is wrong. >> what do you say to americans who feel as though you and other top democrats mislead them about president biden's mental acuity? liz: that was senator chuck schumer getting grilled by nbc on denying and misleading america about president biden's decline, but we've got this new new york times bombshell report. senator chuck schumer did know about his all along. tonight former trump deputy press secretary hogan gidley on the new and what people are saying are disturbing details in this time's report. plus this new debate in d.c. does this entirely overturn biden's legacy. also tonight this story. >> mayorkas let in about 12,000 murders, new york allowed 16,000 rapists, 600,000 people with criminal convictions. how many illegals will you plan to house in luxury hotel rooms and how about sex change operations for illegals?

liz: that was ohio senator bernie marino going after president biden and dhs secretary mayorkas for making america less safe by putting the border in a state of collapse. kristi noem really went toe-to-toe with democrat senators on how bad it is at her confirmation hearing today. she's going to be trump's dhs secretary if she gets confirmed. she's talking about how they want to fix it. we've got more sound to what went down but senate democrats are trying to stop trump's agenda. republican senator rick scott joins us in moments. he was at the senate confirmation hearing for kristi noem and will breakdown the fireworks plus this story. >> i'm going to make a bold statement. i'm not scared. i'll say what people can't say. if we cut one position, if we close one station, if we close one resource, the residents of los angeles are going to pay the ultimate sacrifice and someone will die. liz: we'll show you even more sound from that meeting of l.a. firefighter commissions, commissioners warning l.a. city

officials just three weeks before the palisades fire exploded that yes, people will die because of democrat budget cuts to l.a. firefighting. we've got new developments on the story coming up, fitness expert nutritionists and author jillian michaels is here to react and she's winning praise for being outspoken and compassionate about what's going on with the l.a. fire victims but first this story. >> you're acting like you're campaigning. he won the election and look at how they are still acting. it's all disgusting to watch. i didn't believe that man was the right man for the job. >> democrats including you were relentlessly harsh against special counsel robert herr for making an observation that proved pretty accurate about how joe biden might appear to a jury as a well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory. liz: that was espn's steven a. smith saying yeah, president biden was not fit to
5:04 pm
run again, and then you heard from jake tapper pushing back on adam schiff saying robert herr's report on president biden was accurate. pretty accurate. it called out basically biden for essentially being "senile" and now nbc is rocking d.c. with a scathing story calling president biden"one of the great tragedies of american politics." that biden "leaves a nation divided" a democrat party in tatters, and the american people questioning biden's claim he respects the rule of law. joe biden's final interview on msnbc again dark, angry and bitter. joining us now, media chairman and editor in chief steve forbes. steve great to see you again on this friday. what do you make of all of this? >> i think calling it a tragedy makes it sound like sha shakessperian. back in america literally fell apart, and everywhere you look, whether it's the economy, open

lawrence. i've got a lot of criticism, understandably. we've invested more in red states than blue states for two reasons. one, red states really screwed up. in terms of the way they handled their economy and manufacturing and access to supply chains. liz: so really being poisonously divisive on the way out the door attacking red states, steve. let's show the viewer the government data. abc news reported red republican-led states led the nation in job creation and economic growth after the pandemic. what do you make of this what biden is saying? >> i think it just goes to show about this cognitive diplomat kline. i believe he thinks that stuff is true they feed him but more and more stories are coming out, liz, about how bad this situation was and the staff tried to cover up for it and how they tried to cutoff meetings when it was clear biden didn't know what was happening, people made decisions, without the president knowing about it, so i think he believes this nonsense, but the fact of the matter is inflation was 1.2%
5:07 pm
when he took office. the economy was growing. look at the at situation today. higher prices, still concerned about inflation, a border now just being cured as donald trump comes into office, overseas now the u.s. is getting respect again. now they have a real president again. so everywhere you look this man is totally out of it and history will dam n him. liz: he keeps doubling down on falsehoods. the chicago fed and san francisco fed researchers also obama's top economic advisors, larry summers, steve ratner already said his government overspending did fuel inflation and i hate to get wonky but that pen wharton budget modthe inflad not reduce inflation. inflation is only down by 0.1% over the next five years. i mean, politico is now reporting historians saying he's a failed president, period.

full stop. >> well and then the facts show it. you mentioned about the red states. red states did well. why? because they cut taxes. you look at florida. didn't get caught up on the lockdowns that joe biden kept pushing. and things like that. regulations. we've had the tsunami of regulations, more regulations and peacetime in the last four years than the last hundred years put together and hurting the economy and the reason people are now beginning to be optimistic is the fact that relief is just around the corner as they used to say. liz: steve forbes great to see you again my former boss. thanks for joining us. >> thank you. >> his mental acuity is great. it's fine. it's as good as its been over the years. all this right wing propaganda that his mental acuity has declined is wrong. >> what do you say to americans who feel as though you and other top democrats mislead them about president biden's mental acuity? >> look.

