here's how the market is reacting, not so much the trump ringing the bell but current conditions, we are up on the dow industrials 25 points higher, minor losses for the s&p and the nasdaq, the nasdaq hit 20,000 yesterday at an all-time high coming back a little today. the yield on the 10 year treasury is up 4.30%. the price of oil, $69.62, bitcoin is moving up 101,600. again for bitcoin. lauren: what is the cleanest trump trade in your opinion? stuart: that is for sure, that's the markets and now this. i know this is anecdotal but i've noticed people around me are feeling more positive since the election. there were plenty of down in the dumps democrats but i saw a

lot of smiles, relief, people have a spring in their step and in the five weeks since the election we watch the transformation of government which of voters approved. fox asked how do you feel about the election out, 54% said they are more hopeful. asked how the border will be under trump a majority said it is more secure. cnn showed 54% expect trump to do a good job when he returns, all of this is a real switch. we were told to be afraid of a second trump term. we seem to be enjoying things. some democrats are trying to lower the temperature. senator fetterman is the first to give cabinet nominees the time of day, the media is not quite so hateful and look at the parade of executives eager to cozy up to the president-elect.

schools and the democratic party close their ears to the best ideas they need to fix new york, and when it comes to public safety. >> we need to restore meritocracy. and we need to focus on the literacy crisis in our schoolsr education to public safety, we need to have a solid education so children have a path of opportunity and don't wind up -- stuart: the key thing is meritocracy. gets you to move up, not egalitarian system where everybody is the same. >> we need equal opportunity, not equal outcomes. stuart: to me, daniel penny was a hero. what say you? >> hundreds of thousands of new

york city school children, we need the city and law enforcement to make sure our city, subways, streets are safe and kids and people vote can be on the subways but when that doesn't happen and a young man who honorably serve his country steps up to protect people, he deserves praise, not prosecution. stuart: they are trying to bankrupt, there's a civil suit to take money off of them. >> he has been well advised and needs to defend the case and explore all of his options, the way daniel penny has been treated by our and bragg is a shame. stuart: i get the sense that things are changing in new york city, there's a lot going on here these days and we got the congestion tax coming and what else is happening in the city, the congestion tax, governor hochul with a buying scheme, the healthcare ceo murder and

mayor eric adams possibly becoming republican. seems like the city is in a state of flux. >> it is and that presents good opportunities for the best policies to come forward and we can reject the bad policies particularly in public safety. we saw changes, the bail reform laws that made bad choices for new york city. it is a moment to fix the mistakes of the past. stuart: the election is next year. what is the early indication? >> from the support from people thus far i think people are keen to have a change and looking to get behind the campaign and ideas forward. stuart: bringing in any money? >> we've already started and we will have an official kickoff in january. stuart: what about a primary? >> so far no but you never know what will happen. stuart: you are running as a republican so there's no other republican running, no primary.
