5:00 pm
after last month's massive solar flare added a 25th hour to the day, businesses are wondering "what should we do with it?" i'm thinking company wide power nap. [ employees snoring ] anything can change the world of work. from hr to payroll, adp designs for the next anything. larry: tell you what watch out. they didn't help mr. trump on the border 25% tariff here it comes. it'll decimate their economy. oh, and by the way, gulf of america, has kind of a nice ring to it you know what i mean? elizabeth macdonald has a nice ring to it. liz: [laughter] we hope, you know, larry i love your talk about optimism. it is a force multiplier and i was reminded of mohammed ali.
5:01 pm
trump is like bringing optimism back in. remember how mohammed ali was so confident? thank you so much larry we'll see. okay, welcome to the "evening edit" i'm elizabeth macdonald. >> any moment now president trump is set to announce a major new investment by big tech in america. we will bring it to you live when the president comes out, plus we've got more details on president trump's major blast of executive power, obliterating the biden era and that dark period. florida congresswoman maria salazar joins us to react to that and president trump vowing to fix every single crisis biden and democrats put america through. also this tonight. >> [overlapping speakers] >> thank you, thank you, thank you. >> mr. president, can you tell us about the hacking of cabinet
5:02 pm
officials by china and the threshold of concern you have about it, sir? liz: that was former president biden, literally avoiding reporters but president trump has not even been in office for 48 hours and president trump already has been more open and transparent than biden was in four years. american majority ned ryun will take on what you can expect in the refreshing, bold new world of the transparent trump presidency. plus, new details coming in on president trump's historic action to shut the border to keep americans safe. also this story. >> is that a thing? preemptive, what is it? preemptive blanket pardons? i haven't heard about this since monopoly with the get out of jail free card. >> have you ever heard of somebody getting a preemptive pardon who was innocent of all crime? president trump, as he winds down his last few weeks in office, is considering preemptive pardons. >> what a mess. [laughter] liz: media hypocrisy comes
5:03 pm
roaring back. that was the media, falsely attacking trump in 2020. falsely assuming trump was going to do preemptive pardons. he did not do them. yet, they are now silent on biden doing them. we've got the news of top democrats worried biden is violating and abusing u.s. law yet again. tonight former constitutional law professor horace cooper with his take on this new controversy but first this. we are now monitoring the situation. president trump at the white house. he's about to come out to announce a massive new investment in america, at any moment. talking hundreds of billions of dollars to build america's artificial intelligence infrastructure, to become the world's a.i. superpower, to take on china. now edward lawrence is at the white house with the story. edward good to see you. reporter: this is a massive private investment that's designed to make the united states the lead when it comes to data centers and a.i. this is the data centers to be built in texas, talking about
5:04 pm
and they will expand to other states and white house official confirms for me it's a joint venture between softbank, open a.i., and oracle. you see where the stocks two of them where the stocks ended up. ceo from all three companies are here at the white house right now for this announcement of an initial $100 billion adding to $500 billion over the next four years. it's a data centers in texas again, eventually be added and expanded to other states. listen to this. >> it's going to be a massive announcement, and it's going to prove that the world knows that america is back. they have a commander-in-chief but also a negotiator-in-chief who will be in the oval office today, and foreign leaders from around the world, investors from silicon valley to wall street, to main street, have confidence again in our economy and our markets and in president trump. reporter: this is again just day two of the trump administration. the executive orders reversed much of what the previous administration did including
5:05 pm
declaring a national emergency over the border, the southern border as well as over energy. the president withdrew from the paris climate accord. he reversed the electric vehicle mandate and directed all government agencies to consider the effect of inflation on any decision that's made. he also put a freeze on government hiring which he's now changing the way the government hires. listen. >> so this is about reforming the system of hiring in the federal government to ensure that merit is the star of hiring decisions? >> as per the supreme court. >> yes, sir. >> it's a big deal. merit. our country is going to be based on merit again. reporter: so this administration moving very quickly, liz, and the markets, they seem to be accepted or accepting of this , what 537 points today it's up. liz: edward always great reporting from you thank you so much. let's get quick reaction from house foreign affairs florida congresswoman maria salazar. congresswoman, your reaction to
5:06 pm
what edward was just reporting, because let me back up. we've been researching this. we have seen democrats and joe biden just doing distracting attacks on president trump as china is eating america's lunch when it comes to artificial intelligence. china is doing its own form of a belt-and-road infrastructure push to invest in massive data centers for speech recognition, facial recognition, and artificial intelligence to dominate the world here, so trump is trying to get america to catch up. >> that is correct and thank you for the opportunity, and i'm sure that many people still do not understand what a.i. does or does not do, but i think this is very simple. a.i. has to be in the hands of the united states. a.i. is for the good and not for the bad. we need to beat the chinese when it comes to owning that space, and that is exactly what president trump is doing. we don't need to know much more. china cannot be the owner of a.i. because if we, the united states, the more
