stuart: 3,000 miles and stretches through 8 states, two connecting provinces, 58 peaks. we are back to come to a close. it has been a great day. we saw trump we are in "the opening bell" at the new york stock exchange walking the floor, and adoring audience of traders. he will meet with jeff bezos at mar-a-lago next week. top executives, and adoring audience at the new york exchange says a lot. after all it is a trump rally on the stock market. time is up for us. coast-to-coast starts now. neil: we are focusing on donald trump at the stock exchange. last sitting president who was there was ronald reagan in 1985. they can hold that against you when the market goes into a
12:01 pm
severe correction. a couple years after ronald reagan was there in 1987, other presidents after that time avoided the floor of the stock exchange like the plague. they couldn't attach blame or credit either way but the trump rally is on, donald trump being there meant a lot to the folks there and doesn't edward lawrence know it. >> reporter: the second time donald trump rang the stock exchange bill. for this term the president more focused and starting his agenda before he gets into office. in the crowd on the floor of the stock exchange, huge names in the industry including james frazier, bill ackman, donald trump telling the crowd he wants to make america business friendly through incentives. >> we will create the incentive theory again.
12:02 pm
i announced yesterday, anybody investing a billion dollars or more gets a very expedited approval process, tremendous incentive like no other country has. we are going to cut them substantially, down to 20 one%, now we are getting them down to 15 but only if you make your product here. otherwise you pay 20 one. it is in the middle of the pack but 15 brings you lower. >> reporter: the incentive of a lower tax rate presenting companies to move manufacturing back to the united states. the goal to reduce regulations is flying the ic relationship with business leaders. meta's spokesperson confirmed meta donated to the trump inauguration fund a few weeks after the meta founder had a dinner and meeting in mar-a-lago. facebook and instagram band trump, they have reversed that
12:03 pm
decision, he says that amazon founder jeff baize owes will come to mar-a-lago for a meeting with him. neil: tim anderson was there, what he made of the moment. how did it go? >> a great moment. the floor was electrical despite the fact not nearly as many people on the floor as when reagan was here in 85. i must add that george w. bush while president was on the trading floor during his presidency but not for the ringing of the bell. neil: there's this lore that with ronald reagan in 85 it was another couple years before we had the crash but kept sticking it to him after the fact, barely walking the floor and doing this stuff. the fact is crashes and corrections, no matter who is president.

going into 2,025, a market buoyed by what they think will be very good things for them, for investing and capitalism. >> no doubt about it. the market has had an incredible run all year and accentuated that as many people gained confidence trump would win the election and since the election. a lot of people question can we have a third strong year in a row and certainly some things would have to fall into place for that to happen. the market is not cheap. it may be the the of 21 or 22 but it is not in bubble

territory like it was before the 87 crash when the pe market in 20 and 8. neil: sorry to jump on you but that was the first time we had extended years of 20% plus from 1994-1998. is this one is two years into 20% gains for major averages but what do you make of the environment right now. a little nose bleeding here for multiples but not obscenely so and not markets narrowly moved on for years with such multiples but what to do you make of it? >> one of the things that has to happen for the market to have strong performance again next year, a lot of this rally
12:06 pm
has been supported by initially the ai revolution and the idea of what ai might be come. we don't know yet but also expectations as to potentially significant advances in productivity and the one of the things that has to happen for of a market to appreciate that is we need to see the users of ai, the storage for it but the users that have been buying chips and putting it in their systems hopefully by the middle of next year you will start to see some of that translates into significantly better productivity.
12:07 pm
that will helpful market, and a high level of earnings, and those companies. they fear might be extended. neil: they are signaling problems. that stokes the ai thing. what do you make of that? >> that stock had a tremendous run. they talk about individual equities. and and they had trouble getting through. all time highs.
12:08 pm
in this big revolution, and meaningfully higher productivity, they spent so much money on it. they put chips into some of their manufacturing process. one thing that you may start to see, may coincide, we've had very little from companies talking about budgets. if a couple companies say we are sitting on our hands a
12:09 pm
little bit with and will go higher with the budgets, that will help the markets. neil: you are a walking encyclopedia investing billions in ai. and a series of drones hovering around the stock exchange than you might want to worry in new jersey or new york. what is the latest. >> what a 24 hours it has been. jeff brown, and floated the idea that it can't be china once again.

12:13 pm
>> that's the frustration. yesterday at the meeting i was there with 100 mayors of new jersey, 565 towns, it is pretty good. governor murphy disrespected everybody by not showing up. neil: how did he explain his absence? >> nobody said anything. state police, governor murphy is not there. we need leadership in new jersey. if you are the governor, you have hundreds if not thousands of drones coming into your state and nobody knows who is running them where they are coming from or where they are going back to, they don't know anything but this is an invasion. they should be top priority bar none against anything else. neil: a couple were spotted over donald trump's golf course
12:14 pm
so that had me thinking they are okay with that. the military, the foreign object like that, they would shoot it down. what are we to make of that? if you had to guess? >> it gets worse because we are talking about what is happening since november 18th but the reality, i found out the other day this was in the wall street journal, october 12, 2024, two months ago, mystery drones swarmed the us makary base for 17 days and the pentagon is stumped. are you telling me this is america in 2024? flying over bases. the pentagon, are you actually telling me we have no clue who is flying these drones. neil: the governor dismissed it and disputed it but a foreign source that was in the region.
12:15 pm

12:16 pm
i'm not seeing anything, not getting any answers or any actions. time to fix this problem. neil: you are concerned and you want answers. when they tell me what to worry, >> when they say they are here to help you, that is when you should worry. neil: i am getting. in honor to see you. in the meantime you might have heard that elon musk, don't know if he is worried about drones what is total wealth has well has eclipsed $400 billion, has double the wealth of jeff basu's who was the richest man on the planet. he leads him by $200 million. his mom is next.

12:23 pm
let me get your take on how your son has evolved close to donald trump. popping up at mar-a-lago, what's going on, what do you make of this relationship? >> first of all, meeting the trump family, everyone is delightful, kind, sweet, generous, interesting, soft-spoken, as politicians you can talk loud and the met milania, and -- >> you are kindred spirits. there are a lot of people, donald trump is a key advisor
12:24 pm
to him, and and going to rig this, anyone -- what do you think when you hear that stuff? >> a dishonest media. nobody is listening, doing this well. neil: there's a time that they were arguing with each other but on the same page. in the campaign, do your your son recognize, to pay attention to and should be able to pay attention to. >> i don't know any line made
12:25 pm
the change, when the twitter files came out, the fbi was paying millions to remove republicans to this site you didn't realize was democratic site and i didn't like the dishonesty. i don't want somebody to take my tax dollars and give it to twitter to remove people who have a different opinion. it is a gradual change when you're a democrat to become republican. it is really hard enough. i would encourage democrats to take a chance and they will be happier. neil: you were pretty apolitical as was your son and in the last couple years, the passion on political events,

12:29 pm
long way ahead for me. neil: i get that too. the fame thing, they pay for their meals. step back and get your sense where you think of the world goes because we have been at each other's throats on the left and the right and there is a fear that donald trump comes to power and remembers these things you clearly remember, the slights and agitation and weaponization stuff but there is a fear he is going to return the favor in spades and be on a retribution tour. what do you think of that when you hear that? >> i think trumps wants everything to be open so we you know where your tax dollars are open. he's not going get to be mean to people. when i see him he seems happy is that he can make changes that will improve the life of
