability for people to earn an honest living. people want government to work and to not embarrass them. these policies are pushing our american tax dollars to china, building their middle class on the backs of ours and needs to stop. larry: congressman john james, you know where trump's going to speak? are you visiting with him when he speaks? how does that work? >> if i was invited, i would love to go. went to visit the picket line four years ago and plan on visiting very soon myself and there's another shut down that we need to avert and we need to cut this terrible out of control spending and we need to walk and chew gum at the same time and veteran who is experiencing a crisis and picking up on the crisis hot line and needs a dial