we didn't. >> and democrats including you were relentlessly harsh against special counsel robert herr for making an observation that proved pretty accurate about how joe biden might appear to a jury as a well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory. liz: okay we're showing you that sound twice because this d.c. debate in washington, it is now blowing up. we're talking to sources there. this is the moment that the scandal of the hour, so to speak, that again jake tapper told adam schiff, special counsel robert herr's report that democrats attacked was accurate saying biden is senile and now the new york times report undercuts democrats including senator chuck schumer. chuck schumer has denied they mislead america about biden's cognitive decline. schumer is now the new york times saying knew about it for months. let's bring in former deputy press secretary to president trump, hogan gidley. hogan? let me please give you the details. the times reports senator schumer swallowed concerns for months and kept quiet about
5:10 pm
biden's senility, but that senator schumer ultimately decided to privately tell biden, he needs to step down and cannot, in other words don't run again, he risks going down in american history as one of the darkest figures in american history. what do you think? >> you know, you said that this is one of the biggest political scandals of the hour. i think it's one of the biggest political scandals of the last 100 years. for everyone who knew joe biden, stories are now trickling out saying they were talking about his mental and physical decline. the media, after that debate, had no choice because the american people actually saw that joe biden was so far off the reservation at that point and they tried to pretend as though they had found jesus all of a sudden and said oh, we're just finding out about joe biden so spare me the media getting congratulations for recognizing what we all were talking about now for years, and even other stories have pointed to the fact that staff knew this almost on day one in
5:11 pm
the spring of his first year, trying to pull him back from meetings. this was a horrific situation in the white house. this is the tip of the iceberg. we'll find out more in the weeks and months and years to come. liz: do you think trump is going to release more about this hogan? because the new york times report also says president biden even often forgot in the middle of their phone conversations why biden had called chuck schumer in the first place. he forgot what he had called about. so usa today says joe biden can't leave fast enough. how does this cover-up and biden senility recast his legacy and all of the decisions he made throughout his four years, because again, the new york times and "wall street journal" is reporting they did purposely, from day one, circle the wagons, cutoff access to biden, shutdown his schedule, he started at 10, ended at 4:00 in the afternoon, they just ring-fenced him off from everybody because they knew about his decline.
5:12 pm
>> having served with president trump in the white house in the first term, it's not a 10-4:00 job. it's a 24 hour job. obviously joe biden wasn't up to it. but his legacy is one of failure. in large part because the policies he put in place hurt the american people. of course wide open southern border, wars breaking out all over the world, crippling inflation, crime speaking in our streets but this cover-up of his mental and physical decline, i think, still, is one of the biggest scandals in american history, especially as it relates to what people did for this president. the cover-up and the carrying of water from the mainstream media. this person is in control supposedly of the nuclear codes. this person is leading the world's leading superpower and he wans in with it? we're finding out now, cabinet secretaries, senators, staff knew it and no one said anything and for all of the talk of getting trump out of office, using the constitution, everyone knew this about joe biden and no
5:13 pm
one said anything and tried to have him removed is just egregious. liz: one part of the story is disturbing is that ranking members of house arm services could not reach president biden during the afghanistan crisis. they felt he was way too optimistic, way too polyanish about oh, this is okay, kabul will be fine, afghanistan will be fine. 13 troops now dead and reports coming in that he did just want that heed line that the american pulled out in time for the 9/11 20th anniversary. >> of course and one of the worst decisions by a president ever. and when i was in the white house, i got calls all the time from reporters who said people at the pentagon say this. what say you? joe biden didn't get a single question when he tried to pretend as though no general told him this would lead to disaster the way he approximatelied out and we find out he was told that but he wanted the political headline. what a disgusting move by joe biden and 13 people who served this country are now dead because of his decision.
5:14 pm
he owes those families and this country an apology, monday, cannot come soon enough. liz: hogan gidley thanks for joining us we appreciate you so much. >> absolutely. >> i'm going to make a bold statement. i'm not scared. i'll say what people can't say. if we cut one position, if we close one station, if we close one resource, the residents of los angeles are going to pay the ultimate sacrifice and someone will die. liz: okay, we've got more of that sound from the l.a. firefighter commissioner's meeting, warning l.a. democrat officials just three weeks before the palisades fire exploded that people would die due to democrat budget cuts to the firefighting team. more locals now calling out the dangerous negligence and wrecklessness of what went on. speaker johnson even telling governor gavin newsom, stop focusing on repeatedly tweeting selfies of yourself on twitter. focus on the l.a. fires. look whose coming up we're excited to talk to fitness

liz: we're hearing senate democrats put up a fight against trump's agenda. what do you think of that? >> well of course. i don't get it. president trump won the electoral vote big. he won the popular vote. he is the president for the next four years. why wouldn't the democrats want him to be successful if they care about this country? but starting with chuck schumer, and all these democrats, they are going to obstruct, obstruct, obstruct. they are going to do everything they can to prevent trump's agenda from getting implemented. they are going to slowdown all his nominations. fight all of his bills. i just don't get it. i don't know why they don't care about this country. they continue to support sanctuary cities and open border. they are going to continue to support high inflation, more spending, more debt, all these things. i do not get it. if they would listen to the american public they voted against those things. liz: okay so president trump is saying, day one he will do at least 100 executive actions