5:07 pm
benevelent country on earth owns that space and that technology, we're going to be able to then do medical miracles. we're going to be able to improve our economy. the most simple thing we're going to make it even simpler and the most difficult thing will make it simple. that's a.i. and that's why trump is ahead of the game just like in almost everything else with the 42 executive orders he just ordered, he just signed in the last few hours. liz: you just feel like it feels so 1982 when you look at the biden agenda and their old climate agenda when this is the future. it is a.i. let's show by the way, president trump, he is trying to bring america back. show the pageantry and the sights and sounds of the trump inaugural ball, president trump dancing with first lady melania so when you were at the inauguration, you watched what was going on and you saw president trump getting down to the business of fixing and running america, he did a blast of executive power, nearly a barrage of about more than 200
5:08 pm
executive orders wiping out the biden era. what does it feel like in d.c.? how is the mood in d.c. right now? >> well it feels like a new dawn, and even more, among the congressional delegation, in the gop conference, because we know that the madness has stopped. not only for us, but for the average american family. we know what's coming, economic progress, deregulation, no inflation, we're going to be again energy-independent. like he said hey we've got a lot of oil and a lot of natural gas. let's use it for our benefit. let's put the american family first. the wokeness part, it's everything is on every round, socioeconomic and economics, military, foreign policy. it's everywhere, so he's rolling back and i love the fact, elizabeth, that now tren de aragua that you have spoken about is in the foreign terrorist organization. you know what that means? that means that the military can
5:09 pm
go after them and that's exactly what we need because those people are being funded and master-minded from venezuela. that is our number one enemy and how could we have allowed 60,000 operatives of trend deto c treno come into this country and take over buildings and cities but now the military will go after them and nail them. it's exactly what they deserve. liz: yeah, congresswoman, you make a good point because america never saw them before until biden, and they were vicious, violent gang out of venezuela and biden really didn't do anything to stop them coming in. we don't see a democrat resistance against trump now. politico says president trump is the greatest american figure of this era. bloomberg says he's off the most astonishingpulled political come back america has ever seen. >> jeff bezos was there.
5:10 pm
i mean, we were in the rotunda watching the inauguration. we were right there with bezos. wasn't he a democrat until yesterday morning? who else was there? zuckerberg from facebook. four years ago, what did facebook do? it's not that i have nothing against social media. it's that why are they now having dinner with the new boss? because they know that there's a new sheriff in town, and, you know, i am the most bipartisan member. one of the most bipartisan members in congress, but you'll recognize that the united states has a role to play and that role has to be vibrant and with a lot of passion and that's what trump has. liz: well, you've got it too, congresswoman, salazar, thanks for being with us good to see you now watch this. >> thank you, lizzy. >> president trump, did president biden leave you a
5:11 pm
letter? >> he may have. don't they leave it in the desk? i don't know. reporter: what's in there? >> thank you, peter it could have been years before we found that. liz: that was president trump and his first day in the oval office and took questions from the media for 47 straight minutes, joked about a letter president biden historically always leaves the succeeding president. you know, president biden on his first day spoke for less than three minutes and took just one question. trump spoke for nearly an hour. let's bring in america majority ceo ned ryun. what can america expect here? we're waiting for the president to come out to announce stargate, a new push at a multi-billion dollar, hundred billion first, half a trillion dollars over four years, a venture now with oracle, open a.i., and softbank. so he's bringing in nearly a trillion bucks in investment into america right now. >> well, on this issue, i think
5:12 pm
there's a very delicate needle to thread. obviously, we can't have the chai coms controlling a.i. i don't trust sam altmann who runs open a.i. and i don't trust softbank. he's put billions and billions into achieving singularity because machines are better running this world than human beings so there's a delicate balance that needs to be struck here with this a.i. debate, but going back to that press conference. tour de force, there trump. he's riffing with the press for almost 50 minutes while signing all these amazing executive orders that are really turning, writing the ship for this country in regards to energy and border and immigration and a lot of those executive orders dealt with the administrative state as well and bringing that back into under the duly-elected president. liz: sit tight for a second. let's show the executive orders,
5:13 pm
