everybody, stu, take it away. stuart: this is nvidia day, considered as important as a jobs report or or inflation report, nvidia has been running up lately. if wall street's expecting spectacular results today, better not disappoint. that could turn ugly. politics, two more cabinet picks. heart surgeon and tv personality mehmet oz to run medicare and medicaid, linda mcmahon will run the education department. lobbing good on television is a -- looking good on television is a theme that, looks good on several awe appointees. matt gaetz and pete hegseth will be introduced to to some skeptical senators. trump wants recess appointments to avoid lengthy senate confirmation hearings. meanwhile, the influence of elon musk just keeps on growing. he took the president-elect to see the launch of a spacex rocket.

gabbard. but that's why we have a confirmation process, and it's going to to move if forward. stuart: he's going to get what he wants largely. do you agree with that. >> largely, but i think he might if not get, i think he might not get gaetz. i don't think that gaetz can get senate confirmation. so i think he may have somebody fall, but i think largely he will get nominees that he wants. too. stuart: got it. getting back to this, trump and musk, they were together to watch the spacex launch in texas. musk has become one of trump's most trust advisers. is there a conflict of interest here? musk's companies do very well now that he is advising the president. >> yeah. well, first of all, you were playing rocket man at the start of this. i think kim jong un is a little jealous -- [laughter] to be his best friend. [laughter] but, or look, this is the greatest partnership between a president and if an inventer since george washington and ben franklin teamed up over the american revolution.

donald trump is putting elon musk in charge of the doge which, whose job and is to cut spending, cut regulations, restructure the government and make it more efficient. people say that's an impossible task. i would a take the guy who who made a rocket that can not only take off, but land and put him in charge of that and give him a chance to do it. i think it's a great partnership. he is an out of the box thinker. this is a guy who's creating self-driving cars, when's trying to get, actually, a vertical lift off an electric jet right now, and he wants to colonize if mars. this is the kind of thinking to you need if you want to revolutionize the american government. i think it's great. stuart: do you think the relationship will hold for any length of time? >> you put the world's most powerful guy alongside the world's richest guy, they're both volatile characters. how long does the relationship last? >> i think the it will last. i think it's good. we have to keep in mind no one

elected elon musk, they elected donald trump. there's going to be areas where they disagree, and when they co, it's going to be trump who comes out op on top. he has a way of bringing in people who disagree with him and being magnanimous and bringing them in and listening to them and listening to their advice. not always taking it, but bringing them into his circle. sue south you just love politics, mc, i can tell. >> i do. stuart: so do i. mark teaseen, come back soon. bitcoin, that's been on a tear since trump's election win. more new highs yesterday, and this morning we've got it at $94,500. how much has bitcoin gainedsome. lauren: other $20,000 a token or more than 30%. same for ether ooh too. you're looking at what's close to an all-time high. it makes that $100,000 target no longer seem mythical. this could happen any day now.

i'm going to give grow two catalysts today. one will be that the president-elect is personally invested in cryptocurrency on that report that his social media company is in talks to buy that crypto exchange, and then senator cynthia loomis says a u.s. bitcoin reserve could start right -- the moment after trump is sworn into office. so automatically 200,000 plus bitcoin in the u.s. reserve and, obviously, other countries would have to buy to compete. stuart: that's why it's making record highs. check futures, please. where are we now? all in the green. not by much, but all in the green. thomas hayes joins us this morning. he's covering the market for us today. let's start with nvidia. they report after the bell. what are you expecting? >> nvidia is priced for perfection at around 40 times earnings and 40 times sales, so let's hope their earnings come in as hot as their blackwell chips which are melt ifing the the data centers. refuted in. >> well, the information that had -- the company's telling them the realign the chips in the data centers so they don't create so much heat. while it is priced for perfection, there's a good chance they pull it off this quarter. the key is going to be the guidance moving forward. new implied -- but implied volatility is -- stuart: what's that? >> it means the amount that the stock is expected to move on earning, that's going to be a $300 tobillion swing east up or down on a $3.6 trillion stock. stuart: what do you think's going to happen? have you got an opinion? >> look, we don't own the success. i think it's priced for per februaries. there was a time when you owned nvidia and the multiple went down as the stock price went up because the profit margins kept going up. the profit margins are no longer going up, is maybe they eke out a couple more quarters of tock growth, but i think at the the end of the days the quarter wily revenues only growing 4 billion

