stuart: sheriff, what are you seeing right now? has the flow essentially stopped? >> you know, the flow between the ports of entry had a started to slow a few months ago and, of course, that was because -- the prior administration waited so long and finally took some action. but what america needs to know is that they still encouraged, the cbp-1 app which has gone away and the chnv that flew those people into the country, that has also gone away. what we will see is border security reestablished, operational control reestablished along the entire southwest border with mexico that allows border patrol agents to get out and apprehend those crossing in between the ports of entry. stuart: but the cbp-1 app, that's shut down. >> yes, sir. stuart: i'm told manager like a million people came in under that that app. it is now shut down. that really does stop the flow. here's a question, what happens to those people who are already here that came in on the cbp-1

app? if what happens to them? >> and, stuart, that's a great question. look, that that app was shut down as soon as he was sworn in. cbp put out a post on social media said, it's done. but the question you just asked, those people who were already allowed in, they were given a date to show up for their immigration court to give their credible fear claim to an asylum officer. the vast majority of those people will not show up, and there'll be some of those that the i.c.e. agents and border patrol agents that are on the task force will go out and target and look for to help deport in addition to criminal aliens. stuart: it starts today. sheriff, thanks for joining us. >> thanks, stuart. stuart: let's go back to brooke taylor at the border in el paso. what's been the effect of the trump president city, put it like that, in the last 24 hours? has the flow basically stopped? >> hi, stuart. as we know, president trump calling this a national emergency here at the southern border, so that is going to allow him to deploy the military