please, that president trump is now doing. you know, america is not used to this because biden stayed hidden behind a velvet rope for four years and kept america in the dark. >> well, let's remember. when donald trump was in the white house the first time, he would go and have those little inpromptu press conferences as he was leaving the white house about to hop on marine one and fully capable and confident in actually dealing with the press and open and transparent. this is a thing over the last four years the press covered up one of the greatest scandals since watergate, biden's cognitive decline, whereas trump in his first term in this term is going to be very open, very transparent with the press, and therefore, with the american people. i think it's going to be a radical change from what we seen over the last four years. liz: so, you know, he's also interestingly, he yanked the security clearance for 51 national security and u.s. intelligence officials, accused of misleading america claiming hunter biden's laptop was russian disinformation. it was not. including on that list,
5:14 pm
former dni james clapper, the former directors of the cia, also john bolton. what's your reaction to that? >> i love it. i mean they aren't accused of it. they actually did. they willfully and knowingly mislead the american people, lied to the american people for political gain to put their thumbs on the scale to help joe biden get elected and to hurt donald trump and say that the hunter biden laptop was russian misinformation when in fact they knew it wasn't so they knowingly and willingly lied to the american people. they abused the trust that was put into them and i think the thing that trump has gone is first of all you knowingly lied and mislead the public and we know the security clearances are vital for them in the private sector making money so he's setting the record straight saying you're not going to have your security clearances. you've abused that privilege, so it also comes down to, liz, the fact that these intel officials thought they were better than the american people. they thought they were better than the duly-elected president at the time, trump, thought they knew better. this is part of the arrogance of
5:15 pm
these unelected bureaucrats we've seen play out for decades in d.c. they think they are above the american people and duly-elected representatives and they know better. i think that was very important move on the executive order. liz: president trump is about to come out to talk about a multi-billion dollar new investment in america's artificial intelligence involving new data centers. getting back to that do you expect biden's own officials like former secretary of state blinken could also get their security clearances revoked too because the way the trump's new executive order is written it stipulates the directors of national intelligence and the cia must submit a report by april to president trump, that includes any additional inappropriate activity from anyone connected to the letter, and we know that anthony blinken reportedly did have a connection to that letter. >> he organized it. from everything we've heard reported, blinken went out and he organized knowingly organized this lie to the american people to get these 51 intel officials to actually put their name
5:16 pm
this document to lie to the people, to actually cloak the truth of what took place and i would remind people, liz, if you were to go back and look at post-election 2020 battleground states, if people had known the truth about hunter biden's laptop, it would have switched about 9% of the vote. donald trump would have been re-elected in 2020, except for one of these lies, the hunter biden laptop, that blinken organized and these officials lied about to the american people. it was quite significant in the 2020 election. liz: we know you're an avid reader of the news. do you feel in your opinion that the media has been covering what you're talking about? >> no of course not. no. this is the thing that i think will be interesting over these next four years. i think that the american people have woken up to the deep state working in coordination hand and glove with these corporate propagandas and being able to run this tag team and be able to actually damage their political opponents. i think we're seeing that
5:17 pm
dynamic change dramatically in this second trump term. that's one of the dynamics that's not actually been discussed enough, liz. in the first term the american people were not quite aware of the game that is played in d.c., where a lot of these administrative state unelected powerful bureaucrats leaked to the press, the corporate propagandas to score and achieve their political goals to take out political opponents over policy differences. i think that gig is up. i think the american people are wise to it and we're going to see a different dynamic in the second term. liz: we've seen reports that democrats, including hillary clinton's team, joe biden's team, was leaking to the media in order to do negative attacks on trump in the media. do you think president trump should opal of the books on how the justice department and the justice system was weaponized by president biden, how the fbi was weaponized basically following the line of hillary clinton's team to attack trump. >> i think the only way, we have a crisis of trust in our
5:18 pm
institutions right now, liz, and i think there's a real crisis of confidence and the doj, the fbi, the intel community, and i think the only way you restore trust in those institutions is accountability. it's not retribution. it's accountability for very poor behavior, abuse of power, and i think that has to happen and they have to be consolidated equestionss and pam bondi and kash patel are able to achieve that. liz: ned ryun great talking to you thanks for joining us. now to the news of this hour. it's breaking right now at any moment president trump, he's at the white house. he's about to come out to announce a massive new multi-billion dollar investment in american artificial intelligence. it's expected to be hundreds of billions of dollars to build america's a.i. infrastructure to become the world's a.i. superpower to take on china. now to this story. we've got new developments on president trump's cabinet nominees and their confirmation hearings, plus the new u.s. secretary of state marco rubio already meeting with the foreign