which is amazing, but 40 times sales, it's t not in our wheelhouse. stuart: so buying today would be a risk, indeed. don't answer the question. we always -- you've been hot on small caps. >> that's right. stuart: tell me what is the best small cap etf for our viewers to out there, many of whom are interested in this sec sector of the market. >> i think the easiest way to play is as a basket which worked very well after the election and into 2017 is irk wm, the russell 2000eff. -- etf. we like to own some individual company, but i think that's to an easy basket for people to get involved. stuart: that's the ishares russell 2000 index, iwm, okay. tom, thanks for being with us. thank you very much. we have good, big news coming from our global adversaries. iran is expanding their stockpile of nuclear fuel, that's ahead of trump's return. retired general jack keane has more on that.

stuart: all right. before the market opens,s we see futures pointing up for the dow, up 60 points, minor gains for the s&p and for the nasdaq. president-elect donald trump continues to build out his second term dream team, i guess you could call it. rich edson joins me now from west. palm beach, florida. what's trump saying about a his latest picks, rich? >> reporter: well, stuart, that his picks are going to overhaul the federal government, and he's sticking by the choice toes that he's already made, even the controversial ones. that includes congressman matt gaetz, his selection to lead the justice department as attorney general. the house ethics committee is investigating gaetz for alleged sexual misconduct and illegal drug use. some republicans have acknowledged the it's going to be an uphill climb to get gaetz through the senate. vice president-elect senator j.d. vance is bringing gaetz around the north side of the capitol today to meet with skeptical senators while in brownsville, texas, yesterday trump said he is not replacing

matt gaetz. >> reporter: mr. president, are you are reconsidering the nomination of matt gaetz? >> no. >> reporter: there you have it. trump is building out the administration. he says dr. mehmet oz is his choice to run medicare and medicaid. oz is a celebrity heart surgeon who unsuccessfully ran for a senate seat in pennsylvania in 2022. he says he'll nominate wrestling executive and the former head of the small business administration linda mcmahon to lead the department of's -- of education. and howard lutnick to commerce. hut mix is trump's transition co-chair and the' owe of can -- and the ceo of cantor the fitzgerald. treasury is a spot we're still waiting for trump to announce. part of the hold up is trying to find a candidate who can combine the issues of being pro-tariff while also calming the markets. stuart? stuart: thank, rich. or -- thanks, rich.

biden has approved sending land mines to ukraine, the second big shift in policy just this week. house foreign affairs committee member congressman cory mills joins me now. congressman, are we maneuvering to give zelenskyy a position of strength before any peace talks? >> i think what we're actually doing is, is we're escalating the conflict as to opposed to trying to deescalate it, varney. if you think about the recent approvals to try and launch hi mars and atacms into russia, that's not exactly a way to deescalate the situation. but also the president has actually changed his policies on many things. it was last year that he had approved cluster munitions banned by over a hundred nations because of the dud ratio that results in additional civilian casualties, that being farmers or who run over cluster munitions that may have not gone off or even children or others who mace mistake it for toy it is or other things. if it's not properly markedded, you're going to have additional

civilian casualties, not to mention the additional cost whenever you have the go through a demining operation after the conflict. stuart: this seems to be a lot of movement around ukraine now that trump hasen on who. he's had impact on this war already. >> that's exactly right. look, a lot of the world leaders have reached out to the president, have talked about how they can actually get things to improve whether that be through trade, commerce or stabilization. we also saw, varney, where you had hamas who's actually now willing to have discussions on ceasefires. you're going to see where the houthis are going to be relisted on the terrorist designation. you're going to see the world itself and even china, you know, or we've got in this geopolitical axis of evil of china, russia, iran and north korea. they're all taking notice that weakness that invites aggression under the biden administration doesn't exist under president trump, so we're to going to see a lot more deals being ma made to try to advance peace as well as expansion of the abraham accords which i think is a

