the suspicion that they call it the biden crime family. there's a lot of attention that's paid to this and i think that is appropriate and we will be looking at it as well. liz: what can they do here? because preemptive pardons are not allowed under the u.s. constitution. the u.s. constitution doesn't allow preemptive pardons for future offenses. >> there's nothing that stops congress from doing an investigation and nothing that stops the justice department from doing investigation as to whether the pardons themselves were part of a cover-up scheme. two examples. in 2015, the state department was warning the white house about hunter biden on burisma being a major conflict of interest and impediment to policy in ukraine. in 2016 hunter biden went back to the state department according to the new york times and looked for the state department to arrange a sweetheart deal between the italians and burisma. this is all the while president biden is dining with hunter biden's business partners.

so at a minimum this is suggestive of a influence peddling scheme of which we don't know the details but of which president biden claims to be a very caring father was at the elbow of his son while he was doing this all the while he was living this high-flying lifestyle that we all know too well, so there is, what the pardon has done, liz, it has added smoke to a set of circumstances that i think the republicans have more credibility now and arguing there should be further investigation so i think this has made the situation much worse for biden. liz: yeah, maybe they will reveal the details on what really happened, because people and lawmakers have said this was the worst corruption scandal ever seen in the history of america and it's worse than watergate. let's please watch, we've got new sound coming out of president trump talking to shawn hannity moments ago on this. listen to this.

a truth and reconciliation commission to get to the answers and the bottom of what really went on with president biden. >> i think there are two things that trump says are important there. one is biden didn't pardon himself which means that the door is certainly open on investigation to the extent that the pardon represents of his family members represents part of a cover-up of an influence peddling scheme and i think the door is still open. the point about navarro and bannon of course is they went to jail for defying a subpoena. at the same time hunter biden was at the white house the night before he defied a congressional subpoena for to be deposed by the oversight committee which is my old committee and instead he insisted on an in-person public hearing, which was inconsistent with what the subpoena was. so again, the whole subpoena issue