5:19 pm
minister of japan this hour. we're keeping an eye on that too. rnc chairman michael whatley is here to react and democrats led by chuck schumer accused of trying to slow-walk the confirmation hearings of trump's nominees, trying to stonewall it. also tonight this story for you. >> is there an innocent explanation for someone to seek preemptive pardons for family members? >> the answer to that is going to be no. >> people who have done nothing wrong do not need to be pardoned. >> why would you be pardoning them preemptively if you didn't think they might have done something? liz: voters again slamming media and democrat hysteria and their false attacks on trump, falsely claiming he was going to preemptively pardon his family. he did not do that and now they are silent on biden doing that. tonight, horace cooper on this , and this story, even top democrats are afraid biden did violate the law here but first
5:20 pm
this story. >> as of today, we prioritize public safety is what we're looking for , so we're working on the target list. liz: okay that was trump border czar tom homan announcing i.c.e. raids targeting criminal illegal aliens, they have begun today. president trump is moving to shut the border. voters want this , but democrats not putting up much of a fight against this. have they and the media finally woken up to how biden and democrats really damaged america, with criminal chaos. next, fox news brook taylor has an update from the border, national border council art del cueto is going to take it on, stick with us we're back in two. >> i have no higher responsibility than to defend our country from threats and invasions. all illegal entry will immediately be halted. i will declare a national emergency at our southern border. >> [applause]
5:21 pm
liz: listen to president trump. here is president trump. >> as president we're back and we had a great first term but we're going to have an even better second term, and i think we're going to do things that people will be shocked at. we're starting off with tremendous investment coming into our country, at levels that nobody's really ever seen before, and they are very happy with the fact that i won the race, and that they feel confident in their adjustments and it's big money and high-quality people. so my first day back from having a nice life, it's my honor to welcome three of the world's leading technology ceo's and in the case of larry, larry ellison, it's well beyond technology. sort of ceo of everything. he's an amazing man, and amazing
5:22 pm
business person, but to announce the largest a.i. infrastructure project by far in history and it's all taking place right here in america. as you know, there's great competition for a.i. and other things and they're coming in at the highest level. we're joined by oracle executive chairman larry ellison, softbank ceo my friend masa yoshi and ceo of open a.i. and i would say by far the leading expert based on everything i read, sam altmann, so, that's great that you're coming in together. that's a massive group of talent and money. together, these world-leading technology giants are announcing the formation of stargate. so put that name down in your books, because i think you'll hear a lot about it in
5:23 pm
the future. new, american company that will invest $500 billion at least in a.i. infrastructure in the united states and very quickly moving very rapidly, creating over 100,000 american jobs almost immediately. this monumental undertaking is a resounding declaration of confidence in america's potential under a new president. let me be, a new president. i didn't say it. they did. so, i appreciate that, fellas, but it'll insure the future of technology. what we want to do is we want to keep it in this country. china's a competitor and others are competitors. we want it to be in this country, and we're making it available. i'm going to help a lot through emergency declarations because we have an emergency. we have to get this stuff built, so they have to produce a lot of electricity, and we'll make it possible for them to get that production done very easily at
5:24 pm
their own plants if they want where they will build at the plant, the a.i. plant, they will build energy generation and that will be incredible. it's technology and artificial intelligence, all made in the usa. immediately, stargate will be building the physical and virtual infrastructure to power the next generation of advancements in a.i. and this will include the construction of data centers, very very massive structures. i was in the real estate business. these buildings, they are big, beautiful buildings that are going to employ a lot of people and physical campuses in locations currently being scouted nationwide. they are making their choices of locations. i think they have their choice. i'd like to ask larry, sam, and masa to say a few words, and just talk about, a little bit about what they're doing, and if you have any questions and then
5:25 pm
we'll go into a couple of other subjects also, but this is, to me, a very big thing. $500 billion stargate project. i think it's going to be having that's very special and it'll lead to something that could be the biggest of all. so, larry, maybe we'll start with you and we'll go down the line. thank you. >> okay, thank you, mr. president. >> thank you, sir. >> thank you, mr. president. we certainly couldn't do this without you. it would simply be impossible. a.i. holds incredible promise for all of us, for every american. we've actually been working with open a.i. for a while and with masa for a while. the data centers are actually under construction in the first of them are under construction in texas. each buildings a half a million square feet. there are 10 buildings currently being built but that will expand to 20 and other locations beyond the abilene location which is our first location.
