it this point they are heating with caution and this could be the closest senate race in decades in michigan if not ever. as of right now, about 98% of votes are in a democrat a congresswoman, elissa slotkin has a lead on mike rogers. this race in the senate certainly is going to come down to the 2% of the vote that is outstanding. i spoke with mike rogers the day before election day and he thinks if trump wins michigan, he feels good about his chances too but this race hasn't been called in michigan for donald trump either. from the data we have so far it seems trump has outperformed rogers which means there could be split ticket voting or people who voted in the presidential race who sat out on the senate race. as far as the issues in michigan, by far the top issue is the economy according to our

fox news voter analysis but in the detroit suburbs this is something we've been following closely in early voting in the days leading up to election day. the war in the middle east was a key issue as well. for michigan voters who listed that as their most important issue, 58% of them sided with trump. and what will turn out to be a shocking upset, in the city of dearborn, donald trump according to the unofficial results from the city actually won dearborn, the trump campaign is targeting arab americans who live in this part of town and seems to be paying off. this is a city that president biden won with 74% of the vote in 2020 this time around it looks like donald trump is going to win dearborn. stuart: that is something else again. kim strassel, democrats brought

50,000 votes. the kc people, bob casey, the free time democrat incumbent, sees a path, but outstanding in philadelphia, it does flip that adds to montana, ohio and west virginia, flips and makes the senate all the more red. speaking of balance of power, the house balance of power, two potential flips in pennsylvania, too close to call but republicans leading in the seventh and eighth district where a democratic incumbent now sits. i would say a pretty good day for the trump folks and republicans in general. i will leave you with another potential winner in pennsylvania, the governor of pennsylvania, josh schapiro might be happy this morning he didn't wind up on the ticket. stuart: maybe the outcome in pennsylvania will be different.

they go away and those are the federal cases. state cases, georgia, a longtime delayed case because what is litigated is whether fani willis can stay on the case. the oral argument whether she can remain is not until december. that is a wild legal theory, sprawling, that may never come to be. we will see. that will take a long time. the state case in new york, the stormy daniels case, business records, judge meerchon will rule on immunity. stuart: is it possible he could be sentenced to prison? >> i have a few thoughts on this. on the immunity case next tuesday he will rule. on the one hand, he could say trump is in the and because of the supreme court decision and

it gets tossed out. it would give him a way out. on the other hand it has become a personal passion project of his which i'm not sure he's inclined to do that. i don't think that immunity applies and that case because most of what happened was before he was president. but then, assuming he rejects the immunity argument, the sentencing is still set for the week of thanksgiving. donald trump obviously is a first-time nonviolent offender in new york city and we know how new york city treats people like that normally. and it is possible the judge either reduces the sentence or doesn't sentence him at all or a variant of that and even so there would be constitutional issues because now that he is president, he wouldn't be able to go to prison even if he wanted hymns -- stuart: trump's legal problems are just about gone. >> most of them. stuart: thanks for joining us.

is this a political realignment in america? i think it is. i think the republican party is the party of the working class and the elites are but the democrats. liz: we've seen that in all kinds of surveys, the growing income americans have been pro trump and high income americans have not been. educational divide. college grads tends toward kamala harris whereas people who don't have college degrees going towards trump. this has been misjudged by the democrats. kamala harris and joe biden spent four years trying to forgive student loans. all these people who voted against them don't have student loans, they didn't go to college and a great many of them who did actually paid back their own loans, working hard to do it. there's been a real sort of misjudgment by democrats about how these party alignments have shifted and border policy i would point to is another big goof on their part because who is hurt by unlimited immigration? lower income americans who find

their jobs taken, their schools overrun etc. . big miss and i think this is permanent. blue one do you think americans voted for change? i don't think harris -- liz: all of the polling show, we heard it during the campaign voters wanting to know more about kamala harris and how she was going to change things and unbelievably, when she had an opportunity to address that being asked on love you what you would do differently she couldn't come up with a single thing. if you take one comment of hers that broke the campaign, that was it. on the one hand, 70% of americans think the country is going in the wrong direction, a candidate says things are just fine. lauren: she said i will fix it. to be the change candidate. stuart: harris should have had a better answer for the question she knew was coming at her.
