right now, that news is, to say the least, a lot to digest. elizabeth: okay. the media a reaction to the today. voters now in a stunning turn-around saying the media is out of touch with america, the media has been in a bubble, in the minority, the media's now in the minority because they've been misleading americans for years. we're going to talk to radio host jason rantz. he's going to react to that. plus this story -- >> we did not expect this result, but we are prepared to respond to this result. we face this challenge -- faced this challenge before, and we used the rule of law to fight back. and we are prepared to fight back once again. elizabeth: okay. nobody in new york is sure what she's talking about. nobody in new york is asking for this. that's attorney general letitia james, doubling down on going after trump after she tried to

bankrupt trump right as jack smith is about to be let go from the justice department. the update on all of that is and the lawfare attacks. fox news' legal analyst and author gregg jarrett is here to take it on. voters across the nation said, enough, stop the lawfare. but first, this: this was, trump is saying, the greatest political movement of all time, nothing ever seen in this country. you're seeing a live shot just before kamala harris conceding and saying, yes, i will peacefully transfer power over to trump. vice president harris chose not to talk to her supporters last night. she instead delivered her concession speech earlier this afternoon, just moments ago, after trump's stunning victory. fox news eye jacqui heinrich joins us live in washington. we give a warm welcome to her, she's a terrific journalist and reporter bringing you the headlines you need to know. it's nice to see you again. >> reporter: nice to see you too, liz. you know, these results really were known by top officials inside the campaign last night.

as early as around 11:00. but the vice president waited most of a full day to come out and concede. she did thank president biden, she did thank tim walz, she did talk about her phone conversation with president-elect trump s and she also did choke up a little bit. listen. >> the outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for, but hear me when i say, hear me when i say the light are of america's promise will always burn bright. >> reporter: a couple of times she choked up a little bit. but, by and large, it was a strong concession speech. she struck positive tones and said they'll continue to fight this at the ballot box in future elections. but while she was choking up, some democrats have been owning

up to this outcome. congressman richie torres posted: donald trump has no greater friend than the far left which has managed to alienate historic numbers from the democratic party with absurdities like defund the police or from the river to the sea or latinx. others, though, are not looking in the mirror. obama's former campaign manager who joined harris' team after biden dropped out blaming biden for if digging harris so keep of hole that she couldn't dig out of it. and also ro khanna said that incumbents all around the world have been losing because of structural issues like the economy and inflation, really not looking at the democratic party being out of step with focus. but jen o'malley dillon said in a a letter to staff, they blamed the loss on headwinds and obstacles largely out of our control. we knew this would be a margin of other record race, and it was. democratic sources really take issue with that. they say this was not a margin

of error race. trump actually ended up doing a sweep here, and so they've got some conversation among high ranking officials about whether or not the campaign was being honest about its prospects. but harris closed with this message of hope. take a listen. >> on the campaign i would often say when we fight, we win. but here's the thing, here's the thing, sometimes the fight takes a while. that doesn't mean we won't win. huckabee. t it's great to see you. of so what do you make of this? he wins -- did you expect in this? he wins the electoral college, the popular vote, 95% of all counties in pennsylvania? he's only the second president since grover cleveland to win nonconsecutive terms. we haven't seen that since 1892. >> yeah, this wasn't a comeback, it was a resurrection are. and it was a powerful one. he might be called president lazarus after this. but i'll tell you what he said last night that was so very important for people to take in. this was not just an election about donald trump, this is a real movement, a genuine movement and a complete realignment of the political class. it was a pushback to the uniparty, deep sate the elitists that have -- state elitists that have pushed themselves over most of america for so long. and people were just fed up with it. and they're tired of democrats and some of these republicans who only care about their own globalist interests, and they care about their making money, and they didn't care that what

he were doing and their policies were destroying jobs in this country which means they were destroying families and households and small communities and farms. and finally are, people had enough. and donald trump was willing to carry the banner. he's done it brilliantly. he put together a coalition of people that most naught could never if happen -- most thought could never happen. it's an overwhelming vote of support for a different kind of political future, and i, for one, or or couldn't be happier about it. elizabeth: let's show the facts we found a his victory. show the world leaders congratulating trump. he's poised to win all seven battlegrounds can, he won over suburban bombs, a greater share of the under-30 vote than any gogop candidate since 2008. harris underperformed with suburban women, moderate voters, even 18 to 19-year-olds. she's on the track for the worst performance in new york city since 19832. here's the thing, obama swept

into office with this kind of a coalition saying come join us, come with the cool crowd, jump up on the obama train. people -- trump is basically saying you are us. you are part of us. we have a big tent. who would have ever thought that big tent would be flipped away from the democrats toward republicans? >> it's been a brilliant with campaign by the president, and i think what people need to remember is that this is authentic on his part. this is a guy that that didn't have to run to validate his own rife. -- life. he didn't even take a pay he can when he was president, four years in. but we have a different kind of future in this country because of donald trump, and i think it bodes well for america and for jobs and fors prosperity for people not just at the op to, but at the bottom as well. elizabeth: governor huckabee, great to have you on again. good to see you. >> thanks. ♪

