wrapped up a meeting with senator rick scott and now meeting with senator ron johnson and kennedy is getting his steps in here on capitol hill. he is kicking off a marathon week of meetings with over two dozen senators. his spokesperson telling fox business that kennedy is energized and excited. kennedy's nomination has faced some unease from some republicans who are skeptical of his past comments on vaccines. senator minority leader mitch mcconnell who contracted polio as a child had some concerns about kennedy's comments on the polio vaccine specifically, but kennedy told reporters today, he is all for the polio vaccine. the "wall street journal" reports that kennedy's strategy going into these meetings is to focus on cleaning up our food supply and not focusing as much on vaccines. president-elect trump said kennedy is not extreme. >> i think he's got a very open mind or i wouldn't have put him there. he's very much less radical.

this $100 billion and hundred thousand jobs into the united states. >> going to ask him right now. would you make it $200 billion? >> [laughter] liz: [laughter] it's great, right? i mean, so you see trump in action. is the era of failed democrats socialist policies that obama started, under biden, biden took up that baton and ran down the road with it. is that now over or is it changing? do you see the media reacting more positively to trump? where are the house democrats responding positively too. >> i think the past is definitely over and whether the media gets it or not i frankly don't care and i don't think anybody in america cares. they just aren't that relevant anymore. they've proven themselves to be not only dishonest but so discreet id the we don't pay that much attention to them but we are paying attention to is somebody who shows up with the checkbook and says here is 100 billion and the president looks at him and says let's double that and make it

200 billion and 200,000 jobs, and he doesn't run for the exit. this is classic economic stimulation for the country. i love the way he does business. it's straight-up transparent. there's not a lot of hand ringing or let's go back and sweat it out. no. he just says here is what we would like and you know what? people respect that, liz. a lot. it's working. liz: 49 states have swung red. there's only one state that's blue it's massachusetts. it's basically the map is democrat-run cities. let's listen to trump talk more policy. he says he will fire stay-at-home government bureaucrats working from home and listen to him slamming biden for selling off pieces of the border wall. watch. >> if people don't come back to work, come back into the office they are dismissed, and somebody in the biden administration gave a five-year waiver of that so for five years people don't have to come back into the office. it involved 49,000 people

for five years, they don't have to go. they just signed this thing. it's ridiculous, so it was like a gift to a union, but now, we had, we ordered an additional 200 miles of wall. it's very expensive, and now it's about double the price of what it would have been six years ago. what they are doing, it's almost a criminal act. liz: governor, what do you expect more we'll see coming out from when trump takes office, his people getting power. what more will they uncover? >> well the fact they have uncovered that 94% of the federal workforce are working from home. whenever, liz, in the history of the world, do the employees get to tell the employer what their conditions of work are going to be? i've never had a job like that. i've been working since i was a child even before i was a teenager. i never got to dictate the terms. i love the way that donald trump is treating this like a business
5:12 pm
ceo would treat it and say here are the conditions. you don't want to come to work, fine. you'll find something else to do but it won't be with the federal government. god bless him. liz: my parents, like you, never wanted stay-at-home children, not working. they wanted us out of the house working. governor huckabee congratulations again, good to see you. thank you, liz. >> the government knows what is happening. look, our military knows where they took off from. if it's a garage they can go right into that garage. they know where it came from and where it went. liz: that was president-elect trump on the mystery of drones over the east coast saying our government knows exactly what is happening. let's welcome to the show new jersey assembly republican whip brian bergen. brian we've seen you in action. do you agree with trump our government knows what's happening? we hear eye witnesses say they are seeing fleets of dozens of
5:13 pm
drones more sophisticated than they ever imagined flying in off the ocean reportedly eight to 1. they can't be detected because they don't give off heat. what are these drones? what do you think? what's going on? >> well first of all, i think our government at least here in the state of new jersey and everybody trying to figure this out is completely incompetent and not able to figure out what's going on so if somebody does know what these drones are i don't think it's the state police or the department of homeland security. i don't know who would know, but what i can tell you is that they aren't doing enough to figure it out and that's what really annoys me here. we have all of the resources. we have a governor that is one of the most powerful governors in the entire country with a national guard at his disposal. they can put these resources to bear, to figure out exactly what is going on so we don't have to guess. i represent 250,000 people who are nervous and they don't need to be. liz: well, what is it? whose doing it?
5:14 pm
i mean, dhs secretary mayorkas says it's more people flying drones at night because of an faa rule change that opened that up. we're paying nearly l $50 billion a year on defense and we can't figure out whose flying these drones? who do you think is doing it? >> we should be able to. i have no idea whose doing it but secretary mayorkas, you know, he's dead wrong, and it's the type of attitude like that that he has that has prolonged this issue. if they would commit the resources to figure it out, hopefully we would know by now. like you're saying we are the united states of america. i live in the state of new jersey with a $56 billion budget. we can't put a couple folks on this to follow one back to where it comes? it's really driving me crazy, and the in epitude is perpetuated by people like the secretary making excuses and maybe not committing as much resources as they should be. liz: its now taken the biden white house three times as long to figure out this versus the chinese spy balloon which

they kind of have a bit of a meltdown and they feel like it can't possibly be legitimate, but the scope of this loss for them and the victory for trump and the republicans i think is clear enough that some of them are going through some soul searching and back to romney's phrase, the woke scolds, i co-authored a book nine years ago with mary katherine hem called "end of discussion" and one of the things we said on that book tour almost a decade ago, we said the left is getting something wrong. there is a difference between convincing people to shut up about what they really believe versus actually convincing people to believe something new, and i think the left was good for a number of years at convincing people to shut up. you don't think that, you better not say that, but ultimately people still have those beliefs and now they feel like there's a permission structure to actually be more honest about how they
