mcconnell leaves? >> listen, i'm going to listen to all the candidates the election is scheduled for next week. i went to see a majority leader who changes how the senate operates in. who democratize is it more. in particular i've told all three of the candidates i want the next leader to agree to a full and open an amendment process. when a budget gets on the floor you are not given 2000 pages that you cannot change at all. each senator has the ability to say no, take the garbage out. take that garbage out without fundamentally change how the senate operates. and at this point i'm waiting to see if any of that leader candidates will make a commitment to allow those full and open amendment. maria: you think florida senator rick scott has a shot to become a leader? >> of course i think all three of them do. rick is a good friend, john cornyn is a good friend, jon the thune is a good friend. i am hoping we have something that happens rarely in the senate a real or robust conversation. i want to hear from each of them directly what is your vision for

how this place operates? mitch mcconnell i've had disagreements with how he has operated for a long time. he has basically behaved as a one-man dictator. i don't think we want a leader who does that. i think when we win in november and i believe will see a really good election but i think trump is going to win. think were going to win a republican senate and a republican house. when that happens we've got an enormous work to do. when that happens here is what's going to happen. we will secure the border. we will cut taxes and extending tax cuts. we are going to end the regulatory assault on small business sent in an oil and gas. we're going to end the war abroad. israel will defeat hamas. to do that is going to take republican standing together being focused at the task on hand and having an effective leader is a very important part of that. maria: kamala harris has two completely different messages when it comes to the war on israel. what comes what she says in pennsylvania where she appears to be talking to jewish voters. where she says i'm going to make

sure israel has the right to defend itself. that compares completely opposite to what she is telling voters in michigan when she says i am going to ensure there is a cease-fire and the hostages avert gods are released. it's a completely different message on israel. what do you believe kamala harris' leadership will look like on israel? >> oh well, kamala harris is lying to people in pennsylvania. and we know that because she's not just some random person off the street. she's been the sitting vice president for four years. kamala harris and joe biden have been the single most anti- israel administration this country's ever seen. it's interesting when she did 60 minutes interview she was asked who's the biggest enemy americans have a question what she came back with iran which is a very good answer. bizarrely enough a 60 minutes did not follow with the obvious response of well then why have you given them a $100 billion? why do you allow them today to sell 2 million barrels a day of

can't trump supporters garbage to mark a cubit saying trump has ever it was smart and intelligent women. it seems like kamala harris is trying to walk it back as much as she can. the message has been about attacking trump throughout this campaign as opposed to articulating real policy. what are you thinking and feeling about the presidential race right now? how does it look to you? >> you know, i think and i've been saying this president trump is surging right now with people these low propensity voters. hispanic voters and some of these in battleground states like nevada and arizona are surging in favor of president trump's platform. when you are talking about going to affect everyone not just presidential but down ballot. we are in luck. we will have the house, the senate and the white house. if that happens it's going to be a great day for america and the

next day. maria: 10 about the policies resonating here. in a few minutes we will talk with the mayor of hamtramck, michigan. a democrat mayor who is an arab american and says trump's policy is what is resonating with him and his constituency. you talk about the hispanic but vote with facts about black men as well. what specific policies do you think they are attracted to these very much democrat stronghold groups? >> right now number one being the economy. when you are trying with the various parties for example jewish americans are muslim americans with president trump it is because of his peace perspective foreign policy in the middle east. we are fighting right now kamala harris ascending at two very different messages under her watch for war and chaos in israel. i think people right now want stability i think they understand right now financially we are not winning as a country.

but also when you look at what's happening with the un- vetted illegal immigration i have talked over 60000 voters in my home county of pinellas county. talk to independents and democrats. democrats that registered that were new to this country they simply do not think it's fair you have people walk into the southern border and causing chaos in our country. i think these issues right now people showing up to the polls independents are showing up in record numbers. if people shop which i would recommend vote early i think we are in track to win this thing. maria: i am surprised at the polls and how close they are given that we keep hearing about president trump cutting into these democrat stronghold. do you believe the gop can expand the majority and the house while also flipping the senate? >> i think it's going to be tight. i think some of these races in new york and some of the more blue areas that are dominated by a legacy media that they are pushing for example the fake

news narrative about liz cheney. we know trump never made those comments. but again people sometimes want to believe the rhetoric they see. i think it's going to be tight in some of these areas. as long as my elected members of congress stay true to a messaging and continue to talk on issues president trump has been addressing i think we'll get a lot of independence. maria: we are going to talk to james comer and just a few moments the chairman of the oversight committee. you are a member of that committee. what do you want to say about kamala harris and tim walz. others in underestimation with tim walz's ties to communist china. >> is not just communist china got busted for giving taxpayer dollars to a corporation that's hiring migrant children to clean slaughterhouses. when you are looking at the message and the finger-pointing the democrats tend to do and you realize if you check under the hood, they are the ones guilty of exactly who they are accusing

us of. i think it's obviously very alarming. you look at what he said about being in china and we know he lied about that too. it would be no surprise if there were any connections there. maria: the investigation into joe biden we have not heard a lot about that. is that in the back seat at this point now that he is no longer factor? >> you know, unfortunately think so. obvious it is up to the chairman's discretion. i note comber has been on to him about his family ties congress needs a pass logit legislation it does not happen again. what was house influence peddling. you know we tried to go after american garland it's our own party that tried to block that. i believe if you were going to write the law you should be held to the same standards of the law. it is not fair joe biden sold his position. maria: what about securing the boat we will talk to lara trump about that coming up how much confidence do you have to we will see a secure election

>> we have worked really hard over the past like seven months since michael walkley and i've been chair and cochair to ensure election integrity. i have come on the show probably everyone's tired of hearing us talk about election integrity because we've done at nausea. it is so important. the foundation of our country is to trust our electoral process. coming out of 2020 2020 many pee did not feel confident that if you voted in the united states of america your vote mattered and your vote counted. we have done everything in our power i think what 136 lawsuits now during the course of this election cycle chimp things like making sure you don't have noncitizens on voter rolls. cleaning of voter roads you don't have dead people are people who moved out of the state. asking for a parity of poll watchers and poll workers in these locations all around the country. we have tried to set things up successfully heading into this election season. we are 48 hours away from what i

maria: is a been a game changer since you took over along with michael whatley in terms of following up on some of these issues that people have questions about and want to ensure a secure election. tell us about where president trump stands right now i saw a recent nbc poll showing president trump is doing better with the women then kamala harris is doing with men. explain that for us too. >> let's repeat that for the audience. donald trump is doing far better with women then it kamala harris is doing with men. that is huge. that is why the alarm bells are sounding over on the democrat side. wonder why they had the white dudes for harris event? they know the men are not turning out in the numbers they need for a win on election day for kamala harris. likewise you look at african-american voters who made a significant shift to vote for donald trump it is pulling right now better than any republican candidate in modern history with african-american voters.