monumental peace that's boeing to help with stabilization in the middle east. stuart: let's take a look at the deep state. the fema administrator testified about the worker who skipped homes with trump signs after hurricane milton. listen to how the democrats framed their questions. roll it. >>s it is very important to say that if someone thinks that a fema official's coming to their house to take their house away, that's a situation that could be escalatory or potentially become violent over something that's not true, correct? if. >> correct. >> it's been reported that there were unprecedented levels of harassment and threats leveled against fema workers. we are invited to focus on one so-called intermittent employees in florida whose team encountered what he called political hostility while canvassing door to door for fema in florida. stuart: congressman, they seem to be revealing disdain for trump supporters. that's the way i read it. >> well, it's also discrimination as you saw. i mean, we've got or femas which

is weaponized. they were being discriminated against and not getting necessary if care. look, varney, i spent 11 days in western north carolina and saw devastation like i've never seen before, dropped 23,000 pounds of supplies, dozens to of search and rescue missions as well as medical evacuations over to johnson city, and not once did i see fema there trying to support. we continue to see weaponization, stuart. we saw it from the department of injustice who was utilizing law lawfare against political opponents, obama had weaponized the irs, you're seeing fema if who's utilizing good and best practices the avoid homes that seem to have been supporting president trump which i think that you could actually looked at that as almost voter suppression in some ways because they're trying to to insure their focus was on trying to recover, not get ott ballot box. we need to know where's the money that was being allocated

stuart: all right. three minutes til the opening bell, and we've got some red ink. a shah ghailani with me. i know you're bullish going to the end of the year. i know you expect new highs. my question, shah ghailani, is there anything on the horizon that you think could derail the trump rally? >> probably a couple of things, unfortunately. one of them would be a more serious dust-up between ukraine and russia, if some missiles get fired i think deep into russia, i think that would cause some pushback and perhaps serious escalation there, that could be a problem for the markets. the other thing, stuart, is if interest rates work their way hire. you know, we're looking at 4.5% on the 101-year treasury. if we get above that and we're looking like we're heading towards 5%, i think we'll see some profit taking. i don't see that happening right now, that that's why i think we have a clear runway to go higher. stuart: what about nvidia? if pure speculationing, just suppose they really, really

disappointed this afternoon. would that affect the entire market? >> yes, it would. nvidia is the most widely-held stock in the world. so, yes. an awful lot of profit's on the table. stuart. if they disappoint, i think investors will look the take profits, and the stock could see probably a harsh pullback which, to me, would be a buying opportunity. stuart: what are you actually expecting? >> i'm expecting them to post out of the park results, just absolutely fabulous are. it's going to be about how investors interpret those numbers and what they think about forward guidance. but i think the numbers should be phenomenal, as they have been quarter after quarter after quarter, and i don't see a reason for the stock to pull back. if it does, it can be very volatile when it comes to earning reports. it can move very quickly, it can move the market, and we're facing that again today to. stuart: that's what i'm expecting.

when the computers read the headlines,, the algorithms kick in and all hell can break loose. it's almost like a sporting event, watching these big earnings reports at 4:00 in the afternoon. [laughter] you never know which way they're going to to go. suddenly, it bursts and it's all over the place. bought the end of the day, you think this is a spectacular, good report, correct? >> i do think so. and, again, the numbers are really good, then we're going another leg higher in the market. stuart: do you have the stomach to buy now, before the earnings are released? [laughter] >> no. i certainly have a decent position in nvidia, family owns, firm owns, but for now i just want to see what happens because, again, the volatility the around this earnings report can be pretty ugly. stuart: okay. everybody, you can watch this on fox business this afternoon. shah ghailani, thank you very much, indeed. the market is now open. they're ringing the -- no, wait a minute. they're ringing the bell, they press the button, now the market

is open. we've opened to the upside on the dow in the very early going, a fraction of 1%, .13%. look at the s&p 500, please, that is down ever such a tiny fraction, .002%. i'll call that dead flat to slightly lore. and check the nasdaq out, please. where's that opening up? it is down .1 is 11%. so in the very early going you don't have that much movement. .11%. how about big tech in we've got a mixed picture or there. we do have apple and meta up. a couple of retailers reported before the bell this morning. good morning, taylor. >> morning. stuart: start with target, please. whatever they're doing, investors didn't like it. >> shares are down 18%. they missed on third quarter expectations, guided lower. analysts basically said the boycott of 2023 hasn't stopped, that customers still have not come back in the door. really a profitability miss,

