9:01 am
from the fox studio in new york city this is "maria bartiromo wall street". maria: happy we can look into the program that analyzes the week that was in position you for the week ahead read i am maria bartiromo, president-elect donald trump staffs up his second administration at a record pace putting pam body in place for ag within hours of. >> each dropping out. hoping to quickly confirm his cabinet nominees and kickoff whose agenda on day one in two weeks time trump has made over 30 appointments denominations including where the dozen cabinet level positions it is triggering a liberal meltdown. >> trump is asking the republican senate to confirm the worst cabinet nominees in history. >> i think they're looking to essentially shock and overwhelm the system. >> i'm halfway between the fetal position, depressed it enraged. >> let's realize we are in the chaos again and here it is it is just beginning.
9:02 am
maria: alabama senator tommy tuberville warning his republican colleagues against party infighting over trump's pics pushing senators to stand against democrat fear mongering. >> where are my democratic colleagues, the media and establishment losing their minds over the highly qualified nominees, the media will do everything that he can to keep america from getting back on track. >> senator tuberville joins me right now, it's great to have you the left seems to be more accepting of trump's pick up pam bondi. what is your take on pam bondi for attorney general and what is your observation of broadly speaking about trump pics. >> this is an all-star group compared to what we had to go through confirm the nomination when joe biden came into office this is a no-brainer we have a lot of great talent on the republican side, president trump has put months and months into
9:03 am
picking this group, matt gaetz goes on him, pam bondi is next in line. she'll be good and known her for a long time i was in a hurry not too long ago she is america first she believes in donald trump and she will work very well with them side-by-side she has experience, eight years in florida without that time governor rick scott, senator had controversy in terms of handling tough situations like trayvon martin trial i'm very confident and pam bondi she will come in and clean the d.o.j. up. we have to start there it is a disaster in the department of justice. maria: why because it was politicized. >> yes everything is weapon ice we have seen the up close and personal. if you do something or make a statement they will come after you with guns blazing, merrick garland came with a chip on his shoulder because he wasn't confirmed in the supreme court
9:04 am
he was a perfect person because they knew he had the chip on the shoulder. he came after everybody in the republican party and came after president trump he's going to go is the worst ever attorney general because he wants the constitution and pam bondi is a constitutionalist she believes in the country in the constitution. maria: let me move on to the new department, elon musk and vivek ramaswamy putting out details of the doge plan to put out government waste, some your democrat colleagues seem to think government efficiency is about the here is senator elizabeth warren. >> what he is talking about doing to trillion and dollar with financing like taking away social security in order to give more billionaires. >> where you propose the cuts start. >> i propose that billionaires get back the money that they are not taking in giant tax cuts. maria: let's be clear, vivek
9:05 am
ramaswamy and elon musk and said nothing about social security. elizabeth warren is talking about cutting into social security and no one has discussed that at all, what is your thoughts on the pushback of the new department of energy the department of efficiency. >> fear mongering elizabeth warren throws it out there, would be great to be democrat where you don't have to worry about overspending and borders in crime you just do whatever you want to do and blame it on the republicans at the end of the day, this is the best thing that president trump has done to this point of putting these two in charge of going after fraud and overspending and oversight, look at the military, seven autos that have not passed, we gotta find out where this money is going probably $4.7 trillion that common to the bank every year from the taxpayers of this country and we spent 7 trillion. we cannot continue to spend $2 trillion a year that we bring
9:06 am
in and we gotta cut back, medicare and social security are not going to be one of those it is about fear mongering they will bring up any subject to point republicans that are doing the wrong thing for the making people. maria: in terms of paying for the tax cut do you expect that tariffs will be included as an offset? >> i talked to president trump about quite a bit about getting growth back in this country, that is the only way that we ever pay this debt down on the tariffs are going to be one part but the big thing is getting manufacture back to our country and putting people back to work where they have good jobs, good paying jobs in the taxes that they pay on that goes back to the federal government. it's only way we can do this we cannot go out there and tear of everybody in think that's going to make ends meet. we will have to put people back to work and we have manufacturing coming back in i was in the office with the company out of australia and
9:07 am
they said we are moving one of her big manufacturing plants in the huntsville alabama three or 400 jobs, it is somewhat president trump has already made a huge difference, he is not even been sworn into office, they say undersea was happening in a country. >> using companies even adversaries get in line ahead of his return to the white house, i would get your take on the america first energy policy, that is set to make a comeback under trump who is going to set the keystone pipeline under day one the 1200-mile project was halted back in 2021 by president biden on his first day in offi office, it would deliver more than 800,000 barrels of canadian crude oil to the u.s. every day if completed trump's new picture energy secretary chris wright calling a cornerstone of energy dominance, do you expect us to have a big impact on the growth that you are referring to. >> people don't need to expect me obviously when they close this pipeline down and they knew
9:08 am
it was going to knock back a couple of years you have to have inspection to put people back to work and new permitting all of those things have expired. it is the thing to do we have to keep the big trucks off the roads into get in there at a cheaper price that's what president trump is looking at, he will do the start giving permitting backup for fracking and drilling, we need to do everything that we possibly can as another way we can pay our debt down is to be able to have plenty of oil and gas and sell it to people across the world, not just us but people across the world are neediness we need to put iran and russia in their place knowing right now they are making billions of dollars off of us not pumping oil and gas. maria: we will leave it there and we will watch your work, thank you for joining us as we can. >> thank you. >> tommy tuberville, another wild week on wall street, jason trennert hey, get your head in the game, son. the scout from football college is up in the stands.

really hard to feign the fact that you have pretty easy fiscal policy, the fed is easy to monetary policy is easy and there's a lot of excitement when we talk to clients about regulatory easy than the financial and energy sector under trump administration. and that's overwhelming with what concerns i have about trade. it is really hard to get bears between now and the end-of-the-year markets are not cheap but if the ten year treasury yield stay below 5%, 4.5% it's really hard to favor the rally etiquettes were to continue. where are people placing their bets this is an etf based on the macroeconomy. >> it's called sam t strategic opportunities fund it is focused on artificial intelligence obviously that may be more

warning of price hikes of trump's proposed tariffs plan goes into effect, what is your take on tariffs to come. >> i think president trump's take on tariffs is a pragmatic one. which is to say we have to take care of her own people first and we have the biggest ship in the game and the united states with the u.s. consumer. there's no reason to negotiate that either way with the idea that we are citizens, no other country would do that, the u.s. is been doing it a long time with the goal towards peace which makes a lot of sense but it's gotten too far and i understood why this company does not want tariffs, the same token there is a responsibility that the president has to look out for all americans not just big businesses. tariffs are necessarily inflationary if there are other goods that we can produce domestically.
9:16 am
i think again president trump is very pragmatic view on this which is to say we want to get the best deal for american businesses in the american consumer. i think what they be more inflationary on tariffs will be greatly overwhelmed by the cost savings in terms of government and lower compliance for businesses. i'm not particularly worried about it. david: what about bitcoin, should i buy now. that is a taffy, the reason why it is rallying is because the trump administration and coming trump administration is made it clear the negative regulate out of existence which is not the case of the prior administration, biden administration who saw bitcoin as a threat to the u.s. dollar. this administration does not mind competition for the u.s. dollar, it could be beneficial to the extent that it leads to