america great. elizabeth: brian, it's like minorities, millennial, even suburban women voters, they are rebuking obama and biden, they're rebuking kamala harris, they're rebuking the media. trump has a big tent coalition. we're talking the, brian, college students, union workers, nurses, janitors, firemen, cops, doctors, lawyers, women, what do you make of media and the far left accused of being so out of touch with what's going on in america? >> liz, they are out of touch to. since 1980 there's been a process going on up here in detroit, the uaw members have been grewing more and more republican -- growing more and more republican since reagan ran in 1980. about 65-70% of the uaw represented autoworkers voted for trump on tuesday. has been a going on for a while, and i think it may have kind of peaked now because there's certain people in the uaw who will probably never if vote for a republican, but we've got a

solid majority in there now, and last week president trump flew into detroit, and i had the privilege of riding in his motorcade with them. and we went to a largely muslim community, and he got endorsed by the mayor of the town, and he gave a beautiful endorsement. and since then the mayor of dearborn has also endorsed donald trump: and there's really a coalition coming together here backing president trump -- elizabeth: interesting. >> i think it's only going to grow over the next four years. elizabeth: to, p-rae, given this new big tent coalition, it's a rebuke against obama, biden, against kamala harris and elitism, that they've been out of touch with their elitist behaviors and thinking that celebrities were going to pull in voters. p-rae, if you were to sit across from the three of them tonight, the what would you want to say

correspondent chad pergram joins us live on capitol hill with the latest. chad, it's wonderful to see you again. thanks for joining us. >> reporter: liz, good afternoon. after 24 hour9 of bad news, some good news for democrats. fox projectses that democratic michigan representative elissa slotkin will defeat republican mike rogers in the michigan senate race. that's a hold as democrats keep the seat of retiring senator debbie stabenow. democrats also hold the seat of tammy baldwin in wisconsin, right now republicans could have as a few as a 522 seats or as a many as 55. the 3 outstanding senate races right now, nevada, pennsylvania and arizona. senate minority leader mitch mcconnell is pleased. >> yes. think it was a referendum on the current administration. in part. people were just not happy with this administration, and the democratic nominee, obviously, was a part of it. >> reporter: in the house there

a threat. and i think it's insulting the people -- to people who want information and can make their own decisions. elizabeth: okay. that was an undecided pennsylvania voter in the keystone state really letting the media have it. she voted for trump because she said the media is a threat to democracy, twisting and distort thing the truth and information. joining us now, seattle talk radio host and host of the jason rantz show, jason rantz comes to us again. when you heard that, jason, when you saw that sound and heard it and you saw trump's victory, is this a wake-up call for the media? because there's been a relentless stream of hysteria, panic and identity politics, anr eight years from the media. >> whether it is or should be is the question, right? because i think it should, obviously, be a wake-up call for these left-wing media outlets. they very clearly are out of touch with the average american. they hang out with each other,

they all think they're heroes. they talk about how much smarter they are than everybody else. and so they can never quite understand why someone might not immediately listen to everything that heir telling us and lecturing us about -- they're telling us. but i don't think they're going to learn a lesson, and that's the problem, right? even today concern not just last night, but today, some of the rhetoric has been so, so over the line. and while i would hope that they would start to moderate some of the rhetoric just a little bit and maybe catch the lessons here, i just don't get the sense that they're going to do it. and so, truly, it's going to be up to consumers like that woman you just played to just stop tuning in, stop reading all of the stuff coming from the radical left. and that's the only way you're going to truly be able to send a message that they need to figure this out. elizabeth: you know, your point's well taken. now the media's starting the blame game, joining in on why trump won. they're blaming pelosi and biden

press dent for our country, and it's got to stop. and i think he'll stop it. and while he might be justified or even tempted, he has repeatedly reiterated that his focus is going to be fixing what joe biden and kamala harris broke, improving people's lives economically, ending the cycle of crime and violence and illegal immigration, stopping the fentanyl and, you know, the terrorist gangs. i don't think he's going to be dwelling on punishing his enemies -- [laughter] though i would certainly be tempted in doing that. but two wrongs don't make a right. just because they did it doesn't mean that he should do it. elizabeth: you know, so the justice department is reportedly about to let go jack smith, winding down smith's cases against trump. that's pretty much pro forma when a president wins, you know? this is -- jack smith for more than a year tried to the jail trump before the election. politico reported biden complained a.g. garland was not

moving fast enough. do you think judge chutkan lets this go? >> well, i don't think she's going to have any choice. with trump's election victory, the two federal cases against him are over. the classified documents case in florida already dismissed by the judge there, and the one in washington with judge chutkan, that's already stalled because of the supreme court immunity ruling. but now it will be dismissed because it's longstanding doj policy dating back to 1973 not to indict or actively prosecute a sitting president. and jack smith, special counsel, he's not going to stick around anyway. he'll resign before he's fired by trump or the new attorney general. his staff will be out the door. so the lawfare game, liz, is over. it backfired spectacularly on democrats. they thought they could weaponize the law, knock out biden's opponent.