profitability upside is still well below covid levels and the path here back to growth really is uncertain for this company. stuart: huge loss, 17%. that's the worst day in two and a half years, i believe. tjx, parent of marshalls, tj maxx. >> pretty good report when you think about it. stu, or this is a story of international growth. who knew, right? europe showing big strength for this company. overall same-store sales are up 3%. if you still like bargain hunting, tj maxx is the place to go. stuart: nvidia covers after after the bell. what are you hearing? >> i'm going to give you one simple word. most analysts are saying if you want this path to $4 trillion market cap, today is the day that this kicks off. if they can blow it out of the water, that $4 trillion market cap isn't far out of sight. stuart: it's about 3.8 at the moment. >> yeah. stuart: okay. programming note, liz claman has

strategy hit a record high, they bought bitcoin to put it op on their balance sheet. monday they did the same thing. they issued convertible debt in order to buy bitcoin on their balance sheet. as bitcoin goes up, micro strategy goes up. the average price is about $50,000 for bitcoin, so heavy just watched their balance sheets assets double by doing nothing. stuart: next question is about google. if they're forced to sell their chrome browser, how much would hay get for it? >> one analyst is saying it could fetch about $15-20 billion which is huge given that chrome has about a 3 billion monthly active users. this is, for some people,s the crown vile. -- jewel. so, again, if it happens. and that is a big if at this point. stuart:s tesla, it's been on a roll. but i understand that the chair of the board of directors sold off at least some of her stock. why did she sell it? >> about $35 million, and it was a preplanned schedule that he

had set up back in july. she sold it, filing had about november 15th. but, look, luck and timing is everything. given the huge runup that tesla had after the election, certainly the timing paid off. but i don't think there's anything nefarious here given that it was preplanned going back to july. stuart: show me uber, please. i think they've got some plans for the thanksgiving holiday. stuart: are -- >> you traveling to the airport? stuart: no. >> if you are, there's an, and xl -- xxl, so basically a huge, huge car can which uber thinks is going to be helpful given that we're all traveling to the airport with lots of suit cases is the and luggage. they have set up about 600 airports, 40 in the u.s -- 60 toairports, 40 in the u.s.es where you can get xxl cars if you have lots of luggage. stuart: i never check baggage. one bag, that's it. that's my rule. here's something i'm really

interested n weight loss drugs. how many employees or -- employers are more employers paying for weight loss drugs? >> if you're an employer with over 5000 employees on your books -- 5000, 40% of you are covering those the weight loss drugs. they're a part of that health care plan. 5000. it's a big gain -- 500. more employs thinking if there's an obesity problem or diabetes problem wants this to be covered on the books, so they're doing more to cover some of this stuff. stuart: netflix. another all-time high just the ore other day. i think it is now, actually. somebody's suing them over that boxing match, what's his name, jake paul and mike tyson. >> remember when we came on monday and we were talking about how good the match was but how bad the streaming was? if you finally have the first lawsuit, coming out and saying this is a full breach of

conflict given that netflix effectively breached hair conflict to stream it and given how much glitches there were that he feels wronged. so this is the customer saying i'm going to sue you. we'll have to see, i'm not a lawyer, i don't know if glitches are breach of contract, but he seems to think that he has a claim. stuart: it wasn't a great fight either, but let's not get into that. house. edward with, what does lutnick if mean for the trump economy? >> reporter: yeah. well, it means he's a china hawk, so the tariffs will be supported under the commerce department. the ones that do come9 out of the commerce department. the president is picking people who share his vision especially with the tariffs and corporate ab taxes, and the transition co-chair, howard lutnick, will keep those section 20 to 1 tariffs come how of there that the trump used in his first term on chinese washing machines and solar panels. lutnick will be part of a larger economic team. a big part is the treasury secretary, still up in the air. of sources tell fox the president-elect is looking for a pro-tariff treasury secretary. another name back in the mix, senator bill hagerty. he flew with trump to the spacex lawn of. last night. his name has been added to others like scott bessent, mark rowan and robert lighthizer. kevin leery believes the president-elect wants to -- kevin to theory believes the

