biden saying trump supporters are garbage. can you tell us about this? what laws could have been broken? >> well, there are many laws. look, this is another black mark with respect to transparency in the administration. not only is this administration not transparent, they're just flat out dishonest. they lie to the american people, they do it on a regular basis. they have covered up, they have obstruct thed, and they have spread disinformation. this is not legal, to change a transcript to to correct the mess that joe biden left behind. we have seen this time after a time again, and stefanik and i, if we keep the majority, we're going to continue to press forward and try to get some accountability to all the mischief and wrongdoing of the biden administration. elizabeth: yeah. we've seen this white house accused of altering transcripts in the past multiple times. chairman comer, thanks for joining us tonight. a pleasure to see you again. >> thanks for having me.

"usa today" out with an opinion piece, biden calling trump votes, quote, garbage fits a mold, a long track record of democrats insulting to opponents. what do you make now of mark cuban saying women around trump are dumb and weak? >> yeah. well, elizabeth, it's really bizarre, isn't it? it's -- the closer we get to the election, the more crazy and the word slinging that's going on. one of the things that that caught my eye in the mark cuban snippet there was looked like he was speaking from his private airplane? and president trump was speaking from the a garbage truck. so who do you think is really reaching out to all of us out there? but again, my point is, you know, you would think this campaign would be talking more9

about policy, practices and what we're going to do the for the american voters out there rather than this mud slinging. so what happens, in my experience, when people lose control of their thought, they get angry, they start saying things that are inappropriate. and i think that's what we see on one side. and what's happening on the other side is they're really capitalizing on this, on this incendiary comments that are out there. and, you know,, president trump is a natural, taking advantage of these things. he looks like he's having way too much fun -- elizabeth: yeah. he looks like he's having fun, and, yeah, we've got news coming in. show what "the hill" newspaper is reporting, that democrats, mr. nardelli, that democrats and campaign insiders are starting to point the fingers at harris and her campaign over messaging. notably on the economy, that people are, quote, nervous. they're trying to cover their ass right now and get a little ahead of election day. they even blame the fact we didn't have a triggal process for the selection, we --

their ballots for him in this election because they want a secure border, they want a president who's going to protect them and their family from illegal immigrant criminals, and they want a president who's going to put more money in their pockets and restore the american dream for their children. and i am also one of those proud women who works for president trump and is proud to vote for him. and i know there are many others across this great country. shame on mark cuban, and kamala harris needs to come out and condemn these remarks. elizabeth: yeah. no apologies, nothing. what do you think, tammy? [laughter] >> what's fascinating for me here is every now and then you get the curtain pulled back. a remark like this is not just done out of, you know, the air just hike it's an accident. this is the -- like it's an accident. this is a message or at least a trial balloon by the harris campaign. and what it is, my having come from the if left, is their shock that women are doing their own thing. we are not conforming, we are not being -- we're not doing what we're told to do. and this is how they keep their own constituency in line, that you are going to be ma if lined

meredith is standing by. he's been doing great reporting on the ground there. he joins us live in asheville, north carolina, where hurricane helene devastated this town. it's awful what's going on. mark, good to see you. >> reporter: liz, good to see you as well. you're right, hurricane helene has an ongoing devastating impact on the people here in western north carolina. the state is putting the death toll at just over 100 people, but you would not believe the destruction still here. this is a food chain that's going to have to be completely leveled, debris as far as the eye can see, and there is so much work ahead of the state. one of the biggest jobs at this moment is ensuring people can vote. today we got new joyed of a tent voting site being being set up in flag mountain, north carolina, just about 15 miles from where we are. the idea here is people will still be able go vote even though their normal polling place won't be operational. they're going to move in some of the materials they need on monday ahead of election day. and locals tell us they are similarly just so thankful this

is being made available to them so they can exercise their right to vote. >> to us and to the elderly folks on the mountain, many have lost their homes. they've lost their vehicles. they're in bad health, and this just gives them a little bit of hope that their vote is going to matter. >> yep, it's going to make it a lot easier to get out and vote, for sure. >> reporter: both major presidential candidates are going to stop in north carolina one more time before election day. today vice presidential candidate j.d. vance, he also on the stump urged north carolinians to keep the economy front and center before casting their ballot. >> and so the average north carolina family is about $29,000 poorer because of kamala harris' inflation. now, they didn't see that in an irs bill, but they saw anytime their groceries bill, their rental bill, their car payments. that inflation is a hidden tax on american citizens. >> reporter: while north carolinians have had to deal