5:26 pm
the kind of applications that we're building, they give you an idea, maybe the most charasmatic and the ones i think touches us all is electronic health records, not just maintaining electronic health records but by looking at electronic health records, understanding the condition of their patients, and being able to provide healthcare plans that are much better than they otherwise be. a doctor in indian river reservation be able to see how a doctorate memorial sloan kettering would treat the patient or a doctor at stanford would treat the patient. we actually provide all of that information, all of that guidance to the doctors treating cancer patients or patients with any other kind of disease made possible by a.i. i'm not going to take a lot of time and i'll pass it to masa, but this is a very exciting program for oracle to be a part of. thank you. >> thank you, sir.
5:27 pm
>> thank you. that's good. that's great. i feel tall now. [laughter] thank you. well, mr. president. last month, i came to celebrate your winning and promised that we will invest $100 billion, and you told me, oh, masa, go for 200. now, i came back with 500. because this is the , as you said yesterday, this is the beginning of golden age. >> the golden age. >> of america. this is one great example, i think. right? we will have decided to do this. >> i think so. >> this is the beginning of the golden age. we will have decided unless you won.
5:28 pm
and yesterday, we agree, we signed to make this happen. >> that's great. >> because of this day. >> very nice. >> so, we would make this happen. we would immediately start deploying hundred billion dollars with the goal of making $500 billion within the next four years, within your time. right? because of your success. so, we are very very excited to do this , and our partners of course softbank, open a.i., oracle, and additionally, investing partner was mjx. on top of that, we have the technology partner nvidia and of course microsoft has been very very supportive to sam and continued to support all our success. this is not just for business.
5:29 pm
as said, this will help people's life. this will help solving many many issues, difficult things that otherwise we could not have solved, with the power of a.i. i think agi's coming very very soon and after that, that's not the goal. after that, artificial super-intelligence will come to solve the issues that mankind would never ever have thought that we could solve. well, this is the beginning of our golden age. thank you very much. >> thank you very much. fantastic. >> i don't have too much to add but i do want to say i'm thrilled we get to do this in the united states of america. i think this will be the most important project of this era and for agi to get built here to create hundreds of thousands of jobs, to create a new industry centered here.
5:30 pm
we wouldn't be able to do this without you, mr. president, and i'm thrilled we get to. i think it'll be an exciting project. i think we'll be able to do all of the wonderful things these guys talked about but the fact that we get to do this in the united states is, i think, wonderful, so thank you very much. >> could you just say one word, i hear so many positive things about what it's going to do for medical research and for solving things, cancer and all of the different problems. how will a.i. help us with the fight against the various problems, diseases, et cetera? >> these guys can maybe share more about some of the work they are doing there. i think they will jointly be some of the leaders about driving progress here, but i believe that as this technology progresses, we will see diseases get cured in unprecedented rate and amazed how quickly we're curing cancer and that and heart disease and what this will do for the ability to deliver very high-quality healthcare, the cost but really to cure
5:31 pm
the diseases at a rapid, rapid rate will be, i think, among the most important things this technology does. >> very good. thank you. >> so we're currently working on, did i step on this? all right >> [laughter] .>> [laughter] >> i'm not that tall. [laughter] >> thank you, mr. president. one of the most exciting things we're working on, again, using the tools that sam and masa are providing, is a cancer vaccine. it's very interesting. early, it turns out, i'll be quick. all of our cancers, cancer tumors, little fragments of those tumors float around in your blood. so you can do early cancer detection with a blood test, and using a.i. to look at the blood
5:32 pm
test. you can find the cancers that are actually seriously threatening the person, so again, cancer diagnosis using a.i. has the promise of just being a simple blood test. then beyond that, once we gene sequence that cancer tumor, you can then vaccinate the person, design a vaccine for every individual person to vaccinate them against that cancer, and you can make that vaccine, that mrna vaccine, you can make that robotically again using a.i. in about 48 hours so imagine early cancer detection, the development of a cancer vaccine for your particular cancer aimed at you, and have that vaccine available in 48 hours. this is the promise of a.i. and the promise of the future. >> thank you, sir. >> thanks.