trump's -- financial officer says trump's tariffs could lead to price hikes at wal-mart. which items could see price increases? >> good morning, or stuart. thanks for having me. maybe manager that your viewers may not all -- something that the your viewers may not all know about two-thirds of what we grow or sell made or assembled here in the united states. a large part of our portfolio is here, and that continues to expand. we have open call events every yahoo! where we invite entrepreneurs to pitch new items, so we're excited about things that are happening here in the u.s. over the last seven years, we've been operating in an environment where there have been tariffs, and our purpose, our job is to try to keep price as low as possible. so we have a team of people that are working on these issues all the time. right now we don't know exactly what's going to happen. there's a lot of speculation, but we'll to do everything we can to ensure that we work with the administration and our suppliers -- stuart: let me just jump into this.

>> sure. stuart: you can see tariffs coming at you. you can also see a likely port strike in january. how are you preparing for that? we're told that some people are stockpiling inventory to prepare for these possible problems. is that what you're doing? >> well, the tst pretty early in the -- t pretty early in the season, so we're thinking about the holidays that are ahead with thanksgiving and then the christmas holiday. it's uncertain what may happen at the ports in the next couple of months. yes, there's a date out there, januaryth. we had a slight shutdown, as you know, just a few weeks back, and we managed our way through that, and we'll continue to do that. what we would hope for is the now of goods, the supply chains keep moving. these supply chains, they're really complex. a lot of moving pieces anytime. so when goods are flowing, it makes these more predictable and easier for customers -- stuart: but are you stockpiling in advance of what's coming at you? are you stockpiling? >> well, we're not changing

anything at this point in in terms of the way that we're purchasing. we look at seasons, you know, about a year in advance. so we'll plan out the holiday seasons about a year before they happen. this spring coming up we would have poland out last season. so we've concern planned out last season. we've made the decision on the quantities that we're going to buy and the things coming outside of the united states, those goods are all in motion. we hope that we can maintain fluidity at the ports and the ports keep flowing because we want to be in stock for our customers if online and in stores. so if the ports keep moving, that would be great for consumers. we've had a few year wheres of higher inflation. we sit here today slightly inflated in a couple of food categories, deflated in general merchandise. we're happy to see that consumers are roughly paying what they were a year ago, and we want to continue that trend. it's important for our customers across all income groups to find value when they shop at wal-mart. stuart: real that fast, if you don't mind, 30 seconds left.

stuart: judge juan merchan has yet to rule on trump's sentencing for his criminal conviction. prosecutors urge him to consider postponing sentencing until if after trump's second term. as i said earlier, i think that's ridiculous. eric shawn joins us now. they're going to spin this out forever. >> reporter: judge merchan now, we're waiting for that ruling anytime on what he's going to do. yesterday new york prosecutors said the case against the president-elect, well, they say it should not be dismissed, but alvin bragg says the sentencing could wait. it'll be 2029 plus. trump was set to be sentenced next tuesday on 34 felony counts of falsifying those business records to hide payments to stormy daniels during the 2016 presidential race. but trump's spokesman saying, quote, this is a total and definitive victory for president trump and the american people who elected him in landslide. the manhattan d.a. has conceded that the witch hunt cannot continue, he said.

but bragg has said that the president is not -- being president is not grounds to drop this case. he says the weight of the office must be considered saying in part, quote, no current law establishes that a president's temporary immunity from prosecution requires dismissal of a post-trial criminal proceeding. you know in july the supreme court ruled that presidents are immune in federal if prosecution for official acts. of prosecutors say trump's a pay airs were -- payoff as were private actions. his lawyers saudis missal is necessary under the constitution and federal law to facilitate the orderly transition of executive power and in the interest of justice following president trump's victory. a few minutes ago the district attorney was addressing a crime conference here in new york, and we asked him if trump is above the law and and bragg said this -- >> what we said in our letter is that we have significant competing constitutional issues.
