vehicle. you could see rainbow bridge here. a border patrol officer was also injured. here is what happened, it involved explosion of a car, said earlier to be packed with explosives, now some questions about that. this was at entrance to bring, fire ensues, then the pair were driving in direction of canada from the u.s. we have an eyewitness account of that. >> it went airborne the vehicle began to turn sideways, and under something overhead, and then it hit something over there my prayer was please teen let the officers get hit, then black smoke, no explosion, we heard the people in building heard it. metal on metal, then, i saw black smoke. and then fire. reporter: so, we're getting information now in from mcadams our reporter at

fox, she says she talked with two high level law enforcement sources they believe two men in a stolen car were trying to cross into canada, they started driving eradically and went ouch on median to avoid the officers this is why they crashed. sours tell her that bomb tech said that it was so big and fierce, that all of authorities thought it was a terrorist attack. it is still being treated as a possible attack. as airport and government buildings were shut down there. i just. to add that the -- all hands on deck, buffalo officer of fbi is leading the investigation with local and state law enforce. canadian law enforcement and situation is still fluid, we're looking for more facts, prime minister trudeau weighing in saying 4 border crossings are closed and additional measures conti contemplated.
