you ever so much. for much more on this let's bring in general keith kellogg, former national security advisor in the trump administration and afpi center for american security co-chair. keith, thank you very much. it seems like, i know we're striking back, we, the biden administration, it seems always too little too late. it took a day to come back at it. what is your read right now? >> yeah, larry, thanks for having me. the administration is really risk-averse. they keep talking about striking but really tit-for-tat strikes. if you want to break this cycle, we saw this when we were in the white house together, you have got, the term i use is super escalate. you have to take it to a level the other party the iranians or houthis are uncomfortable with. you don't necessarily have to go into iran to do it. very clearly the houthis are in violation of international law, freedom of navigation. they're attacking the gibraltar eagle which was a u.s. owned
4:38 pm
cargo ship as well. so what you can do, if you really want to send a point, you actually target the leadership of the houthis. there is one single leader, abdel al houthi. he is spiritual, military, economic leader. he is a single ton. if you basically say we'll take him out, he is clearly somebody that needs to be taken out. unfortunately this administration, the biden administration withdraw the terrorist designation that we had put on them in the previous administration. they need to put that back on them or the second if you want to send a message to iran, they have got a spy ship that is sitting in the red sea that is monitoring all this traffic, that is going to and from the red sea. it is the bashad. it is sitting there anchored in the red sea, send it to the bottom. this is what we're going to do. you don't necessarily have to go into iran to send a message, there are other ways to do it but you have to accept the risk that entails. before when you and i were in
4:39 pm
the white house we had an administration willing to take a risk. we knew the consequences. we prepared for the consequences. this administration won't do it. because of that, larry, you're going to see this continue, tit-for-tat, back and forth with no resolution of this conflict at all. larry: well, keith kellogg, if the bidens took out this iranian ship that was transporting weapons to yemen, okay, i like that, frankly. my other thought is, why don't they interdict oil tankers, for example because they're breaking the sanctions? in other words, let's get them where they hurt the most which in at least some sense would be the money? i mean we've allowed them to get all this money from oil sales to china and so forth. if you're going to interdict, i mean i don't know all the details. it happened today. but it sounds like a good move and a relatively tough move. why not go the whole nine yards?
4:40 pm
>> well, larry they should and they should have these courses of action already given to the president. you know, that's, when you do a military operation they have what are called branches and sequels. this is what you go, what you do next and they should give all those options to the president but here's the rub, this president is risk-averse. he is not going to do it. we know that. the pattern has been set. it's a bad pattern because your adversaries see this. by the way so do your allies. that is the reason under prosperity guardian we're supposed to be protecting the red sea assets, both italians, spanish, french, said thank you very much we'll go our own way. they don't believe he will do anything that is that dramatic. should he? absolutely. will he? no. larry: general kellogg, last one, i am sorry i only got 30 seconds, why is the biden team, biden white house telling israel to throttle back. israel has not accomplished the mission which is to totally
4:41 pm
destroy hamas. why is the white house telling them to throttle back? >> goes back to being risk-averse. my recommendation of them is just shut up, sit down with the israelis handle it. they're doing a good job with it. leave them alone. they have to eradicate hamas. hamas is a terrorist organization. they are the ones who started this fight but the israelis finished the fight. larry: general keith kellogg, as always sir, thank you very, very much for your input. switching gears let's go back to iowa. somebody said globalists are shaking and quaking in their boots after donald trump's blowout victory last night. joining me now is monica crowley, former assistant secretary of treasury, host of the monica crowley podcast and alex marlow, editor-in-chief of "breitbart news," author of, breaking the news. alex this is the top of "breitbart," i love this. the globalists are scared to death, the davos crowd is scared
4:42 pm
to death and china is scared to death around europe is positively beside itself donald trump might be back. what do you make of this? >> we're having a blast at the "breitbart news" room today. we start our day at "breitbart," we start every day at "breitbart" reading the global times in china and they're saying prior for trump. biden might not be as strong opponent. the main obstacle for trump to overcome between now and election day is the courts. it is not even joe biden. you head over read what is going on in europe. the belgian prime minister in the presidency of the council of europe he is saying europe will be on its own when trump comes back, which is huge misinterpretation of america first shows they're panicking. they're deeply concerned right now, globalists over there. they're in a total panic, repeating msnbc and cnn talking points. we can't get enough of it. larry: me too but, monica crowley, it is interesting, i
4:43 pm
always liked the fact that they have a lot of fear of donald trump. his diplomacy has been actually very constructive as you know as well as anybody but the same thing with ronald reagan. they feared ronald reagan. they said he was a cowboy, might do something crazy might press the nuclear brought ton but that keeps them on their behind legs if you will, keeps them moving backwards. i say it is a good thing. >> it great, i congratulate the voters of iowa. >> the voters of iowa began the snowball like we'll see we saw in 2016 the american people state by state voting for donald trump to stand up to these kind of globalists, transnationallists, people who head up organizations totally unelected unaccountable bureaucrats in the world economic forum, the world health organization, and want to impose
4:44 pm
their will on the united states. donald trump states america first. his voters say no, not us, not the american people and not the united states but they're extremely frustrated. they prefer the weak president along the lines of joe biden for example, because he is so much easier to knock over and just railroad with their globalist agenda. >> well, alex marlow, i'll tell you what, this world group that runs davos, okay, they're the ones that like open borders, they're the ones who have bought into all of the john kerry global warming, whether it's correct or not, i mean those guys ought to be afraid because is an america first guy as monica just said. he is not a world government guy. he is not a hague guy, world court. he does want peace and prosperity throughout the world. it just has to be done differently. >> yeah. it is just a threat to their power structures they have been
4:45 pm
spending decades, half a century crafting and it is deeply under attack throughout the world. i talked with president trump about this last time i was in him mar-a-lago, his movement is global movement. every time democracy actually happens these days seems like people are voting for nationalists, conservative, traditional candidates with conservative economic values, the type of stuff you talk about on your show, larry, we write about it on "breitbart." not the stuff they're talking about it at davos. people are rejecting that. letting the people flex their democracy, we have election day, voter i.d., people show up at the same time. who are they voting for? they're voting for donald trump by majority vote. larry: in droves. monica, just 30 seconds. mexico may have gotten a wake-up call because mr. trump's views on the border are very well-known and the last time he basically said to mexico either you help us, stop this, "remain in mexico" or i am not
4:46 pm
going to let you export cars and machinery or anything else? >> tariffs. tariffs and i know you were anti-tariff but you came around. larry: if you have to, if you have to. >> particular i with lard to china use as diplomatic and economic weapon. tariffs are very effective. they get the attention ever your adversaries and at lies, in case of mexico. they get your attention. they force policy change to protect the united states and american worker. that is what donald trump is all about, alex marlow, monica crowley, thank you very much. coming up steve forbes will score congress' new tax plan. it is not all bad by the way. growth? yeah it has some growth in it. we'll talk about it with the great steve forbes. i'm kudlow. stick around. quicking in their boots, that -- quaking in their boots that globalist crowd. quaking in their boots.