5:33 pm
>> mr. president, can we ask a couple of questions? >> just one second. we'll finish up but these are highly-respected guys. i was shocked with larry because i don't think larry does this stuff. you did a very good job for a guy that doesn't do it much, right? but he's so respected, and the group and it's really an honor, but for larry to be here and do this is very unusual because he doesn't do this stuff. and you don't need it, do you? you don't need it, but i just, i think that it's an honor to the country. it's a great honor that this group, these are the top people and they're going to do it and do it here and we're going to make it as easy as it can be. 500 million on stargate project comes in addition to a separate pledge between 100 and $200 billion from as we know
5:34 pm
from masa. we talked about before, also 20 billion from demac, which was great and we had many others, some i'll just announce it, it's easier but with some i know them and they are so highly-respected i'd rather do it this way. many would like to do it this way but we're letting the world know what's happening. this is money that normally would have gone to china, or other countries but in particular, china in total, before the end of my first full business day in washington and the white house. we've already secured nearly $3 trillion of new investments in the united states and probably that's going to be six or seven by the end of the week. tremendous amounts of money are coming in for many things other than even a.i. a.i. seems to be very hot. it seems to be the thing that a lot of smart people are looking at very strongly. our country will be prospering like never before. i think that's true, and it's
5:35 pm
going to be the golden age of america. as i said yesterday we had the most ambitious action-oriented day of any administration in history. there's never been a first day like yesterday as you know. i signed a sweeping slate of executive orders to stop the invasion of our borders. i launched a government-wide effort to defeat inflation and bring down the cost of nearly life and bring down the cost of energy, magnificently bring it down, and when energy comes down, larry, i say generally speaking when energy comes down everything else comes down. the prices of food and the prices of everything else come down. energy is the big baby and we declared a national energy emergency to drill, baby drill, our term that we use, we're going to drill baby drill like never before. we ended destructive dei mandates across the federal government and returned to our country to a merit-based system
5:36 pm
and a common sense system. as you know, the supreme court gave us a decision on merit, where things in this country can be based on merit now instead of a lot of different rules, regulations, and things that really put our country at a big disadvantage. we permanently stopped government censorship, and restored free speech that was signed yesterday. we renamed the gulf of mexico, the gulf of america. sounds so beautiful. the gulf of america and returned the name of a great president william mckinley to mount mckinley. they took off the name and he was actually a great president. he was a very very successful businessman. he ran for governor of ohio. he won and did a great job as governor. ran for president and he won. he was assassinated ultimately in his second term unfortunately, but he was the tariff king and i don't think he was as bad as i am. i think that i believe in him
5:37 pm
even more than him, but he believed in him very strongly, and he raised massive amounts of money. our country was at its richest from 1870, to 1913, we had the most that was when we were the richest relatively speaking. we were the richest during that period of time. that was tariffs from other countries, and our administrations moving with unprecedented urgency and speed to confront every single crisis facing us and we'll get the job done and again, i want to thank sam and masa and larry for being here. it's an honor to have them and we'll take a few questions if you want. >> [overlapping speakers] reporter: you would agree that it's never acceptable to assault a police officer? >> sure. reporter: so then among those you pardon dj rodriguez, he later confessed on video to the fbi and pleaded guilty for his crimes. why does he deserve a pardon? >> well i don't know was it a
5:38 pm
pardon because we're looking at commuting and pardons, but i can say this , we'll take a lack att everything. murders today aren't even charged. you have murders that aren't charged all over. you take a look at what's gone on in philadelphia. take a look on what's gone on in l.a. where people murder people and they don't get charged. these people have already served years in prison and they've served them viciously. it's a disgusting prison. its been horrible. it's inhumane and been a terrible terrible thing. i also say this. you go to portland where they wrapped police officers, shot police officers, nothing happened to anybody. you go to seattle where they took over a big chunk of the city and people died. portland, a lot of people died, and you go also, take a look at minneapolis because i was there and i watched it and if i didn't bring in the national guard that city wouldn't exist today.

people were killed and nobody went to jail. so, these people have already served a long period of time and i made a decision to give a pardon. joe biden gave a pardon yesterday to a lot of criminals. these are criminals he gave a pardon to, give a pardon to all of these people that committed crimes? why did he give a pardon to the j-6 committee when they burned and destroyed all documents which showed they did what was wrong. not me. wait a minute. why did they give a pardon to all of his relatives and his brother who made millions of dollars to all these different people. he gave pardons. that's the question you should be answering. all right go ahead. >> go ahead. reporter: tell us about your meeting with speaker johnson and senator thune. liz: president trump holding a press conference right now. let's get right to rnc chairman
